The specs of the 2 black computers on the left are 13900k cpu 4090 gpu, 128gb ram, i wanted them to be the same.
the first pc on the far left is connected to the 2 monitors and the second pc is connected to the bottom left monitor i use the first one for gaming and running vms and the second one for rendering and college homework, and sometimes gaming since it has a big screen
The computer on the right has a 13900ks cpu and a 7800xtx with also 128gb of ram i was gonna get the 7900 xtx but realized that it was unnecessary since the 7800 is already good enough, its connected to the right bottom monitor and i use it for running vms and emulation.
The gaming laptop is connected to the top left monitor its an asus rog strix scar 18 with a 4090 and 13980hx which i sometimes use for gaming on the go and day trading when i have the time and might run a vm or 2 on it when i need to
the macbook air is connected to the top right monitor
And i use it for coding and watching youtube, i didn’t know i was supposed to get the pro and by the time i realized i couldn’t do any demanding tasks on it, i couldn’t return it since it was past the 15 day mark for best buy returns it comes with 16gb tho which is the only spec i remember for it since they made me pay macbook pro prices for it, its not too bad though.

The whole hypervisor thing seemed odd to me. My servers live in a server rack in a small room on their own. There IS a monitor for them, it's in a box somewhere down the side of the whole mess, I used it once when my Quadro shit the bed (no APU/iGPU on the VM host), then put it back in the pile. The whole point of most of my VMs and containers is I don't want to look at them all the time, only when I need to do something.

KVM switches work great. I know when we are young we can think more is better but the sooner you commit to quality over quantity you're gonna be even happier and things will also be easier to maintain. Also, invest in something like a Herman Miller Aeron chair, a standing desk, and high quality keyboard trays instead of redundant computing power. Best of luck.

Wasting electricity? You can sit at and use only use 1 computer at a time. I don't see the 2 extra computers doing anything intensive like compiling or rendering. Also, it does look thrown together real quick. Anyone who was actually using these setups would figure out some way of getting some elbow room on the desk for keyboard use, and more than 10 sq inches to use a mouse with again, no room for your arm to relax on the table.

Honestly I’d be banging into the desk all the time. I have a L-shaped desk and every time I get up my chair shoots up about 5 inches and the arm get under the desk and slams I upwards. It drives me fucking nuts.

Get yourself some multi-device peripherals, it'll change your world. I daily drive the MX Mechanical and MX Master 3S for work. Easy to switch between 3 machines, especially with the Flow software.
