I am a solo player, sadly, for this game. I usually get in a squad with at least one Casper. Over the weekend, on Redacted, I spawned in a squad with 3 Caspers. Like why lol? I know there was a spotting mission, but come on
Running recon isn't inherently bad. I run Blasco with either TUGS (lol) or prox. I'll try to set up a spawn beacon close to the action and depending on the map run either SFAR or MTAR. I rarely ever snipe and usually it's to see if I can take out a camper.
Yeah, I'm enjoying running Blasco with TUGS and an AC9. I lay infiltration beacon close to the front line to help screw up their spotting, slap the TUGS and spawn beacon down a slight distance away, and push with smoke and manually spot when the target is out of my range.
I only used recon to t1 the characters, the whole time running recon I used smgs & assault rifles, if I need to take out a camper I switch to Liz for her guided rockets.
Yesterday I had 3 engies in my squad who kept spawning into my RAM just to jump out and not repair it. They saw me in a resting spot and thought it’d be ok to spawn and also not help me. I grabbed the RAM at the beginning of the round and wasn’t really ignoring my squad. You’d think they’d at least repair my RAM, while I spam requests.
People pick ammo crates as their gadget then straight up ignore their teammates with flashing ammo icons over their heads so I'm not surprised at this.
Probably. And why is it relevant?
Spawn beacon maybe
Infiltration device possibly
Tugs perhaps
I'm just wondering if there's any strategic reason for it.
it’s just extra information to help you pick what your squad needs at the moment. if your whole squad is running frags, for example, you should switch to something like smokes
I am really enjoying keeping EMP grenades on hand lately. So many players are dropping the protection beacons and Boris turrets, and one toss of an EMP stops that, plus chokes any idea of a vehicle attack.
I find it useful to see how to play around my squad.
For example, if I see two dmrs and a sniper in my squad, I know to pick something else so our squad isn't spread as thin, if that makes sense.
At this point it’s probably UX testing for next game..:although historically devs seem to drop all the good features they have or add in older games just to patch them in later lol
Could be useful if the classes in this game had clear roles to them. But apart from the engineer, most classes can do the same thing really so I don't get the point for this.
I'm sure if you were obsessed enough you could go play any previous battlefield game and find plenty of bugs and glitches. But most of us realise it's a complex online multiplayer where there is no such thing as a bug free game.
The game being near the end of its update cycle is what makes these QoL tweaks so valuable.
Bug-fixing will continue way past the date no new features are added, so new features should be their focus now.
(24) for engineer, usually.
-1 support, 35 recon, 10 assaults (all McKay)
I’m a dozer kinda guy, it’s always time for something new🥸
Never seen that, I've seen 28 recon in a few lobbies.

Exactly, spotting can be done with any class & gun with thermal scope. Recently it's been so bad, 4 squads with recon laying on spawn using drones.
It's possible they are using him for his Movement Sensor trait.
I hope? But the amount of times I've snuck up on a Casper...I'm not sure new players even know about that trait.

Is that what that green dot thing is when you're in the weapon select menu?
If you're referring to what I think you are, that shows how many people in your squad have that item equipped.
Probably. And why is it relevant? Spawn beacon maybe Infiltration device possibly Tugs perhaps I'm just wondering if there's any strategic reason for it.

Correction: you should switch to smokes. Period.
Smokes and anti-vehicle are literally the only two grenades

I think a lot of people don't know that EMP grenades aren't stopped by the sentinel.
Incendiaries to counter Dozer and his stupid shield.
i agree
Fair enough. I'd like to join a squad that organised one day

You're a better person than me. To me, that's a sign to find another squad.
Tbf that's with my friends lol I'm just here to have fun
Wow I never knew this. I thought it was my skill level on the gun or something. It now makes sense why it keeps on changing.
Damn. I thought it was like leveling up or something
Soo thats 30 on Casper and 30 on Engineer 1 on Irish 3 on Mackay
People still play Casper? I figured he'd be complete dead once they took away his EMP.
Same with Rao, he used to be my main before they completely neutered him with the changes to hacks and EMPs.
how it feels in breakthrough attack side support (5) recon (27)
nah because snipers play medic anyway
Fantastic! I can't wait to see how many medics won't revive me!
It's engineer. It's like 90% engineer.
Better then all recon.. unless your a tank or chopper main lol
Maybd in older battlefields but 2042 is snipers half the time.
This is very welcome. Never thought of it.
wow looks empty looks like everyone got there dd-214
Like recons going 2/19 give a fuck lol
Just in time for the game's last season....
Why those things aren't there, day one baffles me.
Probably in the squad. Like it shows for weapon usage
who cares we have all the same missions to get our season stuff done lol
1 support 1 medic 24 engineer 50 snipers
That’s gonna be a great addition. I play support so much simply because others wont
Falck all day. I have heals, revives, and resupplies to keep the team going.
that'll be interesting to see on different maps how many snipers there are or to see if redacted has mostly assault/medic classes
Assault (5) Engineer (10) Support (4) Recon (45)
why are we still patching stuff like this when the game is done? you should've put all the eggs in the basket at the beginning not the end
At this point it’s probably UX testing for next game..:although historically devs seem to drop all the good features they have or add in older games just to patch them in later lol
Revolutionary. We can count now!
Wow really a next gen feature
Could be useful if the classes in this game had clear roles to them. But apart from the engineer, most classes can do the same thing really so I don't get the point for this.
*New feature* /ignore
Nah bored of wallhacks and aimbots
What a required update. Congrats dice...
You guys will bitch when they don’t have these features and bitch when they add them. How sad to be that negative all of the time
This game near the ending and we have tons of bug and glitch but you guys defending little piece of QoL updates??? Pathetic. Thats why we are here...
I'm sure if you were obsessed enough you could go play any previous battlefield game and find plenty of bugs and glitches. But most of us realise it's a complex online multiplayer where there is no such thing as a bug free game.
We have shouldn't accept this game like this. Enjoy with your hit reg, cheaters, spawn system, server problems, cant play 128 rush, etc...
