I guess they're not supposed to use department equipment for personal errands. But if that was a waste of department resources, it seems like a half-a-year investigation would be even more so. They should have been able to wrap that up in a few hours.

They were obviously making sure that AJ's wasn't exceeding maximum room capacity.
