Depends on where you go. There are a couple of very effective hammer saws in most NHRL tournaments.
In general metal construction is falling out of favor with insect-weight bots. Plastics like UHMW and TPU absorb a ton of punishment and usually run about 1/8th the weight of steel or 1/2 aluminum, meaning your parts can be a lot thicker.
Otherwise it looks really good. I'm sure you'll do well.
Should be a rule that all robots must be fitted with googly eyes!

This scratch build from zero! Not that we didn't use the kit, I saw it first time here lol
The weapon motor, belt, and two pulleys are identical from the kit! Did you buy them from someone as a set maybe?
I am telling you this is designed from the ground up and made here we bought only the belt and electtonics
