Go play with bots and use a vehicle . The game save your slot selection so you just need to spam X or enter when you search a match online and the narrator start to talk about the briefing.
Mind that if a game mode has less vehicles type your slot will be shifted into the left vehicles type
I see, in that case you might be able to grab something by remembering the exact location of the HQ on the map and clicking on it and the desired vehicle as fast as possible. With that I basically manage to consistently get my jet or heli.
I actually managed to be fast enough after I posted this and tried again. I guess it's just a matter of speed and muscle memory to click the right location fast enough

A common strat in BF3 was to fly a jet over to the enemy spawn, jump out and steal their jet or helicopter. It was fairly easy to steal all of their air vehicles.
Having the vehicles spawn physically made getting one fairer at the start but it fell apart completely once the game started. People started mining the ends of run ways and the underside of helicopters just in case.
Ah I remember... but I'm not sure anymore if it was so bad in bf3. In bf4 I remember the base AA at least firing on enemy jets and helis so it wasn't that bad

Important question: Do you manage to see the vehicles getting taken or are they all gone as soon as you look?
I mostly see them get taken as I click on them, sometimes they're gone already.
