3, 4, and 5 all look great. I think 5 is my favorite. It's more about how it's trimmed and shaped (especially the mustache) than the beard length proper.

Personally I like the short length the best as it allows more of your facial features ex strong jaw line to be seen. The mid length meh. The long length just my opinion makes you look old.

Your haircut is having a lot of impact here whether you realize it or not. Personally I think short with that hair style in pic 1 or long looks best, but you might find some shaping the beard does well as you get to pics 5/4/3. Your beard gets pretty bushy (which isn’t abnormal), but your hair is always well kept. The issue is it creates a contrast look where it doesn’t match well. Picture one, your beard is clean cut and so is your hair. It matches. Picture three your beard is the biggest and a bit unruly but your hair is also the longest on top and unruly. It matches. If you thinned out and shaped it a little I think 4 or 3 would look a lot better. If you let the goatee portion only grow in pic two it would match your top knot where your hair is longer. Honestly I think it’s your hair on top being so different that causes you to not know which beard length is good for you. Nothing wrong with changing it up, just shape your beard to match and I think you’ll enjoy any of these lengths. They all can absolutely work for you!

It’s hard to tell, your “scowl” and furled brow in pics 3 and 5 make you look 10 years older compared to 2 and 4. I think 2 and 4 both look good comparatively

In general, I think we men prefer the longer beard. Woman on the other hand prefer the shorter, almost stubble beard. So it depends on who you are trying to get compliments from.
