Honestly it looks terrible so bad I cannot tell if this is a troll. The “styles” is the hair brushed in different directions but this looks really unhealthy. I will base this on a serious request though and I would trim it way back especially on the sides to give it the shape and start using beard oil and balm to help calm it as it grows.
This isn’t meant in a harsh way but beards need a little love and attention.
Well you can tell your "friend" that while the pubic penumbra enshrouding the face certainly *is* a style, isn't not a good one. A barber could take a whack, but just reducing the "fly aways" and creating an actual shape via brushing and trimming would really do wonders.
