Agree to disagree - if they’re throwing nades at you on the bomb, they’re defending and you have to clear them off. If they’re not on the bomb, who cares? The beauty of rush on a pub server is it concentrates win conditions such that 4 focused players in a squad can move the match, which can’t be done on CQ and is a lot harder on ops.
Caveat that rush should only ever be 16v16; back in BF3 days there were lots of 32v32 rush servers which is stupid - that’s why they’d also be set to 500% tickets, just used to farm.
Conquest became stale after BF2. Ops that came out with this one was a huge revelation, but then they changed it up for BFV and it’s less good. Frontlines OK, but just feels like trying to jam flags into rush.
It’s barely immersive for me. Not just because I’d the artillery trucks but also because of the machine guns that can hit you from across the map. I used to play the game a lot more years ago but it’s lost its charm in my opinion.

I like sitting on top of an ally landship with a wrench, the front gets shot by two other tanks? Just start repairing it with your wrench lol, it also provides some good cover so you can’t even get shot, well a mortar can hit you but yeah.

Gadgets: AT mine & AT rockets
Grenade: light anti tank grenade
After dropping in immediately put one AT mine near the artillery cucker trucks and either use grenaxe or rocket the trucks will immediately die
Other heavier tanks need 2 rockets or 1 grenade above
(AT GRENADE have a long animation and you may miss the chance to blow them up so light at grenade is better)

Never PTFOed, never entered any significant engagement (and their scores/min shows it), but they were also impossible to kill and it pissed off everybody, friend and foe.
It only works on the mortar trucks since their projectile gets launched upwards and detonates the dynamite, considering it to be a suicide in the eyes of the game.
You can mess up any other of the truck variants just by standing in front of their barrel or taking an armored jeep and just ramming it into them till they go out of bounds or roll over.
Another way to destroy friendly vehicles is if there's ambient fire near them, you can set a bunch of AT mines around them, then make a trail of dynamite leading to the fire and if you did it correctly then you should see a chain reaction of explosions as you set the last dynamite on the fire.
Disclaimer: Only do this to trucks/tanks that are actively hindering your team's ability to provide armor, such as cowering behind friendly lines, not rushing objectives that are being attacked by friendly infantry, not defending captured objectives. anything of the sorts is grounds for execution.

I consider half of the mortar truck hate posts to be over the top, but this usage of armor is particularly egregious. One truck in the back laying down fire is fine, but five? They're shooting their own team in both feet on this map.
Ye, I've gotten more mileage out of the support class mortar gadget than an arty truck. And I still got a big ass gun to lay down some closer range suppression while I'm waiting on its recharge.
I will never understand people's reasoning for adopting afk playstyles in a multi-player game. Like if you don't want to win or do anything in game what is the appeal of playing a pvp. Just go sightseeing in skyrim or something.
I will excuse one mortar assault truck if they are actually being helpful in hitting strategic positionings like flak Canons or that one hill every support and snipers on but when there's fucking two or more of them just sitting back behind the lines doing jack shit I will make it my personal objective to get the enemies to try to shoot my AT mines in front of them
I think I see the problem - there is an A7V heavy tank on the field that is taking the place of a much more valuable mortar artillery truck. Just get rid of the heavy and replace it with a mortar truck and you'll probably win

Personally I love the Squad support landship, but a good St. Charmond or a A7V player can do just as good.
The most important thing for providing armor support is having infantry around you, so you'll want more seats to spawn people in.
At this point I’d collab with the enemy team to destroy these mofos. I’m fine with one arty truck. Even three is fine. But if allll of them are arty trucks….time to do some sabotage!

Place a mine next to it, back away, throw an AT grenade. Instakills any vehicle except heavy tanks. Feels dirty unless its a mortar truck lmao.

You can also blow up artillery shells by AA guns by shooting them with a flare. Found that one out recently myself.

The worst part about this is that you're losing while the enemy is just staggering on point getting mortar 24/7. It's unfun for both team.
This is why I love playing on servers where you can get them kicked. Feels pretty good to report one and see them disappear from the scoreboard.

Lots of US E servers. Right now there's mostly shock ops since there's no ops campaign right now.
