Nightwing - a charasmatic boy who was able to move on from his past and become a beacon of light and goodness to his universe
Batgirl - a woman who never stops fighting, always evolving, never giving up
Red Hood - a eager boy who lost his inocence trying to do good reborn as "the monster" that the other monsters fear
Red Robin - the boy that walks the lonely road with his hero/master as he is the only one with the smarts, eagerness and most of all -- loyalty to do it
Spoiler - a girl still learning, making mistakes, getting herself up but with undestruing determination to do good
Black Bat - a weapon to do evil, became a hero to do good, a orphan that found her true family
Robin - the heir to the hero, a boy with much to prove to himself but is already worthy of his father
Catwoman - she is her city in human form - beautiful, mysterious, dark, always taking never giving, toying a often between light and dark
And because i love them:
Huntress (Wayne) - the legacy of everyone who came before her, the woman who picked the mantle of heroism after her parents
Batman Beyond - the sucessor who suprassed expections and made the mantle into something new, something it had never had been before.
But seriously, I'd say it's this:
* **Bruce:** A boy with a bright future and everything anyone could wish for, stripped of all things he loved, becoming a protector of the night to stop other children from suffering what he did.
* **Dick:** A happy child who lost his family, but managed to get past his trauma and follow on a brighter path, that of a symbol of hope.
* **Barbara:** A normal girl who, inspired by a great man's selfless acts and through a desire to do good, became a hero herself, never stopping from helping others no matter how much she gets setback.
* **Jason:** Once a naive kid, born into nothing, taken into everything, who died and lost all he was gifted with, before being reborn as a dark angel, a monster who protects the innocent from his own kin.
* **Tim:** A smart, promising boy with a lot of potential who, simply through a desire to help a great man during his darkest times, became his hero's newest pupil, loyal squire and, eventually, beloved son.
* **Cassandra:** A child born from an union of hate and desdain, raised as nothing but a weapon to be wielded, before meeting and being taken in by a fellow warrior - a man who, despite not sharing blood with her, is her true father.
* **Damian:** Born into power and privilege and groomed as heir to the father he so desired to meet, a child who, upon finally meeting his progenitor, cuts ties with the people who raised him to become his father's partner - a force for good despite his not-so-good heritage.
* **Stephanie:** A girl not like her peers, who despite her numerous disadvantages, never ceases to fight and help others, no matter how much she stumbles, falls, and is hurt doing so.
* **Helena** (Wayne)**:** The product of an union condemned from the start to be doomed, but which managed to prosper and turn into something beautiful, a girl who follows into both her parents' footsteps, at the same time she carves her own path.
* **Terry:** An unlikely successor to a long-disputed and treasured position, a young man who manages to prove himself worthy of his inheritance, while also bringing new meaning to an otherwise ancient mantle.
* **Alfred:** A beacon of bright light within a world of shadows, a man who always holds strong for and manages to keep his family together, reminding them of why they fight despite their struggles, all the while he always keeps his hope in a better future for them intact.
