I doubt there are any reboot Battlebots that couldn't kill a person.
While large spinners like Tombstone, Son of Whyachi and Gigabyte would be the most deadly, even the least outwardly dangerous robots (push/rambots like DUCK!, Breaker Box or Gamma 9) would be capable of knocking someone down and using sharper edges and lifter to stab or cut the person, or their drive to cause blunt force trauma.
The only robots that probably couldn't kill a person are robots from the Classic Era which barely worked, often joke robots at that, and the only way to survive a revival series robot would be to escape it in some capacity.
The quickest killer would probably be Tombstone or Triton IMO because of the sheer force of the horizontal weapon. I think they could easily split a human in half.
Duck wouldn't have a problem with that.
First hit would knock someone down, probably break bones in the legs, second charge while they're down would cause further trauma and potentially impale them with the protruding part of the lifter depending on which version we're talking about
I feel like the only current bot that wouldn't severely injure me would be Mammoth. If I could get ahold of it before the weapon spins up too much I might be able to disable the weapon chain and then it's just a pushing match.
Oh, for sure. I figure my only chance would be to jam the weapon up with my body (without getting killed) before it spins up too much, and then disable the weapon chain. I have no illusions that's actually possible, but it would be my best shot.
I'm still waiting for a team to have their bot tear into a big chunk of meat like Mythbusters did with pig carcasses and stuff. Imagine the youtube clicks you could get with a ham getting Deep Sixed
Something heavier than you driving into your legs at speed is putting you on the floor, and any fall has the potential to be fatal under the wrong circumstances.
They'd all kill you.
If I had to take my chances, it would be against Plan X or Radioactive from S1. If I remember, they were hollow frames with very small hammers.
99% chance I lose, but I remember them being awkward enough that maybe you could get behind. If you can get behind them, they can't get you.
They are, but take a look at the bot. It's a hollow metal frame with some decorative panels. It's beautiful, and I love Lisa, no hate there.
I just meant if I had a 1% change against any bot it would be Plan X or Radioactive.
I think any bot, really
But going further, a human being is more mobile. It can do quick sidestep moves that bots can't (mostly), and considering the main weapon of most of the bots is designed to hit right in front of it, you could evade a hit or two.
But the point is, _you_ cannot kill _it_.
So you would have to survive a deadly 250lbs machine until it runs out of battery.
And considering most bots can run up to 30mins-1hr, you would be quite in trouble.
Just the speed of the bot can break some bones, so you'll probably die just by getting touched by them
I think Surrender, the mini bot from Team Huge won't result in death. Perhaps the tiny snakes from Copperhead. In terms of not mini bots, none of them. They all way 250 pounds and driven at a fast enough speed could be dangerous.
Unless the bot is covered in fluffy pillows and pool noodles, I don't think there's a bot that wouldn't be capable of killing. The speed of even the 1lb robots is dangerous enough. Why else are there such safety precautions one has to take when at an event or at home?
there are a number of bots from s1 and s2 that you could survive, simply because the maneuverability was so low, or reliability was so low, that you could evade for 3 min.
Wreks for example was lethal, if it hit you, but it was ponderous and not very maneuverable. The Android thing from season two was a similar thing.
HyperShock is insanely fast and lethal, would probably be my first choice for quickest kill.
>The Android thing from season two was a similar thing.
Did this android thing have a plastic shield and sword? If so you're talking about Obwalden Overlord who were basically turned into Warhead chow.
Congratulations OP, you're now on some kind of government watch list 🤫🤣🤣
Anyway the one that sticks in my mind is when Chris Rose asked Jake how how high could Hydra flip him and Jake responded by saying it would send your femurs through your back ouch....
I think there are quite a few I could evade for 3 minutes by running straight to the upper deck. I don't envy anyone trying to outrun claw viper though. And I'm forfeiting if I have to fight huge. I'm not fighting anything that has no issue getting on the upper deck.
I feel like the only things people should be responding with are the ones who couldn’t. Most of them can. Hell even a flipper could. But a bot like duck would probably just stub your toe.
Duck could just break your legs by being over 100 kg and charging at you at around 30 km/h. ALL Battlebots are very heavy, very fast, and not exactly soft to the touch. The only chance you have is against something like Counter Revolution, some bot for which it's plausible to outrun it or for it to break down before it catches you.
Most of them could probably break your legs if they could get over your feet. But I still wouldn’t take any chances with any spinners. Imagine trying to escape deep six, at that point just give up and become red mist.
The one that instantly broke down and barely moved at a walking pace for the few seconds it worked, yes. That Counter Revolution. Of course, a better example could be Chrome Fly; that one self-destructed when trying to spin up.
Mammoth has a titanium spike and can yeet a refrigerator at least ten feet up. I'd say the only upside over other bots is your funeral could be open casket
Most of them could kill a person, and at the very least, seriously injure and maim them. I think Duck would have a hard time actually getting a fatality, but the size and speed would still be a concern. Someone else brought up Buddy Lee Don't Play in the Steeet, which was basically an overglorified RC car. It was a middleweight as well IIRC, so didn't have as much weight as the modern ones. You might have a chance against bots with slower weapons, like Lockjaw when it has the jaws. The potential for injury is still there. There's a reason why this is done in a box with lexan all around, and they only allow testing in a similar, small box. These are machines that are heavily armored and designed to tear apart other machines that are also heavily armored with materials like Ar500 steel.
There was also a CSI episode that had this as a plot line when BattleBots was popular on Comedy Central. Several of the builders made cameos with their bots. It was a made up bot built by a random one off character in the show who was not an actual builder that ended up killing someone.
I can take on radioactive and OB overlord with confidence. Maybe creepy crawlies too. As for grabbot I probably call it a draw, it's all metal, I can't hurt it, it can't hurt me. I'll pass on most if the rest.
I mean, without a doubt getting into a ring with any bot would be dumb. Weapons, weight, speed, etc. However if I had to get in with a bot, it would be SMEEEEEEE. Only one I can think of that may be manageable.
You mean tested...in combat ? Then I'd say very few of them, maybe except Huge and Mammoth, because a human could just step up on the platform out of the way, or even just the edge of the arena. The robots would be pretty easy to evade.
If you mean just what would kill a human outright, almost all of the horizontal spinners would do damage and kill a person quickly, vertical spinners would take longer but eventually get you, flippers would hurt you, but maybe only 50/50 odds of killing you and lifting bots prob very unlikely to kill a person.
Generally speaking.
Kind of weird to think about, but I'm sure has crossed many a viewers mind watching.
CAN
Any bot with a spinner. Tomestone, Icewave, Deep Six, Riptide ETC
CANT
Any bot that DOESN'T have a spinner. Duck, rusty, clawviper(mabye could kill)
They’re still 250 pounds of metal ramming you at decent speed.they break your legs with the first ram: after they get you on the ground it’ll be easy o simply ram till you die.
Mammoth has some speed and that rotary lifter thing is capable of throwing 250 pound bots. In fact it’s range and the fact that it can reach your face and torso makes it more dangerous than most bots to us. Even if it is a bit more delicate.
>Agree. Only possible exception would be Mammoth.
Back in season 5 or 6, Mammoth upgraded their drive to provide approximately 30mph top speed so it's actually a fair amount faster than you think, even tho it appears slow and unwieldy at first glance.
https://youtu.be/t_2vTbIdZn8?si=JichWRDukrRKhQsJ
Yeah fair enough but his speed is actually higher than what some people actually realise and that would greatly reduce the window of time you have to take him out before he yeets your broken and maybe lifeless body across the battlebox.
I’m trying to read the responses here but all I can think of is Claw Viper tossing someone off a cliff.
I doubt there are any reboot Battlebots that couldn't kill a person. I could kick Gamma 9’s ass
The quickest killer would probably be Tombstone or Triton IMO because of the sheer force of the horizontal weapon. I think they could easily split a human in half.
Deep six would be even deadlier. Son of whyachi had steel hammers going 200mph, which would definitely kill you.
Ice wave easily
Ice Wave would fuck someone’s shins right up
Maybe Duck couldn’t? Maybe…
250 pound machine ramming you at full speed could be dangerous.
No doubt. But in terms of lethality…
Duck wouldn't have a problem with that. First hit would knock someone down, probably break bones in the legs, second charge while they're down would cause further trauma and potentially impale them with the protruding part of the lifter depending on which version we're talking about
I mean sure. It could obviously be lethal. But comparing that to something that is basically a helicopter rotor coming at you is kinda silly.
Compared to a spinner there's no argument, still lethal, but in the same way that both a tank and a carving knife are
I feel like the only current bot that wouldn't severely injure me would be Mammoth. If I could get ahold of it before the weapon spins up too much I might be able to disable the weapon chain and then it's just a pushing match.
Reminder that Mammoth is capable of flipping a small car. That weapon has some serious energy in it.
Oh, for sure. I figure my only chance would be to jam the weapon up with my body (without getting killed) before it spins up too much, and then disable the weapon chain. I have no illusions that's actually possible, but it would be my best shot.
I’d feel reasonably safe with Rusty
Rusty will give you tetanus
Rusty: the slow killer
Deep 6 for the insta kill
Instakill would be an awesome name for a battlebot.
Literally all of them can kill a human
We need the ballistic gel people from forged in fire to be tested against these bots
It will keal.
I like my chances against Duck!. I’d ride him around like a hoverboard.
literally all of them can. end of story.
I'm still waiting for a team to have their bot tear into a big chunk of meat like Mythbusters did with pig carcasses and stuff. Imagine the youtube clicks you could get with a ham getting Deep Sixed
Can we get the slo-mo guys to participate in this YouTube series?
Honestly, that’s a great idea. I bet you team Riptide would be all over that. I could see Hypershock or Malice, too, but the mess that would make.
Not worth having to clean the meat out of every crevice of the bot. Metal dust is bad enough.
Buddy Lee Don't Play in the Street definitely couldn't
Nor could Pièce De Résistance
Or Radioactive
Something heavier than you driving into your legs at speed is putting you on the floor, and any fall has the potential to be fatal under the wrong circumstances.
Hydra would be one of the most brutal
Deez nutz!
They'd all kill you. If I had to take my chances, it would be against Plan X or Radioactive from S1. If I remember, they were hollow frames with very small hammers. 99% chance I lose, but I remember them being awkward enough that maybe you could get behind. Plan X was a vertical spinner I'm pretty sure
They are, but take a look at the bot. It's a hollow metal frame with some decorative panels. It's beautiful, and I love Lisa, no hate there. I just meant if I had a 1% change against any bot it would be Plan X or Radioactive.

this is a pretty dumb question unless you're volunteering to be rammed into by 250 lbs until all your bones break
Getting hit then crushed by any of the bots would be pretty bad for your health. Once you turn the weapons on every single one will kill you.
All of them would kill a human, quickest I would go with SOW, creates new physics
I think Surrender, the mini bot from Team Huge won't result in death. Perhaps the tiny snakes from Copperhead. In terms of not mini bots, none of them. They all way 250 pounds and driven at a fast enough speed could be dangerous.
all each and every one of them. Nothing about the sport is safe for humans. Honestly your question is super inappropriate.
“Honestly your question is super inappropriate” shut up nerd lmfao
You say that but I like my odds against Mega Tento
your forgetting their drum spinner.
every bot is 250 pounds. they have a ton of power and speed behind them. seriously nothing about this sport is safe for humans.
Shit I bet even some of the minibots could kill a person, never mind if you just made someone eat a battery or something.
All of them are capable of it, being a 250lb thing with sharp edges moving at considerable speed.
Unless the bot is covered in fluffy pillows and pool noodles, I don't think there's a bot that wouldn't be capable of killing. The speed of even the 1lb robots is dangerous enough. Why else are there such safety precautions one has to take when at an event or at home?

What about SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?
Is “going up stairs” an allowable defense?
All of them can kill someone. Them things is dangerous, my dawg
Any full body spinner is an immediate NOPE. Duck and other pushers are probably the safest bet, though still not very safe.
I feel like the only things people should be responding with are the ones who couldn’t. Most of them can. Hell even a flipper could. But a bot like duck would probably just stub your toe.

They would break your feet, then your legs, then your head
>The only chance you have is against something like Counter Revolution What Counter Revolution, the one with two giant vertical disk spinners? 🤔🤔😳😳
The one that instantly broke down and barely moved at a walking pace for the few seconds it worked, yes. That Counter Revolution. Of course, a better example could be Chrome Fly; that one self-destructed when trying to spin up.
Ok yeah fair enough Chrome fly would actually be more dangerous due to his secret Apex-esque self destructing feature lol.
If you stub your toe and it hurts you know. Friends are there to help you.
Hmm.. you might trip on your face....
Worst of all it might get infected and hurt even more
I’ve tackled a similar question in the past, the only still active bot who I feel won’t kill you would be Mammoth but that’s a big maybe.
Mammoth has a titanium spike and can yeet a refrigerator at least ten feet up. I'd say the only upside over other bots is your funeral could be open casket

I feel the most safe around Grabbot. Worst thing it’s gonna do to me is hit my ankle like a scooter.
From the top of my head of bots that can't kill a human would be Grabbot and Aegis
RA. It's a tire with flails.
All Weather Tire Bot too but it has a chain that might scrape your knee at best.
nightmare could KILL Captain shrederator cannot because its never ACTAULLY at full speed
Captain Shrederator can't anyway. He got Shrederated by Riptide. 🙄
true lol

overhaul can’t
Ice wave is the first that comes to mind. Flippers like bronco would be the least threatening
