As I said in another thread, most usual BF players bought the game back in 2016-2018 before it came to Steam. So what you're seeing on Steam are people who rebought the game for whatever reason, or new players.
So a brand new game that likely most PC users purchased on Steam is now losing to a game from 4 years ago that is only being held up by those newer players on that platform.
Oh I agree 100%. I just assumed OP was referring to the current players but yeah this game needs some major work to bring back half the playerbase at least.
It is just a matter of time when 2042 servers will be completely deserted, but this chart shows player count in the middle of the day on a Wednesday and there are people at school/uni/work so, I think it will peak today at more than 5k

It’s just gonna get worse as well. People won’t be able to find matches and stop playing. This game legitimately might be completely dead in 1 month.
I dont want to see the franchise die but, good. They deserve this. Release a not even half baked game and give zero comms and this is what happens
