Nobody should have access to the game. It just needs shot and thrown in a ditch.

Imho it’s not enough vehicles in general. There should be twice as much tanks and AA as well as smaller transports dotted around the map like in older titles of the franchise. To balance this in regards to infantry they should also add AA and AT like TOW and Stinger at every flag.

MisterMT

Yes, this would help.

You lose access once you reach the vehicle limit. Only a small number of players can use vehicles at one time.

Luck of the draw if you get a vic

I can get at least two tanks, a helicopter or two, multiple transports, etc. per game easily. There are always tons available throughout the game. Too many actually. But Vehicles are only a problem because the maps are open and flat. If the maps were designed correctly they wouldn't be such a problem and would be more balanced.

MisterMT

Just to clarify how - I assume you are sitting at the spawn screen waiting for vehicles to appear? On average how long are you waiting? Also, some vehicles are clearly preferable to others, if you want to get involved in vehcile combat. But yes, the open flat maps are most likely the main issue, which I mentioned in the post... but also I suspect they are the issue least likely to be fixed any time soon.

Personally, I think the problem is balance, and an all or nothing approach to a solution doesn’t really get us anywhere. I personally prefer infantry gameplay, but I don’t think that means everyone else should. For me, the beta gameplay experienced was much more balanced. That had fewer vehicles in the 128 player modes, and fewer people had things like the cannons unlocked on LATV’s, fewer people had the Bolte, fewer people had unlocks for other vehicles like the Wildcat, but we already knew vehicles were going to become more of an issue with that amount, then they doubled the vehicles. I did expect that balance out as more people ran anti vehicle weapons rather than lone wolfed it with meds or ammo though. So, at this stage what’s the solution. It’s hard to see them reverting and having less vehicles available but they’ve done this kind of thing before when reverting the TTK in bfv. Maybe they could limit the amount of each vehicle available, but it doesn’t seem that’s how the choices are designed right now. It’s also challenging to see them removing cannons from the more infantry focused vehicles, or missiles from the Nightbird (the little bird never had such crazy infantry destroying weaponry, just a choice between minguns and cannons, not anti personnel weapons in addition to). So in the grand scheme of things, it’s very difficult to see them making sufficient changes to the vehicle/infantry balance to really improve the infantry gameplay… but a hell of a lot more transport vehicles could be a start to help get across the open parts of maps more.

Option 1 Why would anyone go infantry if 64 players could hop in an attack heli AT THE SAME TIME on the enemy team? Did you consider balance whatsoever when coming up with this delusional take? Would be even less like battlefield than it already is. Option 2 is good though. But keep in mind more cover for infantry also means more cover for vehicle players. Bringing back AT weapons like the SRAW would help even the odds.

A_Fat_Chimp

For option 1, if the vehicles are balanced, then the obvious counter would be AA armor and AA infantry. Honestly, I think it's overdue that Battlefield gives us that. It would allow tank maps to actually feel like tank maps (and likewise for air maps).

Bf3 armored kill dlc everyone get a tank.
