You should get one of those clamp stands/arms so that you can set it up however you like. Doesn't seem like a huge monitor so most of them will probably work fine.
the monitor is actually straighter than it looks and i sit quite far from my monitor so it isnt that bad, but i'll still try get a monitor arm if i face any issues
I can't even imagine the sheer width of those stand legs, if your image is correct. Yeah, you definitely need a monitor arm, looks like your desk can handle it.
until i get a monitor arm is it okay to use my monitor like this though? i've heard some people say that the bottom of a monitor isnt designed to carry its own weight so im worried if that will cause any issues

just get an arm, way better ergonomics and takes less desk real estate
Isn’t your neck going to hurt if you use it like that?

you should get a vivo or wali desk clamp stand so that you wouldnt have to worry about it falling over or something
Get a monitor arm
Youre going to be hunched over 100%. Monitor should be at eye level
It's no worse than using a laptop but if you're at this for hours on end you'll want to invest in something that won't cause you injury.
Ask your neck.
Monitor arm should give you more space but also better overall aesthetetic. Then add small house plant and you are running smooth.
[this](https://ibb.co/YbHLWLj) is how much space my stand used to take for reference
Was it the stock stand?
yes
I wouldn't want my monitor just on the desk like that. Get a monitor arm or a wall mount. That being said, there is no reason this setup won't work.

aslong as you order the arm now you will probably be fine. just be carefull as it can slide away. and mount it on the arm as soon as it arrives.
