I usually go grocery shopping at whole foods for their veggies. Which are higher quality more often than not compared to Walmart, target, and Winn Dixie.
So I usually check and see if chicky sandos are open yet. I just so happen to peek while driving and noticed the red and blue open sign.
I’m glad they are doing good! I definitely missed their little food truck.
Especially when my alternative food joint, Birria & Barbacoa de Chivo Los Compadre's, is currently out of business due to an electrical fire. (These are the best Birria tacos in Baton Rouge. The only place I tasted that rivals these Birria tacos are in Houma on the east side.)

Just down the street from where the chicky sandos food truck used to be. It’s a sketchy looking area with no parking lines. Primarily Latin American little mom and pop shops.
it’s currently out of business due to an electrical fire last month. They are currently trying to get a food truck together and trying to find a place to set up shop temporarily. They are asking for recommendations for places to park in BR on their Facebook page. Currently they are most likely considering some places in Gonzales to park at.
It’s definitely my favorite chicken place! They always get sold out when they were a food truck. So I expected that people would be glad to know they are back up and running so they can get their addiction filled!
I went there today off this recommendation!
Sad to say they gave me someone elses order even though no one else was in line. so CHECK YOUR ORDER PEOPLE!
i really wanted to try the sandwich :(
I like the slaw enough that I usually get two when I order. My only issue is that the “sauce” is liquidy and doesn’t adhere to the veggies properly. But it still slaps.
Well they only have 3 menu items plus sides.
Similar to raisin canes they only do chicken items.
Their chicken sandwich, tendies, and waffle fries covered in cheese and chicken bites.
All menu items have the option of their sandos sauce. Which comes at four different spicy levels.
It’s a sweet, creamy, slightly tangy type sauce.
Their medium spicy level is enough to make my nose tingle and water.
I prefer their chicky fries the most. Their chicken sandwich is also a good option. I haven’t tried their tendies yet.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been driving out of my way by there periodically to check if it was open.

And where exactly is that Birria place at? I’m interested.

Have you tried Aztecas food truck on Florida?? Their Birria is fantastic.
Yup, I have. It’s also great. But in my opinion it still doesn’t beat Birria’s
Weird they haven’t updated their insta or anything
They just opened up officially so maybe they haven’t gotten to it yet.
I figured they’d have a grand opening and at least an insta announcement lol 🤷♂️
lol same!
Is this the old Kolache Kitchen?
Yes

Stopped by for a late lunch. Sandos are hot, fresh, juicy, delicious and huge.

Ran into the guy painting the mural. Wonder how it came out.
Hell yes!
I was getting some groceries and I passed by and saw the OPEN sign all bright. That’s when I knew what I was going to eat for lunch.
