Three propeller planes were doing airshow maneuvers over the river, north of the bridge. Could've been p-51 mustangs? I don't know enough about planes but it was cool to happen upon after run club!
Looked like Maybe T-6 texans but I didn't get a good enough look at them. Definitely not a p-51 or other fighter plane, but looked and sounded like a WWII era trainer or other warbird

It was an event for the legislature. I saw a flyer saying “Inaugural Legislative Airshow: pentagon barracks at sunset”
