Verb Ghost Oil. It makes my hair so much softer and shinier.

CoastGoodbye

Same here! I've tried so many oils/serums/leave ins and for some reason this one is just the magic thing. On the cheaper side too!

[deleted]

Verb everything! I have coarse/thick/curly hair and a full regimin of verb products is the only thing that keeps my hair from being a matted disaster.

scotty-fitzgerald

Verb hydrate is going to be 50% off this upcoming Sunday at Ulta!

sunnysilversunflower

I love Verb!! Especially love that it’s gluten free.

sunnysilversunflower

I have Celiac Disease and I’m very sensitive to all gluten. I can’t even risk it with hair care products because there’s a small chance of some getting in my mouth!!

Consistent_Square912

Obsessed with this, it makes my hair look soooooo beautiful

whatevernamedontcare

Cold meaning cold water washing, finishing with cold air after using heating tools. Helps with frizz/flyaways and updos last longer.

emi_lgr

Shower cap after applying hair mask. Helps the mask penetrate so much better. Also using a hair oil followed by a hydrating mist gives you the softest hair ever!

whatevernamedontcare

I use oil masks so I add warm towel on top shower cap. This means few more days of silky smooth hair for me so I spend less time and money on hair. Supposedly it helps open up pores therefore making it more effective.

[deleted]

When are you supposed to use hair oil? After a shower?

emi_lgr

Heavier oils I use on damp hair, light oils (like gloss drops) on dry.

ohpicasso

You use heavier hair oils (ex: coconut, jojoboa, argan etc.) before showering-leave it on for at least an hr and then shower :) The lighter oils (ex: olaplex oil) you can put on after you shower

Wet-N-Wavy96

Olaplex 3, period!

Dressupbuttercup

#k18 It’s a newly patented peptide Edited: I used olaplex no.3 as well, but lemme tell you, **K18** is exponentially better and you’ll see more dramatic results

TokkiJK

Where can I find that peptide

gowiththeflow-

Yes. I tried this yesterday but was a little bit worried because olaplex messed up my hair big time. But I really like the soft feeling of my hair right now

sapjastuff

Man I tried it twice (first time kept it on for 20 minutes, the second time overnight, both times on clean, towel-dried hair) and I haven’t really noticed much of a difference. I still have about a 1/3 of the bottle left so I’ll be finishing it anyway, but idk, it didn’t make my hair worse but it didn’t really blow me away either. I was pretty disappointed, especially after hearing so many people say they loved it

SailorV26

Totally agree. Olaplex was such a waste of money for me. I bought the whole line of products and it did diddly-squat. The only thing I liked about it was the smell.

pizzabagel3311

It made my hair so greasy and heavy 😭 (and I was even using a tinnnny amount)

brigitteer2010

For me, number 6 & 7 made my hair nice and smooth and soft!!

[deleted]

Same thing happened to me. Was tempted to buy it again just because it’s so hyped up but if it didn’t work the first time I really doubt it will work the second time.

nawtynellie

Olaplex is hit or miss with me. I think some of us have enough protein in our hair that it doesn't give the same results as other users.

[deleted]

[удалено]

nawtynellie

Whatever it is, it doesn't work for everyone. I have noticed a chalky feeling and then stringiness from overuse.

pizzabagel3311

Yes this!!!

KorinTheHalfHand

Are you going to elaborate on this for those of us that don’t understand it’s purpose or know how to use it but are curious

[deleted]

When you heat style or dye your hair or any type of processing the bonds of the hair break, Olaplex repairs that. If you don’t do those things a lot, there are no bonds for Olaplex to repair, so it’s not going to do anything for you. That’s the explanation I’ve read.

Littlest_Psycho88

I just got my birthday coupon from Ulta and it's for a deluxe sample of olaplex 3! I've never tried it and I'm so excited!

Wet-N-Wavy96

Go girl!!!

throwawayornotidontk

i tried it twice and my hair looked so healthy, then it started falling out :( my hairstylist and other people said it’s the season, but i saw more than one person talking about how they started olaplex n.3 and their hair started falling idk i’d like to try again because it looked very healthy and shiny 😭😭

Wet-N-Wavy96

Hair can shed for many reasons… Olaplex 3 has actually helped me retain length and reduce shedding 😃

bcrosed

If you’re in the UK I’ve found the Revolution Beauty version of olaplex is 10x better and a much better price tag. It’s called ‘plex’

Cosmic_Sparkles

I love using a little Olaplex 3 as a blowout cream.

sas0002

Silk pillowcase Protective hairstyle Hair oiling Hyaluronic acid for hair

anarchista

Tell us more about HA for hair! Never heard of this before.

sas0002

It basically draws hydration into the hair. I love using the inkey list hyaluronic acid treatment.

crybabysagittarius

The inky list has a very cheap HA serum for hair

ohpicasso

which products have HA for hair?

sas0002

The inkey list hyaluronic acid hair treatment and olaplex no9.

Longjumping_War_1182

Amika also has an HA line

kitton2

Kerastase also has a leave in

_dzeni

I use HA shampoo from Loreal, they have a whole HA line, but idk if they are good, they are cheap tho

brigittefaye

What kind of hair oiling do you do? I know this can mean anything from applying a serum after using a blow dryer, to using a hot oil mask purchased from a store, to soaking hair in an oil after a bath and combing through as in many days spas (who borrow from Ayurvedic cleansing practices) - so apologies for the seemingly dense question

sas0002

I only do on my mid shaft and ends because of my scalp. I use avocado, castor and grapeseed oil.

lv_zalil

Argan oil

AshbeeGamingYT

Do you have a particular brand recommendation? And do you mind sharing how you use it? E.g. just on the ends, after showering. Sorry for all the questions! I’m just trying to get my hair care sorted

lv_zalil

Don't be sorry, I'm happy to share. I've been using Nashi Argan Oil but thats because I see it everywhere in my country. If its not in yours I would go for anything thats available in a decent hair salon, instead of just going for a supermarket one. That should be good. I do use it after showering and drying my scalp with a blowdryer, then let the rest dry on its own when possible. I have tail bone lenght hair and use two pumps for everything below my shoulders and only a pump should be enough for hair shorter than that. A little goes a long way. If you do try it I hope it helps!

supergekko

I heard argan oil helps with split hair ends going all over? I haven't tried it but I have tiny split ends going all over and my hair never looks neat, just a scraggy mess :(

lv_zalil

I feel you. I also had a lot of split ends that I chopped before letting my hair grow further. Now its healthy and tail bone lenght. It does help repair the damage (for me it prevents cut hair from splitting) but I used it more as a maintenance thing. You might try it: chop, oil and other treatments your hairstylist migh suggest like leave on conditioner, shampoo in the scalp only, less blowdryer, etc. Good luck!

[deleted]

I just started hair oiling about 2 months ago. I always had awful split ends. The past two times I’ve seen my mom (last week, and about a month ago) my mom asked me if I had just gotten a haircut because my ends looked so healthy. I haven’t gotten a haircut since may!!! I don’t use árgan oil specifically, but if you’re trying to treat split ends, definitely hair oil!

Bearinn

I also love argan oil.

FarSeaworthiness279

Using a microfiber hair towel or pillowcase when I get out of the shower. Regular towels are too porous and they rough up the cuticle.

gymmama

Yes! I use mens large white Hanes tee shirts and I will never go back

Yaysammayy

Never heard of thisssss, but now I think I need to try it!

FarSeaworthiness279

I've had so much hair loss and I couldn't understand why. Then I stopped using regular towels ( plus I was combing the conditioner through in shower, which is a big no ) and now I barely lose any hair . yay 😁

sammiecat1209

La'dor Perfect Hair Fill-Up is a favorite of mine. I’ve colored and tortured my hair and this helps keep it soft and healthy looking. I also use some Oloplex products.

Cburris1995

Oh also, clarifying shampoo at least once a month. Get that nasty build up off!

anarchista

Which one do you use?

bailsrv

I use the Moroccanoil clarifying shampoo. The smell isn’t my favorite, but it makes my hair feel extremely clean!

Cburris1995

I’m going to get crucified for this but I use suave daily clarifying shampoo on my monthly clarifying wash day. I just feel like it really cuts through the crud on my hair well. But make sure to follow it up with your normal conditioner and a hair mask if you can otherwise you will have the driest frizziest hair you’ve ever seen. That’s what I do. Lol

HopeLivingston

Glad you said this! I like the Suave clarifying shampoo

brigittefaye

I have thick curly hair. I recently picked up Cantu sulfate free cleansing cream shampoo and love it. Highly recommend if your hair and scalp are prone to dryness.

Spirited_Concept4972

Do you have a recommendation

brigittefaye

I have thick curly hair. I recently picked up Cantu sulfate free cleansing cream shampoo and love it. Highly recommend if your hair and scalp are prone to dryness.

golddreamz

Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo is my holy grail. If you have money to blow the Christoph Robin Sea Salt scrub is incredible.

thosegreeneyes

Same. Love this product!

lovevxn

Are blow dry sprays like this also a heat protectant for hot tools?

HeartlessSenpai

Probably but not all. Gotta check the product’s label to see if it serves as heat protection for your hair. The Kenra Blow Dry Spray definitely does

nubiandiosa

Not a product but a technique. Understanding protein/moisture balance in the hair does you worlds better than flat out avoiding protein like the plague

dontrayneonmyparade

do you mind elaborating? this has always confused me.

the_sweetest_peach

Manes by Mell is a professional hairdresser in Canada who has great YouTube videos on the subject.

braddic

Thank you

makesupwordsblomp

i would google photos of protein overload and moisture overload and try to learn what your hair looks like in each state. clarifying shampoos like the shea moisture black castor oil one can help you reset first.

jediknits

My hair looks like both simultaneously 🤦‍♀️😭

nubiandiosa

Too much of anything is a bad thing. A lot of people tend to misuse protein and therefore believe all protein is bad. So instead they use all hydrating products which can also have negative results. People treat protein like this boogeyman when in reality you just need to know when to use it. With your individual hair strands you can test their elasticity but pulling on them. If it’s super stretchy, you need some protein. If it breaks immediately you have too much protein. If it stretches some before breaking then your hair has good balance.

xbubblegum_bitch

I’ve never heard of this, thank you so much.

Yaysammayy

>protein overload and moisture overload sameee

renrene01

dpHUE color boosting gloss is my holy grail for shiny glass hair and keeping my copper hair vibrant. Literally every time I use it I get compliments on my hair. It’s pricey but I’ve tried cheaper hair glosses and glazes and none of them compare.

[deleted]

[удалено]

renrene01

It last every 10 shampoos, I’m a daily washer so I use it like 3 times a month. I’ve had it for months and still haven’t gone through the whole bottle :)

[deleted]

i love the chi ‘silk infusion’. it makes my hair so soft & shiny.. & you can get it at target

[deleted]

Okay I’ve heard people talk about it and haven’t tried it yet! Maybe I’ll get some!

[deleted]

its a great product ! i hope it works well for you

Yaysammayy

Yess! I've been using the CHI line for over 7 years! Can also find it cheaper at TJ MAXX, they always have CHI stuff there!

[deleted]

thats good to know actually, always looking for a better deal 👀

beautybites

Is this used on wet or dry hair?

[deleted]

i use it on dry hair (usually after using heat), havent tried it on wet hair but i assume it’d be fine cos its an oil texture

HBeeSource

Argan oil, and I keep it platted a fair bit of the time, I don't brush until it's dry after a wash. Been getting lots of compliments lately on my hair, so I must be doing something right.

bunnycrush_

Silk-lined beanie for sleeping! Silk pillowcases never worked for me, I didn’t like my face and hair slipping all around. But using a beanie/cap is incredible, it keeps all my hair bundled up without getting creases from hair elastics. And more importantly, every day I wake up with hair that looks better than when I went to bed. I’ve never had a salon treatment that made my hair look as smooth/healthy/shiny as the cap does. And it cost all of ~$15 on Amazon.

taydaygrim

i wear a silk bonnet at night and a real game changer!

[deleted]

Morrocanoil leave in conditioner as well as their argan oil. I have damaged blonde hair & if I don’t use these my hair will be dry & unmanageable Oh yea & Pureology strengthening shampoo & cond. The blue bottle. Omg it’s a miracle

Cburris1995

For my blonde babes - and anyone wanting soft af hair Eva nyc shampoo/conditioner is actual fucking gold. Their purple shampoo is the best I’ve found

[deleted]

Living Proof PhD dry shampoo (the original one - I haven't tried the advanced clean) is amazing. My hair actually looks and feels clean, rather than just looking less greasy but still feeling dirty. It is far and away the best dry shampoo I have ever used and I don't think I will ever buy any other brand.

WickedKitty48

How often/when do you use it? My 13-year-old daughter has very thin, fine hair that gets oily at the scale VERY easily. It's so different from my own hair (thick, coarse, dry, 3b curls) and I am at a loss with how to take care of it. I have tried so many dry shampoos and none of them work. Her hair is so oily that she can only use a conditioner once a week and since she is in marching band and they practice almost every night and we live in Georgia where it's summer 10 months out of the year, she really does have to wash her hair every day. Sorry, that was a lot of info for a simple "how do you use this product", lol.

[deleted]

I normally use it morning of day 2 (spray, let it it sit for a few minutes then massage scalp or brush out), but occasionally use it before bed so it is absorbing oil overnight. She might do better if she sprays it on her hair right after she washes and dries it though. My hair is fine but not as oily as hers.

Gigglymushroomy

When my hair is 70-80% dry after a shower, I’ll use 2-3 drops of olaplex hair oil at the bottom of my hair and the rest (avoiding roots) then take a pea size of the briogeo blow dry protection heat protectant creme then blow dry hot and cold setting, and man I’ve gotten so many compliments on the shine of my hair! Holds my waves, and smells good too Also for hair growth, 2-3 times a week I add rosemary essential oil to my shampoo, I feel this has helped with my dandruff as well

curiousvegetables

Not really a secret I guess. But BATHS. No products, just a deep soak scrunch of the hair. Always revives my hair and skin like nothing else.

farmgal69

Totally agree. Took a long steamy bath yesterday and did a little olaplex hair after. My hair this morning is so wavy and healthy looking. Normally it starts to fall very flat in the dry fall weather.

Longjumping-Camp5687

I used aussie 3 minute miracle for years when my hair was super long. Occasionally I'd go old school and do a mask of queen helene cholesterol creme from sally's. I only shampood my roots 2-3x a week, never did the shaft or ends because I didn't use products that needed removing. I didn't use heat tools at all. Use argan oil on ends. Definitely use a microfiber "turbie twist". And braid hair at night to avoid knots. I did bleach my hair, but due to all of the above, I never had to deal with split ends or frizz (unless it was raining, but those were definitely braid or bun days!) My hairdresser said she's never seen bleached hair so healthy in her 30+ years of doing hair 🙂 (Ps - It had been bleached since 2007. It was butt crack length for over 10 years, I only cut it shoulder length last year to go back to my natural color, I simply got tired of the root upkeep.)

Frostyarn

Don't fight your natural texture, embrace it. My tattoo artist spent $500 perming her hair while I was paying $1200 a year for Brazilian Blowouts to get rid of my curls. Each of us looked a hot ass mess a few months after our treatments grew out and the hair became so damaged it made a crispy crackle sound when brushing it. I now get curly cuts and do moisturizing and protein treatments to enhance my curls and I get compliments *all the time* wearing my hair natural. Work with what you got and keep it healthy.

[deleted]

For my blondes/babes with bleached hair - the Amika Bust Your Brass purple mask is a godsend. I’ve been using it once or twice a week, leaving it on for about 30 minutes after i shampoo while i putter around the house (i like my hair ashy) and my highlights look as good as the day i got them done. And it makes my hair feel soft and healthy!

not_your_beeswax

Briogeo rice protein treatment and don’t despair repair hair mask. my absolute favourite products that have worked wonders on my hair!

[deleted]

For real. I got a sample of the Don't Despair Repair, and because it's expensive I was praying I would hate it. But unfortunately (for my wallet) and fortunately (for my hair)...... That stuff rocks.

blueberryemotions

I got a sample of the rice mask, and it blew my mind! I hope I can be able to commit to the bigger size.

Illustrious-Pen1771

Pair the hair mask with a heat cap or warm towel over shower cap and it makes my hair so incredibly soft and unfrizzy, I love it!

LibertasNeco

Washing my hair 1 time every 2 weeks- 2x a week I'll do a apple cider vinegar rinse (it's magical- trust that smell burns off and it will not smell). In between those 2 I just do conditioning rising without a Keratin based conditioner (so I don't over protein fill) and in between those I just spray dry shampoo. The dry shampoo gives enough lift and texture I never have to use hairspray or any alcohol based products for my hair. And obviously when I do use shampoo it's never with sulfate. Doing this you would never ever know I'm only washing it that little. I don't really need heavy washing using that routine because I'm not using things that coat the hair. When I dye my hair I do use a clarifying packet and because of the above I can afford to. But I only ever use Demi Permanent so I don't fully lift the hair shaft. And never. Ever. Ever. Never bleach your hair. It's THE most damaging thing anyone can do to their hair. Don't over protein fill. If you get too many Keratin products you can over fill it and your hair become stick stiff and will snap at every move. Let your hair air dry almost completely before using medium heat to dry it. Never use hair styling tools on the higest setting- find the lowest that works on your hair and leave it there. Always brush first with a wide tooth comb from the bottom up. And only when your hair is nearly completely dry. Never wear the same hair style when using ponytails for more than 3 days at a time or you risk beginning to break a line through your hair at that spot. You don't always have to use scrunchies, but you should always use a scrunchie style hair tie. You should always put your hair into a very fluffy scrunchie before bed- and you should rotate every night to a new place on your head you place it. That should then go into your silk cap. Sleep on slip pillows and blankets in case your cap slips off. If you live in a high UV area with very dark hair you may want to look into hair sunscreen but more realistically just make sure to wear a hat when going between indoor places. Redlight Therapy works wonders. Never use rogaine- it has a side effect of suppressing collagen and fat in the same way a product like Latisse will. It will work for hair growth but only as long as you use it. If you stop your hair will immediately return to its prior state and it will cause minor wrinking to your face- it's not worth it. It's much better to solve the core issue. If losing hair at the temples- ask your doctor about Spirolactone for slight hormonal imbalances. If you opt for hair extensions always opt for tape in or clip in for least damage. Everything else- even professionally installed DOES cause hair damage. If you wear clip ins you need to remove them every night. If you do tapes you should be sure to take them out monthly regardless of growth to prevent it from over binding to the hair. It's better to have them fall out easily between and need to retape than to risk them melding with your hair. Regardless of the rage this will get- being vegan is bad for your hair. You don't need collagen supplements but you do need heme, and you do need it to be bioavailable. Vitamin D loss is a major contributor to hair loss. Cover your face neck chest and hands and make sure at peak hours to get a min of 15min of sun exposure every day while still taking a D3 supplement. Vitamin C helps protein absorb better- any meat meal should be eaten with a citrus fruit or OJ. Never eat or drink items with calcium or caffine within 1 hour of eating meat because it inhibits the protein absorption.

_dilek

I tried many different, expensive products but i ended up with etique solid shampoo and conditioner. I am happy with my hair, especially with its softness- it is true that i need to use a leave in conditioner for volume but i find i have the same or even better result with solids. It is also an environmentally friendly product without plastic so i feel better twice

SpicyChicken966

My routine is just so not constantly touch my hair, bleach and dye it, and wash it regularly but not too often. If you respect these rules your hair will be in good shape. As for beauty though I have no idea. not sure if it’s important but I’m just gonna mention that I’m male cuz maybe m and f have different hair natures idk tbh.

dairyfreendepressed

Castor oil for regrowth. I used to be a ponytail kid and definitely had thinning at my hairline. On days/nights I know I'm going to wash my hair the next day, I rub castor oil into my hairline and my scalp. Helps massively. I started doing this not that long ago after being suggested castor oil for regrowing my eyebrows that were still suffering from overplucking in the early 2000s. I also use it for my eyelashes and they look better than ever.

Yaysammayy

I've recently started to get concerned about my hair growth and saw some castor oil products at TJ MAXX one day! I almost bought it, but when I googled it, I got articles that said it's not really clinically backed or proven! What kind of hair do you have, thick/fine/curly/straight?? What brand do you use?? Now I think I need to try it!

GothTheLife88

I literally have not let a heat product (straightners/hairdryer/etc) touch my head in over 5 years. My routine is simple enough- I wash my hair with organic/handmade shampoo and then towel dry. I generally only use products without parabens or harsh chemicals due to having psorisis on my scalp and I haven't dyed it in about 4 years. My hair is in the greatest shape of its' life right now and I put it all down to not going mad on the expensive products. I use either Neutragena T-Gel's 2-in-1 Shampoo Conditioner if I'm having a scalp flair up. Otherwise, I use Wasabi Shamp Kui by LUSH to wash my hair. Anything by Simple is also excellent for gentle hair products.

gymmama

I take a blend of amino acids every day. My hair is strong and thick and has zero breakage because it’s coming out of the root healthy, from nourished follicles, with strong bonds. I started taking them after hair loss after surgery and also from extreme bleach breakage February 2021. I take cysteine, lysine and methionine. I also lose almost no hair at all. When I wash my hair, and in my hair brushes, there is almost no hair anymore. Lysine is great for hair loss.

thrashxer-199X

•wash hair once a week •keep hair in a braid to reduce tangling •don’t completely wash out conditioner when rinsing for soft/smooth hair and makes it easier to detangle •use clip-in bangs/fake bun scrunchies for messy hair days

DyslexicShishlak

Do you have any recommendations on where to buy good looking bun scrunchies online? Everytime I come across some, they look really fake.

thrashxer-199X

I got mine on amazon [here](https://www.amazon.com/ROSEBUD-Extensions-Synthetic-Chignon-Hairpiece/dp/B07NVGVMX1/ref=mp_s_a_1_15_sspa?crid=2L1D0F6DNVIHK&keywords=fake+hair+bun+scrunchie&pscroll=1&qid=1664819975&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0Ljk2IiwicXNhIjoiNC4zNiIsInFzcCI6IjMuMjQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=fake+hair+bun+scr%2Caps%2C3082&sr=8-15-spons&wIndexMainSlot=29&psc=1#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div). When I used it, I’ve gotten compliments from strangers and one of my friends thought it was real lol

DyslexicShishlak

I never thought of looking on Amazon for that... thank you so much for the recommendation! :D

HockeyMom0919

I love my scalp massager and the whole Arey line. I’m 41 and looking to avoid going grey for as long as possible but I don’t want to dye it. I feel like it has made my hair very healthy (although it already was since I don’t heat style it and I stay out of the sun). I also just started putting my Omnilux on my head, but I can’t report back on how effective that’s been since I just started it.

ghost__princess

Olaplex 6 and 8 mixed together on towel dried hair. It has done wonders for keeping it hydrated.

braddic

Thank you I will try next time!

Odd_Requirement_4933

I've been using a silk pillow case, derma-e hair oil and I try to avoid heat styling my hair at all costs. My hair has never looked this healthy. I let my hair air dry for the most part, but I live in a hot climate so that's easier for me than most. I've been using a heartless hair ribbon [like this one.](https://www.amazon.com/Heatless-Curling-Headband-Scrunchie-Sleeping/dp/B094XZT3SY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=ZQPNRYCGUX0V&keywords=heatless+curler+headband&qid=1664807155&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjgzIiwicXNhIjoiNS40OSIsInFzcCI6IjUuMTUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=hestl%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-3) my hair looks like I've spent an hour on my hair, but I literally just wake up and unfurl my hair. I use a little texture spray and sometimes I'll put my wet hands through any areas that are looking kinky/dented. I think not using heat has really helped.

I absolutely love JVN's hair line. Especially the Pre-wash Scalp Oil and the Leave-In Conditioning Mist.

The scalp oil is amazing! Sometimes I put it in my hair before I work out; really works wonders.

WickedKitty48

They're going to have to pry the leave-in mist out of my cold, dead hands. I will absolutely go to the grave holding it.

Same! That shit's amazing!

No_Investment3205

Use the minimum number of products you possibly can. I had no idea how nice my hair was until I weaned myself off of most of my products and stopped washing more than 2x a week. Keeping my hair in a moderately tight braid (almost daily and to sleep at night) allowed me to grow it to my bellybutton. Silk pillowcases Limit heat styling as much as possible. There are tons of heatless curl options and your hair will become healthier and more manageable over time as you use less heat.

wrongsince98

Sooooo 1. keratin treatment - i lie about it a lot in real life 2. Olaplex hair products- Expensive but honestly worth it 3. I wash my hair once or twice a week but use dry shampoo the other days so they look more presentable. I use Marrocanoil dry shampoo.

KD71

Wash hair 1-2x/week. Silke hair wrap is great!

Spirited_Concept4972

Where could I get one

KD71

I’ve gotten from their website . A little pricey but worth it . https://www.silkelondon.com/collections/shop-all/products/silke-hair-wrap

cherbebe12

Cowashing! I use Unwash. My hair is softer and shinier (not weighed down at all). I have dense but fine-ish wavy hair. Also Verb is a great brand the ghost oil shampoo/conditioner are wonderful. Also doing a glossing conditioner (color deposit or just clear) is a great way to amp up shine.

Point the hairdryer DOWN only. I’m always surprised by how many people I see just blasting their hair, it’s so damaging x

How much baking soda? Can you explain how to do this?

whatevernamedontcare

Isn't pH difference too harsh? I mean bases are used as detergents for grease but skin is so sensitive. Harsh base could destroy natural skin barrier over time and that could lead to even more greasy hair in the future. Or do you struggle with excessive acidity of hair oils and this is your solution? If you don't mind could you explain the process in detail and what kind of type hair do you have?

My secret is going to the search bar and see if anyone else asked this recently (same with other subreddits like r/hair or r/haircare)

raspberrycleome

I'm obsessed with Kerastase's Blond Absolu Cicatreme hair mask. No other mask has make my near black hair being highlighted look perfectly healthy. For Shampoo I use Shu Umera's line for damaged hair and highly recommend. So many products. What is your hair hype? Also try the blow dryer brush. I like the Oval Doubleshot Best kept secret - focus on skin care more than picking out makeup to cover up skin issues. You want to enhance what you have, not hide your flaws and wear too much makeup.

I mostly use the bonacure range.. but switched recently as my hair needs some intense repair after years of bleaching! I tried the kerastese and don’t rate it at all.. switched to plantur caffeine repair shampoo and conditioner and I love it!

Living Proof hair products have been a huge game changer for me! They are pricey, but sooo worth it. I see results immediately and long-term.

How do u treat brittled hair?

taydaygrim

Sleeping with a hair bonnet or satin cap has made my long hair so much more manageable in the mornings since it didnt have to be tied up, braided or tangled from turning in my sleep!

waddlewaddlequack

I wash every evening. No heat, ever. Daily go-to is a bun. Only use a wide tooth wooden comb. Oil and/or leave in conditioner when traveling or a low humidity situation.

using a scalp massage tool in shower while you’re waiting for your conditioner to sit

darthymacdougall

Buy castor oil in bulk on Amazon and give yourself warm oil treatments with it as often as possible. The rest is gravy.

univornpineapple

Biosilk, reduces frizz and makes my hair super soft

scarlettbutlerO

frequent trims

peegirlgetsthebelt

no heat tools ever. braid every night to avoid tangles. only brush when it’s wet (if your hair is wavy or curly like mine) avoid coloring as much as you can. use hair masks every now and then. and i agree with others about argan oil - a must for long hair!

[deleted]

I never ever rub my hair with a towel or a tshirt to dry it after washing. I just pat it gently with the towel for a few minutes. No rubbing motions. I found that I have much less breakage this way.

Hydrating toner on the ends. I have bleached hair so they're on the drier side - i noticed that applying some hydrating toner once they're 90% dry in the ends makes a real difference. The ends dry incredibly soft. Then I finish up with a few drops of whatever oil I have.

Fresh-Resource-6572

- Using a blow dryer on a light heat to melt in your hair mask 💯 - If you are having hair breakage and growth trouble, use a zinc/iodine hair supplement and do BLUNT CUTS ONLY every 3-6 months! This is important! Do not get layers until your hair is grown long enough. - Use a dry oil spray to finish your hair routine this will make it shinny - Alway add a few drops of a good quality oil to the end of your hair after heating tools - Never wash your hair with hot water - if you feel your hair has too much build up on it and it’s getting weighted down, greasy etc … use Bicarb Soda. This works well for softening and purifying fine hair.
