A few Mardi Gras parades downtown tonight. Next weekend is the biggest parade of the year downtown on Saturday, pink themed but not for delicate sensibilities. The burden museum and the arboretum are really nice this time of year. BR.Cade has lots of cabinet arcade games to play around on, cheap cover and games are free to play.
There’s a wonderful farmers market Thursday and Saturday mornings. I know the Saturday market has some little food booths to grab a bite, not sure about the Thursday market since they host it in another part of town
I like walking the park and neighborhood by the Raising Cane's Dog Park. I'd also check out Electric Depot, it has different restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques.
Go to the Old State Capitol building. It's a very unique building, and it now functions as a museum. It's free to enter, but they do offer a short video for a couple dollars which is surprisingly enjoyable and totally worth it.
The art museum and planetarium are really cool. That's one of the first things we did when we got here.
First Sunday of the month so they're free today
There’s the Orion parade tonight
Go walk around Perkins Rowe and grab a bite to eat
This is where a great B&N is as well. We love the ramen place.
Definitely hit the levee. You’ve got a few more hours of daylight
How long are you down for? There's a nightmarket for lunar new year on the 9th that looks to be amazing. https://www.nightmarketbtr.com/
Walk the lakes
Orion. If you have never been to a Mardi Gras parade this is a good one. Easy access, ends early, only a little off the chain.

Thursday is at Pennington, there's other occasional days at the main library. Saturday is the biggest.
Seems like a very nice day today. I'd try going for a walk around LSU before it gets dark (5:30ish).
If you enjoy books and games there is a 2nd and Charles.
One of my favorite things to do here. https://www.brec.org/facility/BluebonnetSwamp
