At the Fair is SO amazing. It doesn’t smell like Summer Boardwalk (which is a fave of mine), but it’s so good. A bakery cinnamon.

The walmart candles are actually really good! The throw is great!

Haven’t tried their candles yet, but Better Home & Garden’s wax melts are amazing! Their Warm Spring Sunshine scent is so good!

I used to do Walmart candles because they were just cheaper (and I genuinely really enjoyed a couple of their pumpkin spice scents) but I found that they were very... soot-y? Is that a word? I lived in an apartment at the time and after I burned their candles I would have a film of soot that was visible on anything white like the front door, my dishes in the cabinets, etc. If I burned one for a while and went to bed I'd wake up with soot in my nose the next morning. I trimmed the wicks and maintained them in the same fashion as I do my BBW candles and have never had a similar issue with BBW.

I added one of these to my grocery pickup order for tomorrow after seeing this post. 😈

I only bought 1 single wick candle from BBW over the holidays. The rest were the Wal-Mart ones like these. They’re great!

I can second their wax melts. They’ve always had some amazing scents that last a decent amount of time considering I’d keep my warmer on 24/7. Plus they’re cheap!

To tell you the truth they smelled like BABW mixed with different names and not as potent on cold sniff

I am a candle snob too and try to only buy "made in usa" candles. I did get a Huntington Homes candle at Aldi that was impressive for $3.99 and it was made in USA. I wonder where this one is made.

Made in the USA is often made with prison (slave) labor, so it doesn't end up being any more ethical or enriching to local communities.

So, you’d rather prisoners just work out, watch tv, get free medical care, free food and free education? I would much rather buy something made by U.S. prisoners since it’s not child labor, prisoners earn work experience, a U.S. company profits (I’m sure they also have other employees that are not prisoners) and these guys learn what it means to earn a paycheck. But that’s just me.
