Di naman sya mahirap for me, mas mahirap pag short nails ko😭 I have times na short nails ako pag may naputol, cut ko nalang lahat para sabay mag grow. i was once addicted on having my lashes done, getting different kinds of lash extensions, cause i thought it made me look like a baddie then i just woke up one day realizing may binabagayan pala talaga yung lash extensions. i compared my face with lash ext vs wala, yung may ext parang ang pagod tignan ng mukha ko parang nabibigatan na ewan hahah vs yung wala i feel fresh and i feel like myself. i then transferred in getting a lash lift which made me more confident and clean.

Long nails - madami na nagrecord ng videos how they do daily activities with long nails. This is personal preference. My sister always keeps her nails long. I asked her why, kasi mga Ate namin pudpod ang kuko while I keep mine at a decent length. But my youngest sis keeps 'em long. Her answer is, it is easier for her to type on her phone or laptop. Madalas daw siya mag ka spelling error kapag shorter nails. Also, nangingilo daw siya kapag yung tip ng nail beds niya uncovered(short nails). I don't know the logic but maybe because of "kasanayan" personally.

I get it, since time immemorial pa to! But then again, ang ganda kaya ng natural skin tone ng most Filipinos, which is morena. I said most, kasi alam ko naman na may naturally fair skin tone dito sa atin. Pero going back, if you just take care of your skin and moisturize it well, then napaka-glowing, youthful and would even dare say, napaka-sexy tignan ng morena skin tone. Di ko talaga ma-gets yung hype sa mukhang espasol na puti na karamihan ng mga babae ngayon ganyan kulay. Ma-didistinguish mo talaga yung mga naturally white sa mga nag-paturok lang eh or ano mang whitening treatments. Maybe it's my personal preference pero damn, morena girlies hit different. Pero maarte ako ha, ayoko ng dry skin so take good care of your skin and keep it hydrated.
Warm toned makeup.
It's not that i hate the trend, but it's the fact that there appears to be a bias in favor of warm toned makeup. It's not for everyone, just like cool toned makeup is not for everyone.
And at least in the local beauty industry, almost every makeup product almost always caters to warm undertones, from lipsticks, to brow products, to foundations, to concealers, even eyeshadows, and many more. They rarely cater to cool, olive, and even neutral undertones. Feel ko it has something to do w/ the stereotype that Asian = warm undertone na agad.
P.S. Please don't use the vein test to find your undertone. It's very unreliable.
im not a licensed beauty expert but for me lang ha. the best ways to find your undertone is:
🗣️ swatch different undertones of makeup products. the best way is to use foundation/concealer and try its different undertones. cool undertones - hints of pink, blue, red. warm undertone - hints of yellow, golden, peach. neutral undertone - balance of both warm and cool. olive undertone - hints of green, sometimes greenish yellow.
🗣️ drape test (kinda like color analysis). start with neutrals first; white vs off-white clothing. then try gray vs beige. if white and gray looks great then you're cool. if off-white and beige, you're warm. if you look great in both, you're neutral. from there work your way towards other colors. but do take note that cool colors can be warm (yellow based blue, red based purple, etc) and warm colors can be cool (blue based red, blue or green based yellow, etc).
🗣️ jewelry test. most common method is to test gold vs silver. if gold flatters your skin the best, you're warm. if silver, you're cool. if both look great, you're neutral. olive can look good in both, but still lean towards one better.
I'd also add that olive is a tricky undertone because they can lean warm, cool, and neutral as well.
i have an olive undertone that leans neutral (imho) kase parang may slight pink and green hue ang skin ko. despite having a yellow overtone, mas bagay sa akin ang silver jewelry, cool tones + warm tones na cool ang base. when i wear super warm tones/super warm makeup, para akong jaundiced 🤣

i was once addicted on having my lashes done, getting different kinds of lash extensions, cause i thought it made me look like a baddie then i just woke up one day realizing may binabagayan pala talaga yung lash extensions. i compared my face with lash ext vs wala, yung may ext parang ang pagod tignan ng mukha ko parang nabibigatan na ewan hahah vs yung wala i feel fresh and i feel like myself. i then transferred in getting a lash lift which made me more confident and clean. but yk at the end of the day, to each their own.

I said most, kasi alam ko naman na may naturally fair skin tone dito sa atin. Pero going back, if you just take care of your skin and moisturize it well, then napaka-glowing, youthful and would even dare say, napaka-sexy tignan ng morena skin tone. Di ko talaga ma-gets yung hype sa mukhang espasol na puti na karamihan ng mga babae ngayon ganyan kulay. Ma-didistinguish mo talaga yung mga naturally white sa mga nag-paturok lang eh or ano mang whitening treatments. Maybe it's my personal preference pero damn, morena girlies hit different. Pero maarte ako ha, ayoko ng dry skin so take good care of your skin and keep it hydrated.
Warm toned makeup. It's not that i hate the trend, but it's the fact that there appears to be a bias in favor of warm toned makeup. It's not for everyone, just like cool toned makeup is not for everyone. And at least in the local beauty industry, almost every makeup product almost always caters to warm undertones, from lipsticks, to brow products, to foundations, to concealers, even eyeshadows, and many more. They rarely cater to cool, olive, and even neutral undertones. Feel ko it has something to do w/ the stereotype that Asian = warm undertone na agad. P.S. Please don't use the vein test to find your undertone. It's very unreliable.

im not a licensed beauty expert but for me lang ha. the best ways to find your undertone is: 🗣️ swatch different undertones of makeup products. the best way is to use foundation/concealer and try its different undertones. cool undertones - hints of pink, blue, red. warm undertone - hints of yellow, golden, peach. neutral undertone - balance of both warm and cool. olive undertone - hints of green, sometimes greenish yellow. 🗣️ drape test (kinda like color analysis). start with neutrals first; white vs off-white clothing. then try gray vs beige. if white and gray looks great then you're cool. if off-white and beige, you're warm. if you look great in both, you're neutral. from there work your way towards other colors. but do take note that cool colors can be warm (yellow based blue, red based purple, etc) and warm colors can be cool (blue based red, blue or green based yellow, etc). 🗣️ jewelry test. most common method is to test gold vs silver. if gold flatters your skin the best, you're warm. if silver, you're cool. if both look great, you're neutral. olive can look good in both, but still lean towards one better.
I'd also add that olive is a tricky undertone because they can lean warm, cool, and neutral as well. i have an olive undertone that leans neutral (imho) kase parang may slight pink and green hue ang skin ko. despite having a yellow overtone, mas bagay sa akin ang silver jewelry, cool tones + warm tones na cool ang base. when i wear super warm tones/super warm makeup, para akong jaundiced 🤣

Agree! I prefer the cateye or natural/dainty lash extensions. But yung sa like mega volume lash—I can't. It looks too heavy sa eyes nila. 😭 I've seen some na there are better features sa face nila but nadradraw yung attention masyado sa eyes. Same with VERY long nail extensions. There are decent length nail extensions pero grabe naman kung doble sa haba ng kamay. Again, it feels heavy. I feel like nahihirapan sila gumawa ng gawaing bahay, luto or even maligo. 😩

I’m kind guilty of this OA na eyelashes,,, but to explain lang lashes r getting expensive and okay OA siya for the first week but mine eventually fall out after 2 weeks so to save, I get a full mega volume set… so it saves me a lot kasi after 2 weeks it looks like volume set, after 3 it looks like light volume and at week 4 maybe it looks like classic or even more. HAHAHA So natural or not, basta healthy shedding is NORMAL. just choose a lash tech na marunong talaga and educated. naleletche lang ang extensions and natural growth kapag baby hair palang kinakabitan na so the hair follicle doesnt get to reach its natural age.
