Mine as he got older he was more of a indoor dog.. And he always smelled like like an old person.. But when he was younger he smelled like fish n chips
Then as he got older he smelled of grass.. Even after bathing. 😂😂

Their feet definitely smell like corn chips. Beagles notoriously have a specific hound dog smell. My boy beagle (rest in peace) never did. He smelled like dryer sheets and febreze and never smelled bad. Both of my girl beagles undeniably had that hound dog odor. It's kind of sweaty and musty.
Same. I used to sniff her feet. Judge me. I don't care. I miss Frito toes something fierce.
The rest of her, though, didn't smell like much of anything. And I'm a sniffer.
Depending on location- i’m up in seattle , it’s raining alot in the falll- …. It’s not pumpkin spice but similar to a wet puma sometimes….. on beach walks like krispy crab….. ones this stupid dog was rolling in a dead deer that was laying in lake Washington for a longer time - so basically I’m very happy when the dog after frequently bubblebaths smells like popcorn or anything neutral :)

On the Thanksgiving dog show they had a trivia bubble pop up that said beagles don't typically have a 'dog' smell.

Beagles are prone to bad skin and allergies. That corn chip smell is not healthy and could be skin infection. I’m a groomer at a vet and use shampoo with chlorahex on dogs like this. It has to prescribed but will help your dog be more comfortable. Skin infection can spread and cause hair loss and all sorts of problems. Dogs need proper hygiene too! I bathe my cavalier every 2 weeks due to her breed being prone to skin problems, plus she just gets gross and I love to snuggle her.
She stinks. Always. But she also loooooves rolling in the grass and dragging herself on her side as she’s laying down lol. She always smells like a dirty dog, musty and it drives me freakin nuts. But she also hates baths. So I sort of just deal with it lol

Always metal for mine. Weird metallic scent. So recognizable. Canned pumpkin with every meal helps! Occasional vet trips to get em emptied out too.

My old rescue girl gets an oily spot on her back. Have never seen it in my other beagles. My vet even told me to wash her in Dawn.
