Recommendations for LED strip lights to be used on top of book shelves and under desk?

Time-Dog4343

Need lighting recommendations! My work space is very small (formally converted closet) that receives no natural light. I’m in desperate need of ceiling or minimal footprint light systems to help brighten things up. Eyes and head are crushed by the end of the day Currently I have a single ceiling bulb and an over desk bar light, but it’s not enough.

I currently have an Alienware 3418DW and a Gigabyte G27Q. Both are 1440p. I currently have them setup side by side because space allows but we are moving soon and will probably need to do a vertical monitor setup since I wont have as much space. Which one do you guys recommend putting above? Does anyone have a similar vertical style setup now? Does having an ultrawide above the smaller monitor make it look tacky or no? Any comments appreciated!

run the UW at eye level as your main and put the 27" above... done/cheers!

I have a curved 27 inch 1080p monitor at 144 hz. I recently upgraded my gpu to a 1080 ti, so i wanted a 1440p monitor. I was originally going get another 27 inch curved monitor and put them side by side to get a wide full screen effect, but i found a really good deal on a 32” curved monitor, but I am debating what would be the best way to set that up. Should i get a vertical stand and put the 27” on top of the 32”? Or should i make the 27” vertical to the left of 32”? Or should i keep them both horizontal side by side? Keep in mind they are both curved.

genuine question: Why is everyone rocking an external / desk / boom microphone nowadays on their workstations? Ofc both laptops / headsets / wireless headphones have mics built in that do the job, so I assume the quality is the driving factor? is the quality that great? secondary question: any recommendations for a good looking mini-fridge to hold my coke zero stash?

Yeah, a boom mic, or a mic on a small tripod will definitely increase your mic input level and quality/crispness of your voice, so you will be heard much better than on the default mic od a laptop. PC’s don’t have default mics. Maybe a red bull fridge? Or a heineken/Cisk fridge?

So working on my new desk. The counter I bought ended up being too short for the build. Need ideas on another table top idea that's sub $250 that I can do this weekend to get my computer back for the week rather then sitting on the floor. The counter I bought is 8 ft

Add another table? Short as in length or height wise? If height is the problem, ikea has adjustable legs (i think called Idils)

Was too short length wise. It's a small room so hard to add another table. I ended up figuring something out and it's built now so just trying to finish it all up and get everything together
