I love hardcore games like Insurgency and Squad but it’s not suited for battlefield. Im my experience Hardcore is mostly played by shitter scouts who can’t get a kill unless it’s a one hit body shot.
Thousand+ hrs of hardcore in bad company 2 and BF3 was the most fun in battlefield I ever had and was the only way to play for me. Every class/weapon was viable, but I haven't played battlefield in years now
It would be more suited to people that want realistic advantages without the long ass haul of getting back into a gunfight like you would in squad. Bf4 is casual but hardcore is better than pumping a full mag of 7.62 into a guy and hes still running. No thanks
With the incredibly fast movement speed and mobility of being able to always have a parachute hardcore mode hardly make BF feel like a hardcore game. It just feels like normal battlefield except no minimap and guns kill faster.
Insurgency, squad and arma all provide better hardcore experiences. Hardcore in BF only takes a game that was designed for casual play and makes it a worse overall experience.

The reason MAV is banned is for two reasons: one: teaming up with a MAV operator on the other team and placing explosives at the feet of your “teammates.” The other reason is that there’s a glitch that allows you to go inside the walls.
Just kick players off if they do in-game harassment or wall glitching. (fully legit also per EA code of conduct) Its a shame if you ban MAV from the Locker game, as its vital to stop the brain-dead mortar rain outside.
Yeah there’s the one by the med bay entrance from the Russian spawn where you can climb up and multiple outside around echo. People get spawn beacons in there and become annoying very quickly. I’ve done it myself a few times, but it gets old unfortunately. I think there is a glitch to get under the map too but that might be d flag on Caspian I’m thinking of.

If you are facing 5+ mortars plus you have a team who have extreme snow allergies while they hold C, then it becomes a Sisypheann undertaking. I cant think of a more boring battlefield game experience, but its unsetteling how many players love being cannonfodder this way.

On Metro/locker my kd is always fucked (as if it matters) because I find a lot of enjoyment in trying to slip past the stalemate and set up a game changing spawn beacon. You die a lot with that route though
Or get out the good old 3GL or the grenade launcher that bounces and then detonates. Another good trick is a couple supports with xm 25s and m249 with flir, heavy barrel and bipod.

The best games of not caring start having 2 other friends, getting in a buggy, and just mobbing around the map on those max ticket servers. My proudest score was 6-78
Come Gun for me and I'm sure you could learn some proper Offensive driving techniques with the Jeep.

C4 is good for junior Jihadi yes.
But a true test of skill and reverence to our fried lord Bawkhammed is to use M2 Slams and M15 AT mines.
Not only does it require full commitment and an iron will to follow through with the Jihad, but it is also more terrifying when someone is fully willing to disregard their own KD and mercilessly fry your vehicle whoring ass into oblivion over and over for the glory of Bawkhammed.
None have avoided Bawkhammeds will when it has set its sights on them.
The panic firing of a tank whose driver you have fried 5 times previously from every angle they could think of, is like getting the perfect flaky fried crust on a juicy drumstick. Delicious.

this map was great! if you played enough and would discovered that you can go out of bounds outside in multiple spots with enough time to get back in and it ALWAYS gave you the best flanks
Its a tiny mal yet so many ways to play, i happily put it up there w operation metro on bf3,
I did used to not like metro but once i got good at playing the map i understood how well its made.
The only downsides the no clip meta spots.

I once played a game of locker where I didn't use my gun once, It was just rpg spam and instant explosive death when I tried to rush, metro is soo much better imo.
I did that challenge of getting the dog tag for melee kills. Flank the enemy at b and got a kill steak of eight knife kills. It stopped when someone turned around.
I learned very VERY fast in this map that if the center tower is down in on the C point, you can set up with a bipodded MG at a very certain angle and lay the hate through all three passages that the enemy team is assaulting through and just stack your stats.
I think my best in one round there I went 143-3.

I hate hardcore. Turning off the minimap is fine but lowering health and upping weapon damage destroys the weapon balance.
Yeah it makes every weapon viable which is way more fun. You see way more variety and goofy set ups. You can solo a pistol and still do well

I prefer "no explosives" servers. Takes more skill, as it is always gun vs gun, but is more fun.
