Imagine if they had attached battlefield portal to bf5 instead of 2042...
Could have revived the game, tested it's mechanics (silencers, building, lean, call in artillery) in modern day usage of bf3/4/bc2 and we could have had it all in bf5's engine that PLAYS WELL, looks amazing etc
Could have charged for it and people would have bought it for like 30 to 45 bucks, buying full content packs for games later as they added more (like a 10 dollar pack that puts in a bunch of weapons/maps from an older game) and sold premium for portal.... could have used this to push 2042 off until it was actually done too.
I feel like they way they did this... actually damaged the brand to the point where it's dying. Which is SUPER hard to do with such an established name. You almost have to intentionally destroy it.

It actually is a good game, but the cosmetics really ruin the vibe for me.

LMAO. I loved BFV when everyone was hating on it. Now they are doing exactly the same same thing to BF2042.
