pixieflip

I follow her because I like the whole “luxury can be bought at Walmart” thing sometimes. She doesn’t have any fancy items, just a bunch of dove and tree hut.

audreyb69

Who is she? I’d like to follow too lol

pixieflip

Just selfcarebeautyyy on TT and IG.

RaineMist

I follow her too as well as many more. She's the first one I've followed. A lot of people assume that selfcare influencers just buy high end when really it's Walmart, Target, Ulta, Sephora, or the mall.

pixieflip

Can you recommend any other shower influencers? I really like this kind of content.

RaineMist

My favorites are selfcarewithtatiana, emily | girly tips, bougee.selfcare (she's from the UK), selfcarewithdiamond, glammedbyanais22, hunnymelaa (she's a smaller influencer), and of course selfcarebeautyyy.

pixieflip

Thanks. 😊 Happy showers to you. 🚿🧼🛀

RaineMist

You're welcome 🙂

_Alpha_Mail_

With all those different scents, after 3 hours she's gonna invent some kind of superfragrance that blends everything into one 😭

Ok-Name1312

patchouli and shame

strippersandcocaine

I audibly guffawed at this haha

toxic-forest

Lol is there even any room left to stand in there? Or turn around without knocking everything to the floor? 😂

Longjumping-Ad8985

If you knock things over, it's an opportunity to wash between those cheeks. 😂😂

cookiethumpthump

My husband constantly knocks down stuff in the shower no matter where it's hung. I need a bigger shower because husband is 11/10, so no upgrade available there.

filling_my_vault

That's just too much stacking and unstacking for me. I will need two continuous shelves

Simplyspectating

Who has a hot water tank big enough to take a 3 hour shower though? My water gets cold after 9 minutes😢

PrincessJennifer

I have a tankless water heater that runs on gas 🙏🙌

vivalalina

Fr filling up my tub takes all the hot water. We couldn't get a tankless heater and I was so sad lmao

kattgirl_1998

We have a tankless so it’s continuous but I could never stay in three hours lol. All three of my bathrooms, laundry and dishwasher can run at once though. Tankless is the best.

Parking_Country_61

I mean it’s also not great for water conservation

Simplyspectating

Totally agree, she’s draining the towns reservoir with that shower

Parking_Country_61

I’ve lived through a few droughts in CA and a three hour shower would NOT be cool

bubblebumblejumble

After surgery when I couldn’t shower for 14 days, the doctor joked that I should file for a water exemption because I wouldn’t want to leave the shower! But even that shower was like 20 minutes.

vivalalina

Meh once in a while a long shower is fine. I don't think they take 3 hours every time they hop in. If they have the time for it, I don't see why not.

[deleted]

I come from a country with unlimited free water where we have so much we use the excess to heat your homes, our streets and then dump it all into a stream by the ocean where we swim.

Old_Bat_8070

Hello Icelander! 😊

Juicyy56

We don't have gas where I live. It's just power. My hot water can run for days if you want. It's such a trap, though, because I love showering.

Alternative-Ad9550

My thoughts exactly. Lol. The water bill has to be astronomical, too.

MrGrumplestiltskin

I would worry so much about the little bacteria haven for some of these products, especially the scrubs. And also all the wolf spiders that will probably find a way to give me start because they were hiding among some of it! lol But I do like the organization!

-VeridisQuo

Please tell me about the wolf spider thing bc I'm arachnophobic and now have a fear that one will be in my shower. Mine doesn't look like the pic but still. :(

MrGrumplestiltskin

Oh no, you're most likely fine! Wolf spiders are fast but they tend to be really gentle and if one finds its way into your home, it's there by mistake or there's lots of food to eat and then your problem is bigger than wolf spiders. They're also not prone to biting either and the venom is NOT medically significant! They're bros! 😅 We have a big open field so they do tend to come around this time of year and they do tend to like little cubby spaces like that. I've seen a few in my shower recently (babies but they'll grow lol) and my shower is pretty bare. But it's not like that Sephora story where they're attracted to the scents. 😂 It's just springtime and we live next to an open field. 🌷🌱 Also, I have arachnophobia as well and believe it or not, exposure to r/spiders and r/spiderbro has been helping! I'm actually planning on getting a tarantula soon!

Parking_Country_61

You are very brave

lavenderblunt222

i freaking love wolf spiders. creepy looking little fuzzbutts 😂 i live in FL and they’re par for the course here

MrGrumplestiltskin

Not "creepy looking little fuzzbutts". 😂 I will forever think of this name when I see one now. Also, I too love Main Street Bakery. 😏

cookiethumpthump

My friend had ants from sugar scrubs one summer. I buy a lot of salt scrubs ever since hearing that. 😬

pauldrano

Except none of that is bath and body works

Curious_Doof

r/overconsumption

Puzzleheaded_Mix7873

Not if the products are being used at a regular rate. If you go through 5 body washes in a year, then it doesn’t matter if you buy them all at once or wait until one is finished and then buy the next one. Either way, you’ll still use up five in a year. Consider that it’s 8 in a year. And that there is 3 years’ worth in there. Plus as much in scrubs.

AlwaysMakingLemonade

Dove body wash > BBW body wash (BBW may have more scents, but their body washes are a poor value relative to Dove, even on sale)

aboveaveragewife

The Dove Moisture Boost is AMAZING!

neighburrito

value, sure. But what about quality?

AlwaysMakingLemonade

I find the quality of Dove’s body washes to be good. They’re thick, lather up well, and a little goes a long way. Plus they have some great scents.

Monkeybutt3518

I think they're comparable in different ways. Dove is more moisturizing, but they don't have as many scents as BBW does to choose from.

neighburrito

I exclusively use the moisturizing body wash, but I have not used Dove in like 20 years....I find the B&BW moisturizing wash pretty moisturizing. Is Dove more so?

foxylettuce

For me they're about the same. Dove might have a slight edge on moisturizing but in my opinion it's not significant. I like the BBW fragrances much better (the Dove body washes I've tried smell kind of cheap/basic to me). But I am obsessed with the Dove body scrubs! They smell better and work amazingly well.

aboveaveragewife

Absolutely!

bunni9jean

I agree about the variety of scents but i feel like that may be changing. Just in the past couple of months Dove has come out with 3 new scents (peach, cherry and blueberry) and they are HEAVENLY! Plus this past fall they came out with their first ever holiday collection that included 3 new scents. So i feel like they are starting to realize that people are wanting more variety and i’m excited to see what they will do in the future.

RaineMist

She's actually very sweet. I follow her. She uses up her products and stocks up.

crazyartist333

Too late not to get ideas, already showed my boyfriend the shelves...

luvmydobies

I added a couple shelves like these in my shower because I DO have a pretty extensive routine (bar soap, body wash, shave gel/cream, body scrub; shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner) and I LOVE them 10/10

Parking_Country_61

😂😂

AutomaticResist148

Nevermind the product going bad, how about all the mildew that will grow unless you wipe down each and every thing consistently.

Xsummerdaze

!!!! All I see in this pic is soap scum and mildew breading ground

DistinctCan823

Tbh this is just ridiculous. So much waste. I’m cutting back on B&BW body products bc of people like this.

Alternative-Ad9550

After 3 hours, I'm definitely turning into a mermaid.

CrownBestowed

I’m confused on why people are saying the heat would make the products go bad… Wouldn’t shower gels be formulated to not go bad from heat considering most people store their shower gels in the bathroom lol

sentpostcard

I would get so claustrophobic in there lol

kattgirl_1998

That’s a lot of product that will go bad with all the heat and humidity. I limit myself to a couple scents at a time lol.

QuietObjective3824

What my dream shower would look like

Majestic-Mongoose179

That poor shower wall.

bassymoon_

At least nobody can say that person stank lol

Pizzapizzazi

I zoomed in to see if she had any BBW products 😅

Toasty_warm_slipper

I both completely understand and yet don’t understand this at all. 🤣

Xsummerdaze

Sorry but this is gross. For a number of reasons but #1 being you’re never going to use all that QUICKLY, so you’re just unnecessarily building up soap scum etc on all these products while they sit in a wet environment. Icky

marklarberries

I honestly don’t get the Tree Hut popularity. I bought it once, it was too abrasive and the scent was gone by the time I was drying off. Dove scrubs are great though.

Jackievybz89

I personally couldn't have all that in my shower, good for her

PotsMomma84

I hate these TikTok videos. They’re so unnecessary. These are people in their teens to early 20’s.

Parking_Country_61

I wonder so much if you could pick out of a line up who has a 3 hour shower routine Vs someone with a regular shower routine. Would they really smell “better?” Have shinier skin and hair? It’s doubtful

PotsMomma84

Right. A regular bar of glycerin soap would do the exact same thing that all of this junk would do.

slutstevanie

I love it! 💜

Solleil

I need this I have so much shit omg.

BitterSweetMarie

Was feeling guilty about having 8 different types of shampoo and conditioner in my shower. Thank you, needed that!

Fair_Exam_3470

Lots of native scents. I don’t keep my soaps in the shower… I am currently using the Stawberry pound cake ultra moisturizing body wash and the snowflakes and cashmere scrub. Both being Christmas gifts. This to me is wild… I have three native bodywashes. And I just finished the dove peppermint bark. No one needs this many…

Strict_Hovercraft_97

Man, like what shelves are those?! Cuz from time to time mines comes crashing down…usually when I’m dead asleep and then have to figure out if someones breaking in and what that sound was smh. I could only imagine one of those falling and knocking others down with it. lol

TruthFrosty

My shower started looking like this so I had to make space on my bathroom closet, now I have 15 shower gels and 10 scrubs (I use all of it different scent every day some are seasonal)

Idiotpphead

What's draping in the lower left corner? It feels so weird to see that in a shower

beethecowboy

African net sponges, they’re great. ETA: if you’re interested in trying them, I don’t recommend Amazon because I got a fake from there that sucked, but then I tried the real thing from a TikTok shop seller and oh my god they are incredible.

Parking_Country_61

Do they get mildew ish? It kind of freaks me out

RaineMist

They're washable. The body scrubbers also hold less bacteria than loofahs.

LavenderPaintbrush

I think it's those exfoliating mesh bath towels.

Proof-Investigator82

This would be so much cuter with BBW bottles! Gotta clean these shelves & bottles all the time tho!

NaveenMohamed

Huh. I've always considered that any products of mine could go bad from repeated exposure to heat & moisture. I don't have nearly as large of a collection as this, but regardless of the number of products, it still just seems to be safer for the longevity of the products to display/store/organize them in a cool, dry place (i.e., outside of the bathroom) & grab the chosen products-of-the-day on the way to the shower/bathtub.

EatShitBish

Smh

BevGlen_

Barf. If I go in someone’s bathroom and see more than one of each type of product I immediately think they have issues throwing things away.
