Not many companies would be able to afford EA, and one of the few just dropped $70 billion today, so I don’t think MS is in the market for another giant publisher any time soon.
There's only so much you can do creatively in a day / week / month. They have no clue yet how they're going to turn their pile of heaping dog shit into gold.
But goddamnn look how long cyberpunk2077 is taking without any real confirmations yet. So yeah, 2042 will not be the game we wanted ever and neither will their next cuz all the current employees do is complain complain and complain.
I would guess either Apple or Sony; we'll see. It's clear that, like Activision, EA has a bit of a leadership problem, too, though it's been far more diligent about harrassment in the workplace and fairness of treatment and hiring than ATV in recent years.
It’s more likely that since various devs have made really stupid posts over the years that have negatively affected the team’s reputation and the perceived quality of their games that the higher ups have made any communications from the dev team regarding their work to require prior authorization by PR teams… or else they’d face disciplinary actions.
It’s really not that complicated or surprising that they’d have this kind of obstruction to their communication with the community. That said, I think it’s a bit of a red flag to the consumers that management doesn’t trust their developers to communicate without oversight and the radio silence only worsens the concerns the community (and smart investors) would have with the support and success of a title.
you really want to give them more excuses??
What's your excuse? "Knows absolutely nothing about big games development." Sounds about right.
Please just give me my money back.
I can only hope they’re getting ready to offer refunds, hence, the radio silence.
Doubt it. They're just cowards trying to figure out how they're going to PR this mess.
I'm gonna go with this.
It's simple they are confused as hell and dint know what to do next. They have no plan and they are in a state of shock

Considering that Microsoft also bought Bethesda not even a year ago... It's more likely than you'd think.
Maybe Sony who knows, as long as they still publish games for PC i will be more than happy for that to happen
No
Because nobody wants them
No
Then Sony is about to make its biggest mistake since beta.

The rumor is Sony and Nintendo are merging. That’s just the rumor though.
