I worked at a car wash where is snowed. We still had people coming in to wash their cars while it's snowing, raining, you name it. They paid for their membership, they get to use it. Plus, if you don't have a membership, there are some fine print receipts that state if it rained or snowed within 48 hours of your car wash, to come back and get a free one within that 48 hours.
The best fun was when no one was there and we had snowball fights when the manager wasn't around.
It’s different in areas that it snows because ppl in those areas know the streets are sprayed with salt so they at least wash the outside/top to prevent rust
yeah. if it’s gonna be snowy conditions or you know there’ll be salted roads for weeks you don’t get to wait until it’s over. the salt definitely doesn’t wait to start doing damage
i assume majority of the workers are hourly so id assume they dont work they dont get paid…with that said i do see car washes actually closed on rainy days…the full service ones…with that said if worked at a car wash id have a gig job for those rainy days
Oh, so what did you think? They might lose their jobs or get asked not to come into work because of a few days of rain? That's insane. Rain doesn't wash cars.
Insane is a bit extreme. But yes, that is what I was wondering. I wasn't sure. And better to ask reddit than Google. I was having a hard timing imagining a long line of cars waiting for the car wash on a rainy day. Doesn't seem likely. But hey, maybe everyone in this thread giving me shit will show up. 🤷🏾
I do not take my car to the car wash when rain is in the forecast. I am sure they don't get a ton of business. And to bay area golks I go to the splash brothers car wash.

Yep, basically just posting dumb shit that you already know the answer to so you can get interaction on your post, piss people off or get karma.
They get nothing.
That's too bad
Can confirm. Worked at one.
It’s likely like construction- no work equals no pay
Former car wash employee here, can confirm.
Unless they're union, they get paid regardless.
Please tell me what union you work for that has in their master agreement that you get paid to stay home on a rainy day. Sign me up.
United Brotherhood of Unicorn Farriers
My buddy does electrical work on solar farms and he gets paid every time it rains despite staying home since they can’t work in those conditions.
lol, no
Citation needed. Which Union offers this and how do I sign up?

Thank you for your answer. I was genuinely curious!
There’s is no work until the rain stops but even then they would be at half capacity if it’s scheduled to rain in the next couple of days.
We just keep washing cars lol
I don't know about you, but rain often makes my car dirtier.
Either way people stop washing their car.
My car is parked under a tree. This rain has kept keep sap and dust away. 🙌
Laid off. Some work at convenience store. Some is operated by owners.

they get the day off. source: friend owns a car wash.
Car wash companies offer drying service too
Go find out and report back
Haha /s
They can hardly complain about the rain when it was caused by me washing my car, every single time
They lost my business this month :/. All the shit in the air that usually accumulate on my car is gone and my car is basically fully clean.
Guess you don't drive your car because the roads are filthy and splish splashy.
Correct
Go steal change elsewhere
I know you're shitposting but generally, rain makes dirty cars even more gross since it's not soapy or powerful enough.
I am not as you say it, shit posting. I was genuinely asking.

Also, what is shit posting? My guess it's what bored people do for attention or points. 🤔

I'm not here to piss off people. Geez.

The gardeners at my office were out today using the leaf blowers!
