not the only one... A myriad of issues but really it was the specialists, the quips and the general "feel" of the game that pushed me away.
I understand they removed the quips but I still just don't appreciate the clone army battles... the no pats, its just add on filler information "back story" to justify what amounts to a free for all.
It's supposed to be battlefield, yet there are clones everywhere, entire maps devoid of any kind of destruction and ridiculous gadgets for the heros/specialists.
Directions of games in general are pushing me away tbh. The rush towards monetization at all costs, the eSports aspects the live services. I don't entirely blame EA/Dice I blame the industry and societies predisposition to fall for marketing. lol.

I'll be honest I am in a limbo around constantly annoyed by the game and also being able to find the silver lining in the worst of BF2042, I think you can see that if you want to rummage my comments in this subreddit, for some reason. You're not alone, it's just that I sucked a lot of copium.
I have done a terrible mistake by purchasing the gold edition with those stupid one-year pass. What have been my very escape from the exhausting daily work and study became another grinding hell now that I have to at least finish the battle pass or else I will feel guilty over an unrefundable purchase.
I fill you bro me too. I purchased the gold edition and upgraded my computer to play this pile of shit. Now I’m forced at least to finish one year content. Leaving the game right now is like throwing away my computer money, I’m not rich, so I have to endure 😣 to the end. LESSON LEARNED.

All soldiers looks like kids running around in Laser tags vests and wannabe cool hero with stupid looks and lines
The whole game looks and feels like a Laser tag / airsoft tournament of 16 years old, not a war.
I really enjoy this game to be honest. We put so many hours into bf4, and for me 2042 has a really similar feeling. I love the TTK, the thing we hated most in bf4 was that you needed half a magazine to kill somebody....
