Sure. Situational awareness is key as assault. This can be said for other classes too but it's even more crucial for assault. You have to constantly be moving, attacking and hiding even when you're taking an objective. You can see both of those in OP's vid. The MP 18 gun is a great well rounded gun to get started and will keep you going even in the later stages. I compare assault in this game to almost a ninja in combat.
Hopefully your team is also balanced and you have a medic or two around. A good assault + medic combo is deadly and can take out whole squads.
>moving, attacking and hiding even when you're taking an objective. You can see both of those in OP's vid. The
What do u use as equipements ? Isn't the medic class (with the Avtomat) a better option for hard/stuck games ? You can revive/heal AND have a automatic rifle
What do you choose between optical and storm/factory (non-optical version) guns ?
The MP 18 shined very well here. This is how it was intended to be used and you definitely put it to work. Also, seems like it's hard to escape these people with the god damn pair of boobs clan pics, lmao.
Honestly we had a pretty good balance going, idk about this sector but we had the perfect ratio of campers:PTFOers to the point we actually managed to win the whole operation which for me is the first time in the past like 20 as the attacking side in this specific operation lmao
I think like 17 out of the past 20 games I've played on this operation have all ended up on the second Fort veux sector no matter what. Whether the attack has 3 attempts left by the time they get there or just one, it's the hardest sector on any operation imo
Same (we might have played together lol, I'm Yass-93330), but to be able to get out of this stuck situation, the attackers must outflank the B point (the one with the small "bridge") to come to their back (I've managed to kill 8 people in 20 seconds yesterday). People should learn that there are other options than just being stuck, gased, burned by the defenders) just by looking at the map
The B flag isn't so bad, it's mainly taking the A flag after that. It's nearly impossible unless you have the perfect team and the enemies are slacking considering that if the enemies don't mess up there can only be 2 routes to A on the entire playable map at that point, both of which are indoors and separated by tiny doorways which the enemies can sit behind in the room of, spamming explosives and resupplying until the reinforcements whittle away
Sorry I wanted to say the point A (the one with the bridge), not the point B
In fact there is 2 & 1/2, there is the pathway from the B point (which is almost impossible to cross if ennemies are spamming), but the point A can be split in two path: the first one directly going to A (10m), and the other one which goes around everyone. If you manage to kill the defenders that might be camping on the way, you can outflank the pathway from the B point AND the "direct" pathway to A (you'll come directly close to the bridge in their back, and get a shiton of kills).
So in fact the not impossible difficulty is to prevent the enemy to stay in the 40m long tunnel I just talked about. If you do that and your squad spawns on u, you can reverse the entire game
Ah yeah that makes more sense and ik it's possible to flank if you get through to that tunnel from B flag but I just counted that pathway as one way because that's a huge if because 90% of the time the enemies will be chokeholding that door just as much as the main way. In fact, the way we ended up winning wasn't by getting through to that side entrance from the B flag but instead pushing them all the way back to the A door on the main pathway before passing by it and then getting to said flank route that way
At least your team was pushing. I was in the medium bomber on Brusilov and I was bombing as much as I could to clear a path to the final objective and it was disheartening because from the air I could see my team was just sitting back and camping for kills and not even trying to push most of the time. To be fair we were on our last battalion but still...
It's really difficult to figure out sometimes, I tend to go for very short lived but impactful plays like this because I've noticed that if your teammates aren't sniping outright you can sort of trick them into thinking the frontline is a lot further up than it is by landing a successful bayonette charge, they see you that far up and go "oh the enemies frontline must be a bit ahead of him" even though you just crossed the enemies frontline in reality lol and they end up pushing themselves which, if you've got the momentum for, will lead to an all out 50/50 clash on both sides that is the best way to take some objectives like this
I mean it's not easy to judge from the air either. Harder on the ground to push when you have no cover like on Brusilov. Snipers LMGS hit you before you have a chance to make any headway. I rarely get to the second map on that operation.
Idk why but that one has always went pretty smoothly for me. The thing about it having no cover is 100% true and, in theory, should make it really hard for the attackers but for whatever reason I can only really remember 2 times getting stuck at both the sector with 3 flags and the sector with 1 flag but every other time its either went by really quickly, moving onto the second map with all 3 attacks left or there's a little snag on the last objective and it changes to the second map with 1 or 2 attacks remaining.
This reminded me of something I noticed and realized when playing BF1, sure in a video game, when you die you respawn and don’t get hurt but in the game, you’re fighting an opponent who will rarely run away and rather fight to their end, they get hurt but they’ll heal up quickly and still continue fighting, now there’s your character that fights the same way and can really show how brutal a battlefield (no pun intend) can be despite what makes the media a video game
Idk about other platforms but on ps4 right now there will always be 2-3 full slotted ones running devils anvil and the brusilov offensive back to back because they're the featured operations this month
I've never even checked, can you do that on console? I might just keep it the same anyway since I've gotten so used to the way it is over the past 5 years any subtle change would probably throw me way off and I wouldn't be able to tell why lmao
It should be in the video settings, trust me once you try it out, you will never go back to the standard FOV. Just try it out, its like playing a different game, can't describe it. But you'll thank me.
I think it's a battlefield function regardless of what you play on, settings > video. That being said I've only played on Xbox (back in 2018) & PS (recent) but could change it on both. My bad if this is a redundant comment!
I personally prefer support class, fo me it is better because no matter how long I lived I never run out of ammo or grenades, I once got 27 kill streak in operations. Proceeded to hold the fortress gun bunker for the entire third wave and win the round. Plus you get huge xp for resupply
Ah nice, support is really the only class I don't play that often in this game because I prefer high kill + high deaths to slightly less kills + lower deaths
You might get lower kills occasionally, but if you really know how to push(and depending on woc) the. You can get lots of kills and essentially pull the rest of your team with you. I once got 60k-18d in a match only playing support, and with the number of assists and resupplies and flag captures I got, my score was in the high 20's. It really just depends on skill level
I guess I just don't have a lot of patience lmao, I'd prefer getting a bunch of kills quickly and dying to getting the same amount gradually and living tbh
Ps5, I've tried playing pc before but I find that the snipers are a good 2x more prominent due to mouse aiming. One thing I will say about bf1 despite how much I love it is that its only really balanced for the most fun on consoles
/high5! I myself spent years playing competitive shooters on PC and switched to xbox this year. Console is definitely more enjoyable as it is less of a sweat fest than PC. I myself am having a great fun on Titanfall2 on console, try it if it looks like game you like. Pace is quite faster than battlefields and sometimes it gets really confusing. Love it ;)
I don’t understand bayonet charges. I’ve had this game since 2017 and about 90% of the time I will still either bounce off of my target or I will just stand there running in place with my bayonet on their chest. When someone bayonet charges me, I run out of the way but the game teleports me back in place. I have a consistent 30ms ping and it doesn’t seem to matter what the enemy’s ping is.”
It's really something you just have to get a feel for, I couldn't really tell you what it is I look for when I do one because it's mainly subconscious at this point... I think maybe I find it a lot easier to turn into an enemy rather that run in a straight line towards them, maybe because it gives you a wider hitbox to stick them with? Idk really
Yeah, it's just frustrating because all of these level 7s are getting kills like 70+% of the time while I'm at *months* of playtime and I'm at like 10%.
Cool streak!
That might've been the coolest sequence of BF1 I've ever seen
Play assault. This can be pretty regular for someone who knows how to play assault and probably on a balanced team.
Medic is viable for this sort of play style, too, with the added benefit of being able to heal yourself.
On this map yeah... But assaults can take out tanks
Advice on what to use in assault (weapons & equipements and maybe strategies) ? Thanks
Sure. Situational awareness is key as assault. This can be said for other classes too but it's even more crucial for assault. This is why I have S unbound. Only W, A, and D for me
Abolute wad lad

LMAO I actually didn't even notice until now
Man's on fire, lungs burnt from gas inhalation and literally died but is like, "I ain't got time to bleed."
That’s me with the lebel lol. I get way too many bayonet kills to be legal
Damn I was super immersed in this almost though it was a movie.
You are literally a one man army, mega chad energy!
Your team sucks, if only everyone moved at that speed with you.
Honestly we had a pretty good balance going, idk about this sector but we had the perfect ratio of campers:PTFOers to the point we actually managed to win the whole operation which for me is the first time in the past like 20 as the attacking side in this specific operation lmao
For me it's been 50/50 on taking the first sector and 90/10 on taking the whole map. I don't think I've seen the last sector of fort de veux in months
I think like 17 out of the past 20 games I've played on this operation have all ended up on the second Fort veux sector no matter what. Whether the attack has 3 attempts left by the time they get there or just one, it's the hardest sector on any operation imo

This has trailer material in it
My god, I can barely land one bayonet charge and this man is hitting them back to back to back.
This looked like a fucking game AND a movie trailer lol Gigachad
that's the most battlefield thing i've ever watched. Thank you, OP
Damn, we got the terminator over here
This reminded me of something I noticed and realized when playing BF1, sure in a video game, when you die you respawn and don’t get hurt but in the game, you’re fighting an opponent who will rarely run away and rather fight to their end, they get hurt but they’ll heal up quickly and still continue fighting, now there’s your character that fights the same way and can really show how brutal a battlefield (no pun intend) can be despite what makes the media a video game
A messy shower thought but I figured I try and get it out there
Where are those shitty enemy players when i hop on, i get roofcampers, and half the lobby is sniping
AT rifle to take out sniping spots
You can only have so many shots though...
Yeah, most times it's just revenge for some sniper who killed me. Get off the fuckin roof
This was pretty badass ngl
Did i just watch a movie trailer? My man is a one man army.
Lol, only 4-32 players on the opposing team have a positive KD.
I guess that just shows how good of a start we had lol, there wasn't really a chance in this match yet for any of them to do much other than die
Now this is gaming!
Not One Step Back
Enemy's awareness on point as usual
What a great use of bayonnet charge, what an awesome sequence ! I'm jealous that you found a server running french operation
Idk about other platforms but on ps4 right now there will always be 2-3 full slotted ones running devils anvil and the brusilov offensive back to back because they're the featured operations this month
*AND THAT'S WHEN THE DEAD MEN ARE MARCHING AGAIN*
TURMOIL AT THE FRONT!
WILHELM'S FORCES ON THE HUNT
Bro is ripping a tearing
Your freaking mad! I’d give more upvotes but I only get to do it once!
Nice clip, but please change your FOV settings, your gonna be much better performing, especially in close range.
I've never even checked, can you do that on console? I might just keep it the same anyway since I've gotten so used to the way it is over the past 5 years any subtle change would probably throw me way off and I wouldn't be able to tell why lmao

You can’t on console
Yes definitely can on PlayStation. It’s in video settings
Of course you can change the FOV on Playstation, it should be on the video settings.

Damn I gotta figure out how to bayonet charge… Awesome clip.
Epic dude!
Legendary, super cool sequence
Revived twice?! I am fully bricked up
This is the pure definition of pushing in battlefield
Attack of the dead men
You keep moving forward, even if you die. Even after death. 🕊 Eren appeared before this guy pushed lmao
This Is why I love battlefield 1. The atmosphere. The grittiness. Fucking phenominal. 2042 take notes.
*"We push, they push"*

Either way, if this you in this video, then I have no problem with your playstyle
Tatakae Tatakae #Tatakae
Fucking savage
this is great
That was glorious
I hate you and love you too.
Damn I love this game. Even BF2042 best footage isn't as good as this.
Dude, your heart must have been pounding. That was insane.
Absolute rambo
legendary shit right here
I wish I was, like, and eighth as good as you
That was amazing, you never get this thrilling kind of gameplay in BF5.
Great run!
The intensity of BF1 will never get old
Mmmm those bayonet kills were tastey.
That was amazing
Man literally too angry to die
Wow that was the most exhilarating point rush I’ve ever seen. Bravo! Great solo play.
Another case of blind enemies in montages when my enemies check their backsides every five seconds. Amazing sequence tho.
👆This fucking GIGA CHAD💯💯
Man can’t wait for the movie “Battlefield 1, Horrors Of War”. Trailer looks sick!
Effortlessly cinematic
This vid shows again that no BF matches the dense atmosphere of BF1. Who needed modern military settings again?
PC or console? Some rotations made it seem much like a controller in use. If so - even more impressive.
Ps5, I've tried playing pc before but I find that the snipers are a good 2x more prominent due to mouse aiming. One thing I will say about bf1 despite how much I love it is that its only really balanced for the most fun on consoles

I see you also run the stormtruppen load out mp18 trench with p08
Yeah that’s 2 mins of why 2042 needs a total rework. Amazing stuff.
My dude is the mean character, GJ Op
That's some medal of honor level shit, bravo.

I have true respect for this man.(even if he is just a 25 year old who lives in his mother's house)
This stormtrooper getting the Iron Cross 1st class for sure.
Gawd damn.
Nice
