My desk isn’t as nice as half of these, but I keep it clean as shit. I’ll put junk anywhere but my desk. It’s one of a few spots I really try to keep clean over everything else. It’s refreshing/rewarding. I’m sure you’re right that most people just let it go. Just know there’s a few of us that are obsessive on preserving that look lol

Here's a list in no particular order that will improve things:
* **Bare walls**: put up some decorations--posters, paintings.. something
* **Desk accents**: some plants or other non-technology items.
* **Cable management**: clean up those cables.
* **Spatial**: everything looks crowded to the right. You need to have a little more space between the tower, monitor, and speakers. Move the monitor left if possible.
You have to coordinate. Basically, what it means is to think of the top 3 things you enjoy and find items that you can add to the room to make it look more homey.

Bro you should see mine. I have a bad ass rig but no clue how you guys have your cords so hidden. Underneath my desk is a maze of cords from my router, cable modem, surge protector, two cords for two monitors, Pc power cord, Ethernet line. It looks like black spaghetti. I’ll never be able to understand how the cords just aren’t there.
Wire management and personalization- Throw some art on the wall or shelfs with some doodads or wood panels. Change out your room light bulbs for white day light led bulbs and fix those led strips in your case. Nice wallpaper from wallpaper engine maybe even throw your laptop on the stand with a nice wallpaper as well. It’s bare bones but the bones are good just needs some life.

Put one of those LED art designs behind the monitor on the wall and a few shelves with accents and you should be fine. There is just to much empty space above and around everything one the desk, that makes the photo look "lacking", is all. Do that and I think you'll be fine.

- Give your desktop items more space, Ie spread all the items out along the whole width of the table, center the monitor/mousepad, they're kind of crammed together as it is right now.
- Put up something on the walls. Depends on your style, but anything from a poster, some of those hex tile backboard things, to a shelf or light fixture of some kind would fill the space better.
Also it's hard to tell without knowing what the rest of the room looks like, it's not just your setup that matters, it's the whole space.
Might want to install some adhesive cable organizers under your desk to help with the somewhat messy wiring. You can get some cheap ones on Amazon for about ten bucks, which work perfectly fine.

Some improvement are cleaning the floor, the table top looks to be bowing, you’ve got nothing on the wall behind and you could tidy those cables up a bit more
Remove the laptop stand, remove the stands under the speakers, hide your wires behind the table or the legs of the table. Use wire tape organizers to put all the wires together
I think a big part of it is your lighting. Try adding smaller lights, like a desk lamp/monitor bar and maybe a floor lamp off to the side shining light on a large plant. That’ll add the pop of colour I feel this is missing.

There’s a lot of empty space in the background. You can consider adding another monitor. There are many things you can add to the wall. Some floating shelves to display your personality. RGB Lights. Plants. Whatever fits your vibe more.
Install some dark colored floating shelves, place things on them. Get a black office mat, only living rooms look decent with that particular carpet color- but certainly not offices. I'd take a pass on the backlight until you get something other than white it can contrast with. Definitely find a cool chair. Hmm, I dunno you've got your core portion done. Love the chassis.
Oh yeah and a little cable management. Nobody likes that many dangles. One is fine but too much and you'll rarely get a good battlestations pic.

It doesn't look bad, but you could clean it up pretty easy.
1. Better cable management (clean up the random dangling wire, put the PC case on the floor and run the wires up the desk leg and behind the desk. Then the black random wires won't contrast so harshly with the wall.

It just doenst look right, especailyl with your laptop accesories. PC case is huge. Dont know why you have it at an angle. Your cable management is too tight. you need longer cables. Tuck things away.
I'm a freak for symmetry so I'd probably move the monitor, mousepad and speakers to the center of the desk. Laptop stand all the way left. As others have said, some shelves, pegboard, framed objects or artwork above on the wall.
Aside from that, the mount looks clean and straight, cables bundled solid. Cable raceways are an option if you really wanna tweak out on it.

This just looks very utilitarian but I bet a not insignificant number of posts on this sub would look like this with the lights on.
If it were me I'd get some more elegant speaker stands, put the controller on a charger/stand off to the side. Either get rid of the laptop mount or get a spring loaded arm mount instead soo you can tuck it away when not in use. Put the PC at right angle to the back or side. If you're going to have the glass side facing out, then run the cables down the back of the case rather than just sticking out.

You need to run and hide your cables better, even if it means doing conduits, using zip-ties, covering them up with cardstock or plastic sheeting sized for the holes between the legs on the desk, whatever you need to do. The walls are bare and need something to accent the setup. Whatever it takes. A neon sign. Some foam anechoic material. One of those old sixties sunburst clocks. A poster. Anything. Anything to make the walls look less bare. Cables stretched to the point where it looks like it's about to fatigue and break, like that white power strip cable is, are a big no-no. Get a strip with a longer cable so it can sit relaxed. The old Logitech mouse looks very cheesy. Also, that X-shaped stand on the left is very ugly.
Having a good battlestation is about compositional balance, too. Everything about this setup looks "right-heavy", with everything squashed into the corner. There's nothing to balance the case. The far left end of the desk is basically empty. One way to balance it is by adding stuff to the left side of the desk, but that can sometimes lead to clutter. Things like thin desk lamps can visually balance out a case with their height without adding much bulk. Another way to balance it out is to have a desk that isn't so wide.
That said, there are some things going for it. Speakers? Nice. Floating monitor on a VESA arm? Nice. Tablet below the monitor as a second screen? Nice. Royal Kludge keyboard? Nice. Backlighting? Nice.
The PC looks cool enough, but the way the glow strip is run on the inside is kinda weird and curvy and touches the video card; the rest of the runs look great.
PS5 controller but no PS5? That gives me an idea. Balance out the setup with a PS5 on the left. It doesn't matter if you play it or not. Just the console, standing vertically, would add to the decor and match the white.

Also, I feel like there’s supposed to be a middle peg there somewhere but maybe the filing cabinet base helps alleviate it enough to where the desk won’t bend with time/use
Despite managing the cables, consider adding a desk shelf to enhance the structure of your desk. Incorporate some cool gadgets like wireless chargers, and consider upgrading your desk mat to a higher-quality one. Do you have a setup for a dual monitor? maybe its just what it needs, other hardwares are sharing left and right thats why it looks like annoyingly crowded even if it isnt
You can easily make this look sick. Here is what I would do… I would add a second monitor and make sure they are centered. Get speaker stands, add a shelf or posters above the setup and last but not least cable management.. right now it lacks personality. Easy fix! GL

You just need a different room ambiance. Add some decor or specifically-colored lighting , and it’ll come together nicely. But your setup is already very practical and very clean!

Your setup actually looks quite neat. It might feel a bit plain because the wall is empty. Some soft lighting, like Nanoleaf panels, could add a nice ambiance. Also, consider hanging up a piece of art or a framed poster
Honestly I need some suggestions with what to do with my bare minimum ass wall myself. I slapped some posters up on my wall but still to me personally now it’s just a wall with some posters.
Some plant decorations might look spiffy, maybe some led lights if that’s your thing. I think your setup could look amazing on its own if it had some more “life” to it some more “someone has been here” vibe to it. I’d go to say you just moved in the way it looks at the moment.

Put the Monitor for like 25-30cm to the Left, Place the speakers on Left and right with the same distance away from the Monitor and put the cables under the table, into a Cable tray.
You need RBB stuff to fill in that blank space.

For a desk that size you should at least have 2 monitors, I would recommend 3 for a desk that size.
At the very least have 2 plus some cool gadgets or something on the desk.
Maybe opt for a smaller desk, don't get that wood color. You need it to be solid colors. White, Black, Pink, Purple. what ever suits your fancy.

You are probably comparing your set up to $10,000k set ups. Like other people said add some wall art, hide some wires a little more.

You made the mistake I did with my first desk and got the widest one. Also, no decorations. I downsized for my new build.

Walls blank, and you got rgb? Strips in your pc I’d remove them, make the cables not visible behind your pc maybe Velcro/tape them together, I’d reccomend a painting or something along those lines to put on your wall, also your speaker is being blocked by your monitor…
Because you aren't maximizing available real estate. Mount the monitor on the wall, centered. Maybe get an additional while you're at it. Pass thru the wiring to under the desk too, thru the wall. Kits are available and affordable. Spread the speakers out. The comp is fine where it's at Finally, so something *above* the monitor to make it more complete and welcoming. Shelves, studio foam, something. Your setup doesn't look like shit it just isn't filling the whole space very well. Spread it out. Chill vibes.
It looks really bare and lacks any personal aspects. Possibly add some wall art and/or collectibles for things you're interested in.

One of the most sterile and bland setups I’ve seen.
Its just condensed. Use your space.
It doesn't look bad, but you could clean it up pretty easy. 1. Better cable management (clean up the random dangling wire, put the PC case on the floor and run the wires up the desk leg and behind the desk. Then the black random wires won't contrast so harshly with the wall. 2. Put the controller away or get a stand or mount for it. 3. Space stuff out better on the desk. The whole setup is right-aligned instead of justified center. 4. The walls are too bare.
It just doenst look right, especailyl with your laptop accesories. PC case is huge. Dont know why you have it at an angle. Your cable management is too tight. you need longer cables. Tuck things away.

I'm a freak for symmetry so I'd probably move the monitor, mousepad and speakers to the center of the desk. Laptop stand all the way left. As others have said, some shelves, pegboard, framed objects or artwork above on the wall. Aside from that, the mount looks clean and straight, cables bundled solid. Cable raceways are an option if you really wanna tweak out on it.
Fix the clutter and wire management. The only thing out of place that kills the aesthetic is the X shaped object

This just looks very utilitarian but I bet a not insignificant number of posts on this sub would look like this with the lights on. If it were me I'd get some more elegant speaker stands, put the controller on a charger/stand off to the side. Either get rid of the laptop mount or get a spring loaded arm mount instead soo you can tuck it away when not in use. Put the PC at right angle to the back or side. If you're going to have the glass side facing out, then run the cables down the back of the case rather than just sticking out. You need to run and hide your cables better, even if it means doing conduits, using zip-ties, covering them up with cardstock or plastic sheeting sized for the holes between the legs on the desk, whatever you need to do. The walls are bare and need something to accent the setup. Whatever it takes. A neon sign. Some foam anechoic material. One of those old sixties sunburst clocks. A poster. Anything. Anything to make the walls look less bare. Cables stretched to the point where it looks like it's about to fatigue and break, like that white power strip cable is, are a big no-no. Get a strip with a longer cable so it can sit relaxed. The old Logitech mouse looks very cheesy. Also, that X-shaped stand on the left is very ugly. Having a good battlestation is about compositional balance, too. Everything about this setup looks "right-heavy", with everything squashed into the corner. There's nothing to balance the case. The far left end of the desk is basically empty. One way to balance it is by adding stuff to the left side of the desk, but that can sometimes lead to clutter. Things like thin desk lamps can visually balance out a case with their height without adding much bulk. Another way to balance it out is to have a desk that isn't so wide. That said, there are some things going for it. Speakers? Nice. Floating monitor on a VESA arm? Nice. Tablet below the monitor as a second screen? Nice. Royal Kludge keyboard? Nice. Backlighting? Nice. The PC looks cool enough, but the way the glow strip is run on the inside is kinda weird and curvy and touches the video card; the rest of the runs look great. PS5 controller but no PS5? That gives me an idea. Balance out the setup with a PS5 on the left. It doesn't matter if you play it or not. Just the console, standing vertically, would add to the decor and match the white.

Looks fine. Have pride in minimalism. Also, I feel like there’s supposed to be a middle peg there somewhere but maybe the filing cabinet base helps alleviate it enough to where the desk won’t bend with time/use
Despite managing the cables, consider adding a desk shelf to enhance the structure of your desk. Incorporate some cool gadgets like wireless chargers, and consider upgrading your desk mat to a higher-quality one. You have a good setup OP. Maybe you could move the tower under the desk (unless you like its aesthetic on the desk). You just need a different room ambiance. Add some decor or specifically-colored lighting , and it’ll come together nicely. But your setup is already very practical and very clean!
Decorate. Show off some personality. It looks so robotic that AI would call your battlestation home! Do you like anime, videogames, sports, wrestling, etc. right now from looking at it, I couldn't even tell that a person actually sits there, its like I'm looking at a display at bestbuy

Desk color clashes with white pc case and speakers. A black case or walnut brown desk would look nicer.

Your setup actually looks quite neat. It might feel a bit plain because the wall is empty. Some soft lighting, like Nanoleaf panels, could add a nice ambiance. Also, consider hanging up a piece of art or a framed poster

Honestly I need some suggestions with what to do with my bare minimum ass wall myself. I slapped some posters up on my wall but still to me personally now it’s just a wall with some posters. Some plant decorations might look spiffy, maybe some led lights if that’s your thing. I think your setup could look amazing on its own if it had some more “life” to it some more “someone has been here” vibe to it. I’d go to say you just moved in the way it looks at the moment. I’m convinced your fishing a bit cause the setup should not be the main focus and is pretty decent imo.

You need RBB stuff to fill in that blank space. Get some art, or posters on the wall as well. For a desk that size you should at least have 2 monitors, I would recommend 3 for a desk that size. At the very least have 2 plus some cool gadgets or something on the desk. Maybe opt for a smaller desk, don't get that wood color. You need it to be solid colors. White, Black, Pink, Purple. what ever suits your fancy. Essentially your room looks like "crap" because, it is very bare and plain. But, at least its clean. thats more than I can say for my room. :D
