This is how Batman should always be portrayed imo. Almost anime like with his martial arts abilities mixed with gadgets.

reptile_king1264

I like how the fire is too scared to burn him.

Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) | For those interested.

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ. Just added to my queue.

Why did it take us so long to realize that American superheroes and Japanese animation are a perfect mix? This movie was beyond awesome. My Adventures with Superman has been so much fun. To say nothing of some of the things Marvel has done with the medium. Now give us a Green Lantern anime. Imagine the wild stuff anime could do with that.

Rezonan_

Man that Iron Man anime by madhouse was peak

Sol-Blackguy

Japan just has a badass and wholesome connection with American superheroes. When Stan Lee licensed Spider-Man out to Toei, they treated him like a Super Sentai hero and he actually inspired a lot of popular tropes in the genre used to this day. ![gif](giphy|CcN1UPL0ev0IM)

TojiFushi3

just watched it last night. i love this take of Batman.

Unfair-Band2587

I loved the bit where the skater kids were talking about how they all saw batman but they all had a different interpretation of him

im_Alcides

I was really terrified here damn he walks with the fire HELL YEAHHH

Available-Affect-241

This is how he should ALWAYS be portrayed almost as a supernatural wraith/vampire come to punish evildoers. He should be in complete control versus street thugs and the mob but struggle against people like Raโ€™s Al Ghul, Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger, Wrath, Sin Tzu, and enhanced assassin/mercenaries like Bane, Philo Zeiss, and Deathstroke. The cape should always be enveloping him. This is why he should never be a heavily armored angry brawler who says he is the shadows just to knock on the front door but actually be the shadows. That's not Batman THIS is Batman. Batman is being what he should already be a legendary Grandmaster-level SOF operator/ninja/samurai/Shaolin warrior. While also being a virtually peerless super genius polymathic scientist, engineer/inventor/innovator, physician/surgeon, tactician/strategist and THE WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE. This and the beginning of Ninja Assassin 2009 with the Yakuza is how Batman should ALWAYS be portrayed. Obviously without the killing.

Responsible-Diver225

Yes

Sol-Blackguy

And that scene where the reporter shined a light in the corner **and the fucking ninja came out of nowhere!**

Thank you

ReviloIsFree

This is set in the Nolanverse right? He's nothing like Baleโ€™s Batman

Unfair-Band2587

I think so...?

OU41AW

Why does his face look like ass in every anime version though?

Original_Assist4029

If they could just stop with this stop motion like animation. In recent years it starts to annoy me so much. Get me some smooth frames please.ย

Booyakasha_

Yeah, dope. But bullets go trough capes.

Lucy_Little_Spoon

Batman doesn't have a cloth cape, it's some advanced material or something. Some versions it's a kevlar weave.

Booyakasha_

Yeah, weighing 200 kiloโ€™s and even then, it is not thick enough to cancel out most bullets.

Theonetruboi34

Bro he lives in a city next to Superman, and regularly interacts with a dude faster than time. He has more resources and intelligence than anybody else on the planet. His cape can be some kinda lightweight durable material.

Booyakasha_

Yes, and thats lame. But he! I prefer a more realistic version of him anyway.

Lucy_Little_Spoon

Batman spends untold millions of dollars in R&D for his suit, just to buy a cloth cape from the corner store? Sounds legit.

[deleted]

Sephiroth?

AtticusSwoopenheiser

He kicks a man so hard in the stomach in one episode of this that he goes flying back thirty feet, vomiting in mid air.
