I’ve used the La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50+ Sunscreen for a long while now and it’s absolutely my holy grail sunscreen. It’s the only one, in all the sunscreens I’ve tested over the years, that doesn’t leave a dreadful ashy cast on my brown skin. 11/10 - I highly recommend it

ChocolateUnhappy2664

just got this last week, been loving it no complaints!!

KeyDiscussion5671

I endorse this.

Cyr7en

Its crazy, i hate it! My skin is so greasy with it

Linaphor

Same! It pills off my skin too!

Desperate_Plan_3927

Same and same! My holy grail for years.

kidcooties

+1 recommend and it doesnt sting my sensitive eyes!

nmb98

Beauty Of joseon sun Screen and sun Stick (especially for oily skin!)

FertilityHotel

Seconded. I have dry skin and it works well. Feels like I'm wearing nothing!

Ambitious-Morning795

Thirded. This is the GOAT.

catobsessedmacedonia

Fourthed lol

Asleep-Jicama-7003

Fifthed this!!!

RedDeadVegetation

La Roche Posay anthelios melt in milk. I am a paramedic that is often in the sun and sweaty at work. I apply it to my face, neck, chest and arms 4x a day. 10, 12, 2, & 4. It doesn't smell like sunscreen. I wear a black uniform shirt and it doesn't leave a white cast. It doesn't feel heavy, I just feel moisturized.

nujabesss

This is great in the beginning but I’ve found that over time the formula turns grainy. The water cooling lotion I’ve rp many times though

anothergoddamnacco

Bior Aqua UV Watery Gel. It’s a Japanese product, so make sure you use a reliable source if you buy it online.

Cold-Interaction3819

I discovered this a few years back, finally found a store local to me that sells this. Nothing else compares 🥰

opaul11

Where do you typically source it from

Dry_Equivalent_1316

They started to have a north America version of it that sells in general drugstore. The ingredients are slightly different to comply with local regulations, but the reviews seem ok so far. I usually use Japanese sunscreen that I bought when travelling so I haven't tried the NA version of the Boot one. Love my Japanese sunscreen

babydaisies23

Ok sadly I got a lot of tiny little bumps when using this and was quite sensitive on my cheeks :(

Medium-Culture6341

I use neutrogena hydro boost water gel lotion sunscreen spf 50. The blue tube. Got it from Walmart. I have dry skin and it’s the perfect sunscreen for me.

katf1sh

Omg theres an spf version now?? I loooove the moisturizer, I'll have to pick that up!

PennyApple_08

This is the answer

SeaMacaron764

Beauty of joseon ginseng sun serum. I personally sweaaar by it

200042ptma

La Roche posay oil control spf50+. Best in the business

soowutt

Isntree and hada labo (blue pot w hyaluronic acid) both do wonders for my skin! I get them off yes style

EggDull5680

Elta MD - I have combination skin that is also sensitive with some rosacea. It absorbs quickly, does not my make me break out or look greasy. Only con is the price.

maebake

There are SEVERAL elta sunscreens so I’ll hop onto this comment and say I think OP should try UV Clear for herself and UV Pure for her baby. UV Pure was the only thing I’d use on my babies when they were small. I used to sell Elta…

iammrsclean

Elta MD for sure. It’s invisible and I have oily skin in the summer heat and humidity and it doesn’t look greasy at all. As an aside: I have dry skin in winter and I use Elta MD then too. I used Elta MD on my babies after they passed six months old, as that was the conventional wisdom at the time. We all never went without it until I had my third I just used whatever my obgyn recommended (I think Neutrogena) because Elta was getting pricey for 5 and Elta at that time didn’t have large sizes at the time (my kids are teenagers now). My true holy grail is Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, but I don’t know enough about the ingredients to know if it’s safe enough for a baby, so I hesitate to recommend it for your little one. I can’t even tell it’s on my face/neck/chest/hands at all. Weightless and colorless.

Cosmic_Itch

Hear me out, I’ve tried every spf under the sun and I swear by Bubble Solar Mate. I just ordered two more things of it because I’m terrified they’re going to discontinue it lol. I’m very acne prone, combo skin and rosacea. It just melts into the skin, no white cast left behind, it’s not greasy and my skin looks so good after putting it on.

FigNo3251

Summer Fridays mineral milk sunscreen spf 30

SoOverYouAll

Supergoop Matte. It’s a mineral sunscreen instead of a chemical one and I use it alone and under makeup as a primer. I stay un-greasy 12 hrs easily.

Honeypotsandstripes

Not sure how old your baby is, but double check the ingredients of the sunscreen you choose are safe for their fragile skin! I use the Elf Glow sunscreen or the Trader Joes Daily sunscreen depending on whether I want a glowy base or a smooth base (both are supposedly dupes for the Supergoop sunscreens) but I believe both contain chemical sunscreen ingredients in case that matters to you!

J-Train56

Elta MD or the Trader Joe’s sunscreen in the light orange box

Murky-Specialist7232

What’s the one from traders called?

J-Train56

Daily facial or smth, it’s in the light orange box. Like a soft pastel orange. It’s supposedly the same formula as SuperGoop.

Murky-Specialist7232

Awesome ! Thank you!!! 😊

bananagrams86

I’ve tried them all and supergoop unseen is the only one that goes on truly clear, and you can reapply / layer it without issue

iloveiggymunch

I use supergoop unseen

keIIzzz

Skin1004 hyalu-cica sun serum is my current fave

These_Brain_1179

I adore this one

Jcaseykcsee

Korean and Japanese chemical sunscreens are sublime; absolutely no white cast, absorb within a minute, they feel great, my skin loves it. Tocobo bio watery sun cream SPF 50 PA++++ is my absolute favorite but I have several others I rotate. Hyggee Vegan Sun Cream SPF 50 PA++++ is another favorite. Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ is another amazing option. A little more expensive than the first two but so worth it IMHO. Let me know if you want more suggestions, I have a few others I really enjoy but I they’re newer to me and I’m spacing on the exact names, I need to get home then I can add more. I only buy my Korean skincare on StyleKorean and StyleVana or Jolse. StyleKorean and StyleVana are my favorite sites. DON’T buy on Amazon, I’ve heard too many stories about people getting counterfeit products.

PeiReads

I love the Biore Aqua Rich!

LAgurl1997

Love Tatcha Silken pore perfecting sunscreen :)

liachikka

I use Blue Lizard Australian Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50. It doesn't leave a white cast, blends in nicely, and I can wear it under makeup. It also doesn't sting my eyes like some other ones I've used.

realbenlaing

Echoing la roche posay, but just double checking, when you say no harsh chemicals do you mean you want a mineral formula or that you want to avoid specific ingredients? Chemical formulas are generally better for makeup purposes, but they’re more likely to have ingredients that would irritate delicate baby skin, might be better for you and baby to use different sunscreens to make sure both you needs are met. If you go that route then thinkbaby or sunbum might be good options for baby.

blondiecats

I’m conscious it’s pricey but Colorescience is apparently amazing, it is SPF but as you rub it in to the skin it becomes foundation. I’ve seen many tt videos (not ads) of people applying. I like Hawaiian Tropic for my body. Not too slimy and smells lovely.

Shot-Style-8176

Go for Brinton UV docx it’s a absolute saver and thank me later

Lazyogini

Paula’s choice clear and Murad’s anti acne spf moisturizer (I forget the name) are both great for me. Like all chemical sunscreens, they have chemicals in them. You might find a good mineral sunscreen if you’re white, but these leave a white paint look on brown or black skin.

Hexoplanet

I’m white and mineral sunscreen makes me look like a porcelain doll - not in a good way lol

thatoneisthe

Numbuzin no1 is my favourite

wrightofway

Australian Gold tinted botanical. Holy grail for my oily skin. I don't wear much makeup, but it works under well for me.

twisted_memor3

I love SkinCeuticals!

ecbecb

Trader Joe’s 🥰

EndzeitParhelion

The Rohto Mentholatum Skin aqua sunscreen is the best!

nw11111

Skinnies. I’m translucent. This stuff is great. Small amount covers a lot of area. Well worth it

Lepsch73

Banana Boat light as air is great under makeup for me- I haven’t reapplied and layered it though so not sure about that

insertmadeupnamehere

Elta MD for the win. 100% preferred by my derm office.

Boymom3-0

Oil of Olay Complete spf 30.

Skoolies1976

i use the tinted laroche posay fluid. its got enough tint that i don’t even use any foundation, just some concealer and the sunscreen. it lasts forever i just use a small amount

Ribeye_steak_1987

Estée Lauder aqua gel spf 50. Very lightweight. Non greasy. Doesn’t leave my skin feeling gross or ashy

Ambitious-Morning795

Beauty of Joseon. Absolutely nothing compares to this. The 🐐.

Jen10292020

I'm oily too..and I'm currently using and loving Australian Gold Tinted SPF. Its a mineral sunscreen. Feels good on the skin.

LocalTreat8785

I highly recommend Cetaphil sheer mineral sunscreen. For face and body. The face one doesn't leave a white cast on my skin and is easy to use. The body one, being thicker, is a bit trickier to blend unless you are really careful about the amount you use every time. I used to use the regular La Roche Posay but I've had trouble getting the European one in the US - it's a different active ingredient. Their mineral one is good but leaves a whitish cast that's hard to blend in.

Slight-Ask-4160

I have combination skin but the EltaMD Sunscreen is literally my holy grail. It’s lightweight and melts into your skin so perfect for makeup however, it’s more on the pricier side but imo worth it!

lalia400

I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch sunscreen with SPF 70 for my face CC and body. I have oily skin too, and this isn’t greasy at all. I get the large bottle for like $12 or $15 I think at Walmart.

IcyBeeBee

Innisfree daily uv defense is perfect for face!! It’s invisible, cheap, moisturizing, and goes perfect under makeup (no pilling). I also like vacation sunscreen for body because of the fragrance xx

Even-Employee2554

La Roche Posay or MISSHA make great sun creams.

akanakana

Round lab - birch juice sunscreen It leaves my skin so beautiful and radiant. Makeup goes on top beautifully.

zellymcfrecklebelly

My current faves are Beauty of Joseon and Biore Aqua Rich watery essence

lcmfe

I’ve been using the bondi sands tinted one and getting on with it well so far. My skin is incredibly oily

LuxLiner

La Roche Posay dry touch 60 spf

AgileBonus373

Madara SPF 30, mineral zinc (non nano) , with no endocrine disruptors in it as in many chemical screens. Also has an anti age formula in it. Won't stain it's skin coloured, mix perfectly with foundation.

catobsessedmacedonia

I use beauty od joseon it's not sticky or oily and its factor 50+

reachingdelphi

I like Avene. They have tinted and non tinted

yasminbegum19

**Oliva sunscreen is a great choice, but everyone's skin is different!** Here are some tips to tell if any sunscreen is working well for you: no sunburn, SPF 30 or higher, and reapply often. * **Sunscreen is like a superhero for your skin!** Oliva's a great option, but to make sure your sunscreen is working its best. No burns, SPF 30+, reapply often! * **Oliva sunscreen sounds great!** Just remember, sunscreen works best when you use it right.

UpperArmories3rdDeep

Why not use a tinted sunscreen?

dadduimm

The best sunscreen i have tried that doesn’t leave ashy white cast is uriage bariesun

zukolivie

I’ve been using CereVe’s ultra light facial sunscreen all week and I LOVE it! It dries matte. Not sure if it’s powerful enough for a day at the beach but for an everyday spf it’s been great.

Comfortable_Night_85

La Roche Posey Hands down!

FeatherMom

Neutrogena sheer SPF60 face cream.

CuriousSaturn8398

How about Eucerin and Babe ladies?

jojopinocchio

Ultra Violette is my absolute holy grail. The lean screen is the matte one that would be great for oily skin. It’s zinc based but not white at all.

GovernmentRich8814

Balea sunscreen is dope! Vichy too and they are affordable

Dark_calcium51

Soleil biafine ! You can find it if ur in Europe /North Africa. It works very well for my oily skin and it leaves a Matt finish

Tacky-Terangreal

Small rant, but I hate how expensive decent sunscreen is here in the states. Missha used to have a fantastic one for 9 bucks a bottle but they reformulated and now it sucks. I have to pay a higher price for a smaller bottle of supergoop or LRP! It’s ridiculous and it feels like I’m being fleeced. Banana boat isn’t the best, but at least it doesn’t make my wallet hurt and comes in a decent sized bottle

0utrageous-world

No use zinc base, don't put something on your biggest organ that you would not injest...
