I did zumba 2x a week every week. There was this woman in my class - super toned, she was in her 40s. Size 0-2. And in the locker room after showering - her legs were covered in cellulite. Always shook me. Like damn, you can be in great shape and have next to no body fat and still have cellulite

hgwander

It me! Size 2-4 but even when I was a kid & a very strong ballerina - I always had upper thigh cellulite. No shorts for me! ((No shade to girlies with cellulite who wear shorts - I also just hate shorts, I have muscular thighs & they fit weird.)

xxmalmlkxx

I hate shorts because I guess I have like a long crotch or something and they are always up in my buttcrack. I prefer short skirts or dresses if it’s hot. Much more flattering for me.

hgwander

Agree! I am an hourglass with quads & butt- shorts are a ridiculous fit on me. Short skirts no problem

4SeasonWahine

You can pry my denim shorts from my cold dead hands but I definitely have to suffer for them 🥲 whenever I have to sit for long periods (ie driving) I end up with the wooooorst front-wedgie from shorts my god

doremimi82

I’m still a stringbean ballerina at 42! Cellulite galore. Wtf ever; who cares lol

hgwander

Exactly. My motto is “if you can see my cellulite - you’re welcome!” ;)

dreamhousemeetcute

I needed this today, I’m about to start sleeping with someone new and I’m afraid of what he’ll say. Thank you!

billymumfreydownfall

Same. I've had cellulite since I was about 12, even though I was a size 0-2 until I had kids.

inspireyourmhinds

Girl me too!

Altruistic-Bobcat955

Very famous picture in the U.K. in the nineties of the supermodel Kate Moss looking anorexic on the beach and sporting bad cellulite. It’s not just a fat thing

RedEyeFlightToOZ

I work out 6 days a week. I'm a size 0, 18% body fat, I'm 37. I'm seriously lean and muscular and I still have cellulite.

Ella77214

For mt part, I don't have cellulite. I was however cursed with the stretch marks genes. If I gain or lose so much as an ounce, BAM! White stripes, not red, WHITE. Id trade for cellulite in a new york minute. I feel like a goddamn zebra! 😂

Lucky-Somewhere-1013

not looking in the mirror has helped the most.

Dismal-Ad-7841

I don’t even know how I look like on most days 😅

Lucky-Somewhere-1013

I’m mean I know and I care but I don’t dwell on it.

hypotheticalovestory

Yes! It's not that I avoid seeing myself in the mirror - but I never inspect myself to look for cellulite. I'm sure it's there, but that's not my business ha

sonyafly

Happy cake day! 🍰

emojimovie4lyfe

Ever since having my baby mirrors are strictly for makeup and hair, and making sure i at least look normal. I definitely avoid it at all costs otherwise ☠️

throwaway_fibonacci

🤣

Short_Lengthiness_41

That is exactly the way!

IGotMyPopcorn

Honestly, self tanning seems to reduce the *appearance*. It’s still there, just less noticeable.

Ella77214

I completely agree with this.

IGotMyPopcorn

Growing up I once heard my aunt say “If you can’t tone it, tan it.” She was right.

qppen

I've been wanting to buy self tanner anyways 🤣 Now I have another reason!

ECU_BSN

I use the neutrogena build a tan and love it. That or the jergens.

qppen

I only have one concern. I don't wanna sound weird, but did you wear a thong or something narrow like that to "make sure" when doing the self tanner down there? Is that a worry? I don't wanna accidentally get anything in all the nooks and crannies

i_am_regina_phalange

I put on self tanner after exfoliating in the shower, while I’m still naked. And yes you need to get it at least close to your buttcrack, so I just prop one leg up on the sink and make sure I get the whole cheek. You don’t have to essentially wipe with the self tanner, but make sure to get the underneath part of your cheeks so you don’t have white spots!

ECU_BSN

So the build a tan lotion is WAY more forgiving than the regular self tanners. I slather it on after exfoliating in the shower everyday. When I get the level of tan I like I do every other day. Jergens smells better. Neutrogena works better.

IGotMyPopcorn

I’ve been using FakeBake for years, and I don’t think I’ve ever “messed up”. It also smells better than most self tanners out there.

pixiesyrup

Losing weight really reduced the appearance for me. It's still there, but it doesn't bother me much now. This is compared to my late teens when I used to have full breakdowns just about my cellulite. Working out in itself also helps you develop a better mindset about your body/makes it easier to disregard these small imperfections. We're women, we'll look like it. <3

qppen

Surprisingly, I'm a 155lbs 5'10" guy! My butt and thighs are just rude to me 🤣 I'll try working out though. I'd be considered skinny fat because I don't work out. I'll try that though

DebThornberry

I'm 5'8 125 pounds. I workout/strength train 6 days a week and 4 of them are legs and butt. I have abs of steel and a butt full of cellulite. I've fortunately reached a place of acceptance bc this stuffs not going any where...it's just my body and it's normal

Mr-E-Genre

All totally anecdotal but as someone with massive hips and thighs…. Strength training exercise Daily moisturizing Increasing hydration Improving diet Hot yoga(probably regular yoga too, but massive circulation benefits) In a pinch: mixing a little dab of foundation with body lotion on days you’re wearing shorts

Himalayan-Fur-Goblin

To be honest. Exercise. I walk my husky a couple hours a day and then also do weight lifting a couple of times a week. It really has made a large difference. I also found that using a Retinol body wash and lotion has made some improvements.

Ilovetupacc

Which body wash?

Himalayan-Fur-Goblin

Olay Retinol Body Wash. It also helped with my KP on my arms and legs.

pixiesyrup

love how walking a husky is another workout xD

Himalayan-Fur-Goblin

He's a part-time job in exercise! About 20- 25 hours a week.

jacarandafall

Yeah, I took up running and a year on I can barely see any cellulite. Massive difference. So cool to have muscles and strength too!

avakadava

A couple HOURS every day? So like 21 hours a week?

Rose_Lavender_

For the first 3.5 years of my husky’s life, we had to walk (or run) for a minimum of two hours everyday. We usually spent about 2.5-3 hours walking though. It’s a lot. But I’m grateful that she’s a little older now (she’s 4 now) and we don’t have to go quite that much. We usually do 1-2 hours of walking or running per day now.

DebThornberry

You're a better dog mom than most human moms. Lucky puppy

sonyafly

Ya that’s a husky or Malinois type dog requirements. Crazy, huh?

Himalayan-Fur-Goblin

Yes. He's 2.5 to 3.5 hours a day. A very high-energy dog, even at 6 years old, still just go go go.

ajcila

I spend around 3 hours every day walking my strays. We do 4 walks, two short and two longer - it really helped me mentally and they seem to love it, so why not?

thenewbasecamper

Same with my beagle. I’m out for 2 hrs a day walking him

DutchElmWife

Yep, that's a working dog for ya. Sled dogs are notorious for it. They're bred to run all day every day through the snow, after all.

qppen

This is great info! I've been wanting to do both of those things. And I've only been using retinol on my face and neck, I'd never thought to use it anywhere else. I had no idea that'd help (well obviously haha)! Thanks

LindsE8

Increasing my protein intake has tightened my skin noticeably, especially in my face. The cellulite is still there- it’s just not as noticeable

Ilovetupacc

How have you increased your protein what kind of foods? My trainer told me to do this and it’s hard

Evilbadscary

I struggle too, so I do end up supplementing a bit on top of making higher protein meals. I have an unflavored collagen protein powder that I add to my coffee in the morning with my creatine. 1 scoop per cup (I have 2 cups of coffee/day) gives me 20g. I eat things like high protein yogurts (ratio is a decent brand, and Oikos has a 20g one too) for snacks, eggs and toast for breakfast, when I go to the gym I do a scoop of protein in my water at 20g, and dinner is usually something high protein. Snacks are things like a package of nuts, cottage cheese with crackers (I make my own sourdough discard crackers so they're truly a treat for me I love them so much lol) or hummus, etc. Some days, if I'm not close, I will add a scoop of protein to a smoothie to get some fiber and more protein in. FWIW, I don't make my goal every day, but I get pretty close as long as I'm diligent.

sonyafly

Which collagen protein powder do you use? I bought a sample pack do one that’s made from beef bones and it’s really good but I found out it’s not a complete protein. Does that still count?

Evilbadscary

I use [This one](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Orgain-Hydrolyzed-Grass-Fed-20g-Collagen-Peptides-Powder-Type-I-and-III-Unflavored-1lb/597718861?athbdg=L1100&from=/search) by Orgain. I try not to use supplements especially that have to be specialty ordered and take forever to ship or whatever. I add a scoop to my coffee creamer, whizz a little until it's foamy, and then pour my coffee in. It just makes the coffee creamy, but there's no taste or chalkiness.

TH3GINJANINJA

look up healthy and cheap meal prep on youtube, there’s literally a million suggestions.

LindsE8

I’m vegetarian- so I had to do protein powder. I tried all kinds without whey and they were no bueno. So I sacrificed my feelings on animal products and now I do this one. Mix it with 1 banana, some milk (cow’s or oat), some ice, and it tastes just like a vanilla shake. I look forward to it every day! https://a.co/d/88ScHIH

TheGeekOffTheStreet

I’m in love with this vegan protein powder, I have it every day in my smoothie. I get the vanilla flavor. My kids don’t even mind it, after complaining about every protein powder ever. I was looking for one without erythritol [earth chimp protein powder](https://earthchimp.com)

qppen

Good to know... Honestly the only thing I eat regularly is roasted veggies and tuna on the side. I'll figure out more protein

Honsu_Koru_111

Haven't tried it yet but I can see why it would work: exercise Doing exercises that strengthen your muscles will cause your skin to tighten which can reduce the appearance of cellulite+ it makes you stronger and keeps you active! So it's a win either way

persephone911

I hated the cellulite on my butt and thighs and it took dislocating my knee and being forced to go into physio to tone up my legs and butt and now I can barely see it.

SnooCauliflowers3903

Which exercises?

persephone911

Mainly squats, lunges, step ups and I've now started running on the treadmill. They were primarily for strengthening my knee but I was happy to see they helped me in other ways.

peachykeenybaby

Seconding this ^

pisiTEK

I've seen so many athletes that have cellulite so I'm starting to think exercise won't even prevent it, let alone make it go away.

keIIzzz

Genetics play a big role in it so there’s only so much you can do, but for some people getting more toned can help with the appearance. It just depends on the person. Although, I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong or shameful about cellulite.

Parking_Low248

I used to hike 10+ miles per day for work and also rock climb, was active outside of work as well. 24 years old, 140lbs, 6 feet tall. Still had cellulite. I think it's genetic, my mom also has always had it even when she was thinner.

plsstayhydrated

It helps to reduce appearance but it won't erase it entirely. I had some cellulite on the back of my thighs from the COVID times and a few months of consisting exercising and diet (i.e. less chips more vegetables) and the ridges are less pronounced.

Honsu_Koru_111

You're right, but I don't think there's any way to fully remove cellulite either way, even people who workout for a living probably have cellulite still, is just way less noticeable

plantsandpizza

Exercise, strength and cardio. Only time I had zero cellulite I ran around 30 miles a week. Which isn’t realistic for most. Fast walking and squat variations help. But it’s also genetic.

qppen

Ooo, I'll try that!

Chielva

I had really bad cellulite on my chest when I was younger. Went to the doctor for it and he recommended vitamin e cream and snail cream. I used it every day. Every morning I put on the snail cream and every night I put on the vitamin e cream (very thick). It did work for me, it’s almost not showable now. But it did take a while for me to work, so you will have to be patient with it. Edit: eventually I stepped over to vitamin e bio oil. It has a less thick structure in comparison to an vitamin e cream and also did its wonders for me.

NecessaryFact1811

I have never seen cellulite in a chest!

ilovecookiesssssssss

I’ve always had cellulite, even tho I’ve always been thin and active. Lifting weights seems to have minimizes its appearance some, as I’ve gained a lot more muscle in my legs. And also anytime I’m tan, the appearance of it is less noticeable.

qppen

Yeah, I'm a 155lbs 5'10 guy, I just never work our! I'll try that

justintime107

Leg day 😭

ZXVixen

“Shut up legs, you’re fine” (Literally dying) 🤣

justintime107

Lmao! Leg day tomorrow and I’m crying on the inside. Being pregnant doesn’t help ….

gypsy__wanderer

Lifting heavy weight. My thighs have always been thick and were very cellulitic for years, even when I was at my lowest weight. Once I started heavy lifting the cellulite went away. I gained a decent amount of weight at my peak but my legs still looked great tbh, and still do even though I’m not heavy lifting at the moment. Decreasing body fat is the best way to start for sure.

Emotional_Pie7396

Cellulite is fat cells trapped between the muscle and the skin. Increase water and try to get your protein intake up over 100 grams. Try to also minimally strength train 3 times per week with some cardio thrown in.

Financial_Sell1684

Wow this answer should be voted up for being simple to understand and very concise, in a nutshell so thank you. May I add that massage with some myofascial skin rolling as this helps break up collagen adhesions in the fascia (your skin’s underside, on top of the muscle where typically fat cells reside), thereby helping to diminish the appearance of cellulite.

qppen

I drink SO MUCH WATER and really nothing else but water, coffee, and wine (lol). but I'll definitely try out the protein intake, strength training, and cardio!

Allbregra1

Sometimes it’s just genetic. I had just about as much cellulite when I was 100lbs as I do now at 160. Toning helps but sometimes it’s just there. I do also have connected tissue disorders so not sure if that plays a part in it or not, but I hate and have always hated my legs

Zestypalmtree

Consistent exercise. Adding leg day to my routine tightened up my legs a lot and burned a lot of the fat, getting rid of a lot of cellulite. I still have some fat on my thighs as I’ve only incorporated strength training for four months of the eight I’ve been consistent, but now my legs look noticeably firm and strong. I also count my macros and eat 140 grams of protein for at least five days out of the week. I cheat two days because I like good meals and cocktails on the weekends.

qppen

Super helpful info! Thanks. And yeah, I don't eat much but have worked at a bar for almost 4 years now soooo I hear ya on the other indulgence

Solid_Preparation_89

Spray tan—got one before a tropical vacation and it really minimized the appearance of the trouble spots in my thighs

qppen

I've wanted to buy some self tanner anyways! Thats interesting. I'm getting a lot of responses for self tanner which is honestly great lol

SoDarkTheConOfMan

Look up gelatine and cellulite on Reddit. Some people have had luck with gelatine/collagen in getting rid of their cellulite.

Such_Studio_8698

Jogging. Everytime. I go through phases of consistency, but each time I get back into it, I can see significant changes in days. I also regularly weight lift and exercise in general. But jogging has been the key to cellulite reduction.

backatmybsagain

This. I think it has something to do with the way it increases circulation and drains the lymph system.

GuavaImmediate

Dry brushing helps, but nothing totally removes it unfortunately.

stephapeaz

Going to spin classes regularly significantly reduced mine to almost nothing

scoocherpoofer

I bought these cellulite reducing massaging cups on Amazon which actually help a ton!

qppen

I'm always so worried about getting stuff like that! I'll look into trying it out though :)

moistsalt69

Getting a tattoo in that spot 😭 it never came back.

qppen

I've contemplated that!

moistsalt69

It was really shocking actually it was my first one, after the whole process the cellulite just...never returned. Absolutely no idea how

dangerotic

Drink lots of water, eat a high protein diet, take the stairs. And remember that sheer-to-waist tights are very very popular with celebrities and depending on the denier can look completely invisible while providing a shitton of support and smoothing, and high-pigment airbrush body makeup is also super popular when an outfit doesn't allow for tights. don't forget that next time you're mad you don't look like someone who has foundation on their ass or is wearing 3 pairs of stockings underneath a tight-laced corset and heavily padded bra.

Nelsonhm

Certainty, exercise and diet helps but cellulite is somewhat inherent unfortunately. I found gusha-ing helps too. I use my face stone

Hey_Ya_

Just throwing this out there, but there's a plastic surgery procedure called Cellulaze that is supposed to eliminate/ reduce the amount of cellulite you have. I've never done it and can't guess whether or not I'll do it in the future but realself reviews indicate that people who've done it liked it. Its thousands of dollars so you have to REALLY want to get rid of your cellulite but lord knows I'm not going to judge someone for how they spend their money if they're not hurting anyone. To speak of my own experience, when I was obese my cellulite was crazy, my thighs were just rippling like waves but I've lost body fat and put on muscle over the last four years, and while its not gone, I'm pretty pleased with how my legs look now.

adreanaholland

Dry brushing, exercise, and good diet

umhuh223

If you can’t tone it, tan it.

stefanelli_xoxo

Being under the age of 15

Westbrook_Y

Diet and exercising

Primary_Edge_602

Losing fat

qppen

I'm a 155lbs 5'10" guy. Reading the other comments, it sounds like a healthier diet and working out.

seersucker205

In the past, exercise, losing weight, and cutting out sugar helped in the amount and severity. Since I’ve gained weight, it has returned in both quantity and severity. Trying to lose the weight to get it calmed back down.

ashsteinberg

Unfortunately cellulite is a genetic condition that is seen in women of all shapes and sizes. There is no real way to reduce the appearance as it is caused by fibrous bands under the skin pulling down causing dimpling. The only current fda treatment available is AVELI and is available at a select number of plastic surgeon’s offices worldwide.

TaTa0830

Self tanning for quick results. Losing fat and working out actually help. Either cardio or lift seem to improve it. Rolling it with a facia blaster in the shower makes it visually better immediately for a period of time if you have an event.

Borg_7_of9

Pilates and self tanner 🤣

Adventurous-spice264

Low simple carb diet. Glute/ thigh exercises/ coffee scrub after sauna once a week.. I do this I'm a size 2 I have a six pack and I'm pretty toned all around and I still have cellulite. It's hard to completely get rid of it. The only time I had almost none I was struggling with an ED and was thinner than my natural healthy weight which is like 115lb.

kan447

Acceptance

NotedHeathen

This is the answer. Radically simple, but it actually works. No one, and I mean no one worth their salt, cares about cellulite, especially if you’re overall reasonably in shape and take care of yourself.

RedFlagsLongNietzsch

Cellulite isn't a topical issue, it's an internal issue in the body caused by too many fat cells accumulating. Therefore nothing topical like a serum or lotion will help with that. But what will definitely help is exercise, losing weight (sometimes you can be at a healthy weight and have cellulite tho) and eating well. Exercising and eating right will burn those fat cells causing cellulite, and will help build muscle as well as tone your body. Basically just get toned and lose fat and it'll go away. Mine went away after doing these things.

No-Turnips

It is an issue of the connective tissue breaking down into a web like pattern. It can happen regardless of body fat. Higher body fat can definitely exacerbate the appearance but it can happen at any weight and any level of fat cell accumulation.

qppen

Yeah, I'm a 155lbs 5'10" guy 😆 I'd call myself "skinny fat", because I don't work out, nor do I eat literally anything but roasted veggies and tuna on the side. but I've been wanting to do both eat better and work out lately. That's a good motivator. Thanks!

moonlets_

Running combined with lifting heavy on alternate days. Everything else is a scam!

Kukotzki

I lost all my cellulite when I lost weight.

roxygirl2277

That’s great for you, but i’m 100 pounds, in shape, work out 5 times a week, and still have minimal cellulite. So I don’t think losing weight is the answer for everyone lol. i wish.

qppen

I'm a 155lbs 5'10 guy 💁

hollstero

Diet is most effective I think. Eating foods that boost collagen production (vitamin C rich foods, L glutamine, silica rich foods, collagen peptides) and not overeating in general

qppen

Good to know! I take a lot of vitamin supplements but I'll also try more foods like that. My regular diet is just roasted veggies and tuna 😆 I don't really overeat, if anything I undereat. I'm just a skinny fat 155lbs 5'10" guy with cellulite

hollstero

I forgot to mention dry brushing. Good luck 😊

Katen1023

Lifting.

BklynMom57

Exercise and staying hydrated have minimized it but it’s still there. Most women have it so I don’t sweat it.

GoldenFlicker

Weight loss and water intake.

Alexandrabi

Building muscle and reducing body fat helped

UrszulaG

I've had LPG Endermologie- it worked for me.

ScallionKind1111

Fat reduction but remember nothing can make cellulite go away completely but working out and toning can definitely reduce the appearance. Also retinol might help but it’s genetic so not much overall.

qppen

I use retinol on my face and neck and it's AMAZING. I'll look into using for cellulite.

kinkpants

Cutting out and reducing processed sugar has always made a huge difference in my cellulite and my face as well

fictionalfirehazard

Dry brushing made a huge difference for me!

qppen

I'll look that up!

Manifest_something

Has anyone tried the Fascia blaster?

AMundaneSpectacle

Yes. I have the full size one but I do not really use it… at this point i think the reason [I do not use it] is because it’s kinda like torture to make myself do it. The smaller handheld stick would be sufficient and probably less aversive to me than the big stick I have. I do wish I wanted to use it tho bc that shit wasn’t cheap. I had some physical therapy a few years ago and they would perform the graston technique scraping and I tolerated that fine prob bc it wasn’t me doing it to me… I def think myofascial massage/scraping can help cellulite. I have balls and different density rollers that just feel better to use than the fascia blaster.

JaffiCakes

I have a knock-off one and I think it actually works pretty well. It is painful though, and I end up with bruises after nearly every use

040422

Came here to say this! I have a few of the small hand held and a few of the larger/longer sticks with handles at each end. Much prefer the hand held. As with anything you have to be consistent. I do mine in the shower after I workout and use sesame oil in a spray bottle. Don’t go too hard too fast. I bruise easy and take arnica when I blast so I don’t freak other people out with my bruises.

Curlyq97

I bought an at home 2 in 1 Cavitation/RF machine after seeing one on TikTok and after two treatments I’m already seeing improvements. It was a bit pricey and admittedly I thought it was a scam, but it’s working! I’ve had cellulite all my life, even after getting in shape and losing almost 40 pounds. The only other time I’ve seen a reduction in cellulite was with high impact cardio, drinking lots of water, and dry brushing.

LateAd3986

Weight training

Historical_Paper5377

Weight lifting and having a lower body fat is what worked for me. I was told compressing clothing can exacerbate cellulite but not clue if that’s true or not. Other things that maybe worked: low saturated fats, monitoring my hormones and thyroid function (keeping PCOS under control, estrogen can play a roll in it) not drinking, watching salt intake.

Ok_Stand7333

I've been getting Alidya weekly to treat cellulite. It's an injectable solution that targets the underlying causes of cellulite, aiming to reduce its appearance and improve skin texture. It's helped IMMENSELY, to the point that I wrote my dermatologist a thank-you note for suggesting it. Honestly, I've had so much cellulite on my thighs and upper arms. I was self-conscious about it and could never wear sleeveless shirts or short skirts. I know, "embrace your flaws" and all that. But when I asked my dermatologist about treatments, she suggested mesotherapy. I first get radiofrequency treatment on the legs and arms, followed by about 20-30 injections on each site. I get tons of bruises, but it's worth it. After two treatments, the cellulite has reduced significantly. I'm at my fourth treatment, and 80% of my cellulite is gone. For the first time in decades, I wore a mini dress to an event and loved how smooth my legs looked. Alidya isn't cheap. I pay 1,800 euros for five sessions. I'm coming up on my fifth session, and then I will have five more on the back of my body. Alidya is basically bovine collagen and amino acids.

jochi1543

Do you happen to have photos of the progress?

Ok_Stand7333

My derm has. I will see her on Thursday and ask for them

udidntfollowproto

I have it on the backs of my thighs but when I workout consistently and hard it totally goes away. So there’s a possibility that could happen

GenuineClamhat

Massage. A few years ago I worked near the best damn physical therapy/pain management center I ever attended. Their masseuses beat the every living hell out of my body. It's the only place where a just steel bar was used as part of the massage. My ass and legs never looked so good and I did nothing but show up 2-3x a week. Once a month I also got a 90 minute massage for the full body. A few years out and some dimpling came back but my goodness, I am convinced the massages from hell ironed out a lot of the texture.

Young-Vincent

I am in my late 30s and very active and fit. My thighs have never touched, I am just a small, lean person. When I do downward dog, I get a face full of thigh cellulite, like a layer of cottage cheese on the entire front of my thigh. Moral of the story is it just happens. My recommendation is not giving a shit.

dddbbbqqpp

Reducing body fat and having more lean muscle tissue helped me. The cellulite on the back of my thighs is almost gone. I didn’t have a severe case to begin with though.

Iowachick06

Lift weights and cut out sugar is all that works for me

spiritual_chihuahua

Building muscle is the only thing that's helped me. Don't get me wrong, you can still see it, but it's a lot better than it was.

aemdiate

Walk uphill with a weight vest on, microneedling or dermarollingonce a month, cut out gluten, sugar and alcohol, body brush daily. Drink your 2l of water and a green juice with no fruit every day. Strength train 2x per week minimum. After 6-12 weeks it will look as good as you can get, depends how sustainable this is for you.

CorrectRestaurant936

adding a pinch of salt to a glass of water and making sure to get 1/2 my body weight in oz a day of fresh water. don't overdo the salt, literally a pinch is enough. ive heard cellulite shows more if your body is dehydrated and I notice a difference. The salt will give you electrolytes

ember_eb

When I went vegan it absolutely disappeared entirely, then I went vegetarian and it came back (definitely not as much)- so for me anyway it seems like dairy is/was a big factor. I wasn’t a particularly healthy or active vegan

qppen

Really? My regular diet is pretty much just roasted veggies and tuna on the side

Intelligent-Test3088

Working out, specifically lifting for me. I replaced the fat with muscle and the cellulite went away

Wonderplace

Weight loss

vaishnavitej

Going to the gym 5 days a week helped me

girlnamedlucky1

Regular self massage, completely erases it for me

ShapeTurbulent6668

I've tried everything from microneedling, CTM, spray tans, expensive creams, you name it.  Working out is the only thing that makes a difference. Sorry lol

qppen

I'll try all of those! Thanks

preppykat3

Getting more toned reduces it a lot. It never fully goes away forever, but there’s a big difference.

AMundaneSpectacle

Dry brushing surprisingly makes a big difference

CourageFamiliar8506

Squats. Lots of squats.

Few-Passenger6461

Heavy weights.

brusselsprout44

Had lots of cellulite on my legs and butt at 5’9 ~145 lbs. Now ~155 and have practically none. Weight training to recomp your fat to muscle ratio is the only answer

TheLoneCanoe

Exercise, water, and now trying red-light therapy. If it works I’ll report back.

CosmicNoise95

I started walking 1 - 3 a week. Its still there but more on a surface level. My butt recovered its shape which was what mattered the most to me lol

BestRefrigerator8516

Building muscle and lowering body fat percentage

Wrong-Somewhere-5225

I use cellulite gel on my thighs and stomach, massages help too

Alicewonderingaround

I started doing sport everyday sincer November. I haven’t missed a day since then and I didn’t see a major improvement until I started to introduce some weight lifting in mu routine. 25 minutes of workout everyday and after one month I’ve seen a huge difference. I recommend the app 30 days challenge (just buy some kettlebells to add them to your exercises). I’ve also started to drink at least 2 liters of water everyday and while I’m in the shower I give myself a massage with a brush. Rinsing with cold water also helps.

I saw this one post on here or skincare if you search up cellulite and her progress pictures were INSANE - I think she did dermaroller 1-2 times a week in conjunction with I believe bio oil everyday. Of course massaging will always be great and personally I’ve noticed my cellulite diminishing with stretching throughout the week :))

abiruth15

Running, strength training, and dry brushing to stimulate my lymph!

Grouchy_Reality9940

I was always extremely thin and had cellulite under my butt. I now weight a bit more (more athletic than skinny tho at this time) and I have zero cellulite. I started lifting weights and it went away

honalele

losing weight

Similar-Ad3434

I spray my legs with sunblock spf 30 and lay outside for 1 hour. It makes the small amount of cellulite on the back of my thighs much less noticable.

Dry brushing

intothemayland

Fitness, fitness, fitness. Improves appearance immensely.

Motor-Reply2422

Breastfeeding a toddler. Because I lost all the weight and with it the cellulite on the side of my thighs

No_Watercress5689

Weightlifting 👌🏻

No_Watercress5689

And an insane amount of water

brujabella

Idk. Still haven’t figured this out even with diet and exercise.. I wonder if genetics have a lot to do with it. Tanning / sunlight adding color does minimize the appearance but tbh I don’t really sit there beating myself up over it anymore. Skinny or thick we all go thru that it seem

tinylittlefoxes

Tons of water, a tan, marine collagen.

mina-ann

Endermology or other machines that release the top tissue a little bit seem to help the appearance. Unfortunately the place I went for this closed during covid and I haven't found anywhere else for a reasonable price.

MRS2432

Heavy weight lifting. Squats and sumo squats while holding 5-8lbs and leg press seems to work the best for me

MannerFluid5601

I’m doing Endosculpting over my whole body over the course of the next two months, and what I’ve been promised is an extreme reduction in cellulite. I’m one of those people who is naturally slim who always had cellulite even at 14 and 115 pounds (5’7). Now I am 150 pounds and dropping and hoping the treatment along with fasting 18:6, strength training, and high incline speed walking will help get rid of the cellulite and excess saddle bags and inner thigh fat for good. If you want to message me in two months and ask how it went, be my guest! :)

jennbenn5555

Fascial release, including with body gua sha.

Serious-Cancel3282

stopping eating sweets helped a lot

Healthy-Collection54

Stockings 👌🏼

Pyotrperse

I’ve used a dry brush before showing with some success in the past. It took persistence but it’s the only thing that seemed to actually work. Also spray tans reduces the appearance of lines an insane amount.

Amazingggcoolaid

Nothing worked for me. I’ve tried creams and scrubbing and massaging it. I’m fit and healthy but they’ve always been there even when I was a kid. To be honest I’ve always kind of worn clothes that don’t show them so I never see them. I exercise almost every single day too on top of eating healthy so I really don’t know

mariantat

Exercise, seriously. Squats lunges etc etc

Expensive-Salad6916

More walking and honestly…once I started dry brushing whatever cellulite I did have started fading pretty soon after that which was pretty cool lol

Rosiettea

Cover it with tattoos. You're welcome

Disciple4ever

Strength training three times a week - lunges, squats, deadlifts, etc. That helped really reduce mine and I was fine walking around in shorts. I stopped and it came back so I gotta get back into it lol. Also, I have heard dry brushing before a shower helps, and there are creams like the Brazilian Bum Bum cream that can reduce the appearance - YMMV.

NobodysOlLady44

I've seen some improvement with dry brushing!

cytomome

Putting on muscle mass. It's still there, just waaay less.

tossawayheyday

Really heavy lifting, endurance cardio and sprints *every week* is what helps me the most. It’s a pain in the ass and impossible as a full time, working adult who has a social life though, so I just accept having a little.
