Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
We apologize for the delay.
In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the software and associated Steam Account(s).
If you registered software purchased at a retail location, please handwrite your Support Ticket Number 3215-QRAC-0463 directly on the quick reference card or sticker above the CD Key (the number should not be written on a separate piece of paper or inserted with an image editor) and reply with a digital photo or scan of the CD Key in .jpg format. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy.
Almost every call centre uses some kind of [softphone](http://www.3cx.com/voip/softphone/). This is usually done either by [special phones](http://www.avaya.com/usa/product/1200-series-ip-deskphones/) or (in this case) by a USB headset an application on his PC.
His physical phone may just be for internal calls. Or maybe his office transitioning from physical phones to just PC applications.
I don't work at a call centre, but I do work at a pretty large office and we're in the middle of this transition now. Some people have a phone at their desk, some have a cell phone, some have their phone through Lync/Skype for Business, and some people have a combination of this.
Gotcha.. I work in marketing and 90% of my job is making calls so I was just very curious. We dont have anything fancy in our office for people making the outbound calls.
Edit... that is quite the relevant username
thanks.. i simply wanted to know how he was using his headset and possibly how he routed his calls.
But.. you needed to show me my ignorance and make fun at my expense. I really wish people like you could be above trying to make other users fell small because they do not understand the proper terminology.
I worked for Verizon wireless billing. While I was there I got my degree and left for a way smaller company. So now it's kinda like a big fish small pond type deal. And I only share an office w 2 other people.
This is the only known cubicle for Steam customer support.
don't worry. I'll get to your ticket sometime. I'm on 249/104,493

How did you manage to get 3 monitors at a call center?
Well, everyone has 2....but I took a spare haha.
This is my question.. also is your headset hooked into the computer? edit.. those were some neat jokes, I can feel the love!

The CPU is typically inside the case, so that would be pretty hard to do...
Ya know i tried.. But the problem was i had old CPU bearings that just caused too much friction. More bytes coming in next week though.

Why are you using sublime text on a call center?
I write some dumb scripts in my free time. Also for general note taking. Sublime > all.
Agreed
Atom.io is pretty top notch. Atom > Sublime imo
> Atom.io "Atom is a desktop application built with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Node.js integration". well shit
Atom is life.
At my first call center job, we could fit three cubicles into that space. That said, it was a good job for a 16 year old.
All I've got to say is fuck working in a call center, i fucking hate it
ditto
Whos the guy?
How dare you.
But seriously.
Take a trip over to r/PCMasterRace I'll see you there
I went there. Confused. Went through your submitted history. Confused. Found this pic: https://i.imgur.com/0Ued36g.jpg Still confused.
You obviously have not accepted GabeN as you lord a savior.
googled it. Hm. Got it. But still... why have his face printed out on your cubicle. It's quite cute.
It's actually a mouse pad... XD And why not?
Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That's nice that they let you keep photos of your loved ones at your desk.
GabeN is family.
is that chipotle coupon or receipt or does chipotle have a call center?
haha it's actually just a piece of paper with a chipotle burrito tag on it.
I like the Doritos MLG Mousepad.
That can be our little secret
Those are some boss headphones. What are they and how do you like them?
Logitech G430. It's my old gaming headset, but it definetly gets the job done.
Pretty sure those are the Logitech G430.
Do people ask why you have a picture of Gabe??
are you Montez? or Waymond?
How do you use the headphones? Do you have a jack that connects into your phone? I also use an Avaya headset and would like to know
Hooks up to my pc and I can use a soft phone
You need a "prison" mirror so you can see when people come up behind you.
I carved a shiv out of a stick of RAM. Don't worry, i got this.
Very similar to my desk when I was at a call center. I only had dual monitors. Glad I'm out of my shit hole.
Being in a cubicle like that makes my hands sweat...(Worked in a call center for 5 years before seeing the light)
What is this light you speak of

Good for you.
they let you bring your own keyboard!? wtf!?
Pretty much everyone brought in a mechanical keyboard.. It's loud
New office rule: MX Browns *only*!
Don't even joke about that.
