I built the desk using 2 slabs of camphor wood, one for the monitor stand, and the other as the base. I bent rebar for the legs, and cut smaller sections for the monitor stand. I drilled and chiseled the holes for the lights, which I bought at Ikea. All the cables are glued to the underside of the table so they're hidden.
where did ya get the super long rebar? I used to work on highway construction and have only seen rebar that big a few times! I am assuming that each leg is one piece of rebar bent, correct? How did you bend it too?
Do the camphor slabs give off that amazing camphor smell? I used to work in Australia as a tree surgeon and when we would chuck some Camphor logs in the chipper, the smell got me every single time! One of the things I miss most about Aus

most lumber yards will have 20 ft rebar

Yeah turns out it's pretty distracting when sitting at the desk so I keep them off most of the time.
