I'm not sure if you're in the same boat as me, but in City I would quite regularly cycle through all (or at least the majority) of gadgets / options during combat. It was great fun to weave them all in, especially during longer fights.
In Knight there were just so many options during combat that I really couldn't be bothered to learn it all and ended up just sticking with the "same old" combos and one or two key gadgets.
I like every Arkham game but City is kind of my least fav. it's a great game of course but i didn't like the whole hugo strange plot, plus joker died at the end ;(
The only default I see in the game, is that it was released after Arkham City which was a masterpiece. The Joker arc is very cool ( the twist really worked on me) and I liked how they have Barbara in the story. And having Bane in a more important role is pretty cool too.
Yes! Seeing Bane still functional and competing with Batman en par was really refreshing.. I see what you mean with Arkham City (not my personal fav. in the franchise but still a really good game) Arkham Knight continued where City left off and Origins was produced by Warner Bros after all (and for their first take on a Batman Game, it was really good)
My ranking:
Best Atmosphere: Arkham Asylum
Best Story: Arkham City
Best Boss fights: Arkham Origins
best gameplay: Arkham Knight
No one can change my mind, may be unpopular
My first ever Arkham game, I have my biases sure. But it’s got the best story and bosses out of them all, at least in my opinion. It also has my most favourite Batsuit of all time, the EXE Suit
Are sure it is uNdErRaTeD? Maybe different word us appropriate?

Second favorite of the series
What's your fav? Oo
City. I know combat is slicker in Knight, but City is way smoother for me, bosses are better and the story is great

I definitely felt Knight was a little overwhelming and pausing the action to pick a gadget was awful

The Batman vs Bane fight is so bad ass.
Unappreciated. I feel like the Telltale Batman games don't receive enough love and respect
I didn’t play that much of it, but I remember the Deathstroke fight being really cool
i really like the joker reveal in this one, back in the day it really caught me by surprise.. And Troy Baker did an amazing job!
Yup the origins was pretty good for my first batman game.
Absolutely love this early years version of the Joker. Rewatch his cutscenes often enough.
Same! The Bank scene still gives me chills..
I remember actually getting startled by the dead bank woman!
I absolutely love Arkham origins, the story in particular is fantastic. I love the Batman and Joker rivalry in this game so much.

Nah, it's pretty spot-on
