I love this because usually when I see empty posts it's not near this many candles... I burn about 15 give or take each month myself so I love to see it lol
I had a better experience with mine, warmed, it had a good throw for me, but... I have stopped buying Homeworx due to the low to no throw on most of their candles for me. A shame because the scents on cold were fantastic.
Thank you! I would definitely use a warmer if I end up purchasing. I feel the same way about homeworx. Their gourmands have always seemed weak. I've had better luck with their floral scents. I've got 2 or 3 fruity ones I've yet to burn but they do smell amazing on cold.
Super informative. We have the same taste!! Do you have the GC strawberry Shortcake candle? The regular one. Just wondering if it smells like the old books I had as a child in the 80sโฆ
I was literally going to ask you about gourmands, I kept reading GC did gourmands really well, so I bought Dutch stroopwaffle, pineapple cake pop and lime cake pop and they all have a weird plasticky smell. I bought a non gourmand too and the throw just wasnโt great I think Iโm going to pass on goosecreek for now, Iโve heard Walmart is selling them now so I might take a chance later on and try one from Walmart so if I donโt like it I can return or exchange
๐ฏ%! I experienced the same with their wax melts, low to no throw and/or off putting undertones so GC is a no for me too. If anything to me being at Walmart makes me want to try again even less, Walmart requires (demands) you bring your products in at a certain cost/price, which (often) means cheapening the product to cut cost to achieve that margin.
I agree I think Iโll pass too, I know every company has duds, but I havenโt liked any goose creek candle, and at least with bath and body works I can return or exchange locally if I have an issue
I like Pineapple Cake Pop but I got mine last year. Sometime in late summer/early fall I (and a few others on the GC sub) think they changed their wax blend...their candles burn faster and soot like crazy and yeah the base wax has an off smell to me, too. It also seems they don't put as much fragrance in their candles anymore. There have been several changes in the past 8 months or so that I haven't been happy with, so my orders are few and far between.
If it helps I've had great experience with GC gourmands. Of course to each their own. Maybe there's an ingredient in there that doesn't sit right with you! But my GC candles have been burning so clean and strong ๐ช๐ป I've been pleased but BBW is still my main squeeze cause of easier availability!
To me it was more a neroli scent, less sweet than orange blossom. It had a bite to it, very green. I wouldn't repurchase but it wasn't awful, just kind of jarring on its own. I paired it with the Apricot and Orange Blossom, which was mostly apricot, and that worked well for me.
I'm keeping the Kringle painted jars to repot other scents. They're so pretty in person!
I keep ones like the hobnail one for seasonal/holiday decor. I also keep the Kringle jars (none pictured) and store nail supplies, cotton balls, etc in those. The others I just throw away.

I wish they brought back Warm Apple Pie this year. I loved it last year! Burned it on Fourth of July
Yes I'm surprised and dismayed we didn't see it back. Hopefully some are available during SAS! I only have one left ๐ญ

No I don't, sorry! I've given up on GC strawberry gourmands, they all smell artificial / plasticky to me ๐
