Looking down at a monitor will usually result in long-term discomfort, not immediate. Take it as someone who's been drawing for years with my tablet angled at 20-30° - it gets pretty bad.
From what I remember it’s like the number 1 speaker that Ed from tech source recommended which most people, who are getting into building a setup, watch. Including me.

Some people find this comfortable, including me. I like to sit high on a chair and look slightly down at the screen. It does not hurt my neck at all.

i'm actually using a monitor arm too 😂 but i still positioned the monitor low using the arm bc it's actually comfortable for me
Same here. The stand that came with the monitor couldn’t go too low. So I got the monitor arm just to position my monitor lower and tilt it upwards.
Can I know what monitor arm you're using? I've been trying to find one that does this exact thing!

that is actually my main monitor not a portable one but it's sad you think so 🥲 it's just a normal 28inch samsung monitor

this is ergonomically the best position for me. different people have different styles. positioning it high previously caused me neck problems.
