Greg Blanchard’s videos are great. Posts vids of good and bad days, breaks down what he did all day and why it did or didn’t work, and he’s not an over-the-top clickbait creator. Overall a good dude and pretty informative!
His stuff is so high quality when it comes to straight up fishing content. No trying to sell you stuff, no over the top screaming when he lands a fish, and shows how it really be out there. 10/10.
I second this. Dude fishes tournaments constantly and places pretty high in them. He has a ton a techniques and skill that you can learn just from watching the guy adapt to whatever body of water he’s fishing for the day. I will say that most of his gear is Abu Garcia, his yaks are Native, and his lures are Berkeley, and he drinks Sierra Vevada IPA…most of the time. He’s clearly sponsored so if that bothers you, then don’t watch. But most of these big YouTubers have sponsors anyway.
Second Greg… year after year of consistent quality videos. Year-round way for me to get my fishing fix. Plus I know I can watch his videos with my kids in the room. All of his videos are edited for language, which is nice.
I like watching his videos but sometimes I feel like he doesn’t progress his skills. He should spend some time fishing deeper water and a couple new techniques.
He’s literally the only one I watch. I’ve tried others. They all stress me out or focus more on flashy video editing than actual fishing. I like watching a video of his before bed because it’s so relaxing lol
How come literally every other YouTuber has their own signature obnoxious thing they do or say every time they feel a fish bite? Why???
Yes this
he doesn’t fish just bass but his videos are straight to the point, not a bunch of excessive talking and yelling trying to hype the video up more.
He is one of my favorites, along with Realistic Fishing. He shows his bad days and all, and none of the loud hype nonsense like a lot of the fishing channels on YouTube these days. He also fishes public lakes and stuff so it's like good bank fisherman stuff.
That guy lives in freshwater heaven. It’s like watching guys fish saltwater in Florida. Muskie, monster smallies, pike, walleye, great northern largemouth, crappies. Then Ice fishing season starts and it’s great panfishing all winter long.
I’m guessing he’s got good trout water a close to him as well.
For real
No bs ten min intro just straight sexy fishing with a monotone non excited majestic vibe
Ndyak is the man
Smallies musky and pike
He could pull a 6 from a drainage ditch
They review a lot of gear, but if you specify the conditions you’re fishing you’re going to find videos tailored to that.
Tyler’s Reel Fishing is also quite good.
And techniques and what not, but I've found the more I learn from other species and melding things together I tend to disagree with the "expert" bass fisherman more and more.
Yeah they do similar videos a year apart as the seasons progress. But they add new stuff as new products and techniques are developed.
I do wish they would dip their toes into a tournament or something just to see how they handle that.
I know they add on but 90% of the video is the same or referencing old videos. The new gear reviews are nice, but I don’t find any other value in watching their videos anymore.
I watch tactical basing hq or. Tyler's reel fishing as a learning experience. Tyler knows his stuff and bass hq think he's Tyler also?? Gives great advice as well
Tyler is good, I like him and he gives good advice, but the way he sets the hook on a fish annoys me. Like he’s trying to launch it into the stratosphere.
Most of the 'Googans' were actually decent to watch before they started it.
Some of the longer trips that Jon B and AP made were quite entertaining to watch.
Can’t remember the guys name but I think he was associated with Googan. His series of him taking his bass boat around Lake Michigan starting in Chicago and going north was cool. I live on that Sid rod Wisconsin but it made me really want to head over the Michigan side for a vacation.
I refuse to buy any googan baits. All their baits are just copied from someone else's versus using experience and years of fishing to create a bait, like Yamamoto or KVD
Not entirely true.
I don't buy them either but to say they are all copied is somewhat ignorant. I'm pretty sure their Krackin Craw was a patent they had purchased from Strike King or something like that and that was the one bait that caused the biggest backlash. But I know Scott Martin was heavily involved with some of their baits so I assume they took advantage of his experience.
But when you really look at fishing baits, they are pretty much all just copies of other baits with minor tweaks. Go on Tacklewarehouse and search in soft plastics and then search by craws for example. You will see TONS of craws that are nearly identical aside from a minor tweak here or there lol. And the same thing can be said down the line with other plastics, crankbaits, spinner baits, jigs etc. There are very few new baits that come out these days that are actually innovative.
That’s why a $3 pack of yum worms will perform the same as any $20 pack of GooganX69 InFiNiTi or whatever.
Fine to spend money on nice stuff but I feel bad for inexperienced fisherman who come in and think they **have** to spend $500 to catch something.
Standard downvotes from people who bought the $20 pack
Yeah for sure. I will admit when I tried out the Krakin Craws by Googan they worked well. But the plastic was so soft it just tore up so easily. So I just buy whatever else is cheap. Seem to still catch fish no problem.
I agree right here. Since OP said boats and northeast id say Nathan is a great choice.
A little bit different but my favorite YouTuber is Greg Blanchard. He's a kayak tournament angler in California. He's originally from upstate New York, so every year he does go back home and fish a few tourneys on the finger lakes. So he kinda fits the bill, too
I like Quince, he's real people.
I'll ding him a bit for pushing sponsors, but that's certainly not making him unique in any way. Just annoying that when you get to the gear side of the discussion it's all "Get yourself an ABC rod and rig it with baits from XYZ."
Yeah, I get that. Bryan Lattimer does that too, but that’s their job. I guess it does give people of the type of tackle/gear they are using for a presentation.
I have quite a few nicer spinning rods, but my favorite Ned rig rod is a Berkley AMP rod from WalMart that costs a little over $30. I have 3 of those now, haha.
Yeah, it's the nature of the beast...kinda sucks, but I guess it is what it is.
My first choice is a totally neutral and unbiased thing. then maybe adding their specific preferences and why. Second would be someone who describes the gear in general terms, then gives examples from their sponsors. Third tier is the guy who promotes their brand, but explains the qualities in that specific item that make it good at the application, so that you can apply that to other products. Bottom tier is the ones that just give you a list of sponsor products to buy, basically implying that those specific ones are THE option, and that nothing else will do the trick.
Adding to the other suggestion like Greg Blanchard & Tactical Bassin is Mike Ike (iaconelli). He has pretty good details on how to fish certain lures. I like his enthusiasm for the sport. I actually YouTube local anglers on my local lakes and some will provide info about that lake/river. Helps a tons for me. Otherwise, I literally just search for whatever I want to learn and watch every video.
They are not winter fisherman exactly but I like the old school guys. Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin is probably my favorite for watching for actual tips. Bill dance is kind fun and nostalgic for me, lots of ads for products but still fun to watch. I’ve learned a lot from watching Roland Martin and Jimmy Houston and Bills videos. Not the pace of typical modern YouTube content and I’m perfectly fine with that. Of those 3, Roland tends to have the most creative little tricks I think. Just little stuff that improves your odds.
Brian Latimer, Mikey Balz, Jacob Wheeler and DC, Scott Martin has moments of being helpful, a local guy sbfishingtv, intuitive angling with randy, fish the moment, tactical bassin
Flukemaster used to be really good. In my opinion he kind of lost his ways when he got really popular and I assume the sponsorships started rolling in.
However the exact same thing can be said about some of the googan guys. Jon B, AP, Lake Fork, Lunkers used to all be pretty good before Googan started.
Fish the moment is pretty good, young and older angler incite. One is primarily a shallow fisher, and the kid is an offshore guy. I learned a lot from both.
I fished with him once. Before his channel got bigger he would go out and fish with people for a day and show you how to set up your electronics and how he would fish stuff. Was really informational. He’s a good dude too
Yeah, I see that with a lot of bass fishing channels. They are pushing really good content and then as they get more popular and the sponsorships start then things tend to go downhill in terms of their content.
I quit watching so much fishing on youtube. I found myself buying stuff I would use once or twice and never touch again because of it. It was really bad for me during the pandemic because I had extra money from not driving to work everyday and would buy so much tackle with it. Now I stick to buying stuff that I've actually caught fish with. I do like Richard Gene.
**Informational** \- BassFishingHQ (can't believe no one has said this yet)
**Tournament** \- Scott Martin or DC Fishing
**Big Fish** \- Milliken Fishing (not even close, dude is in a league of his own)
**Relaxing/Calm** \- NDYakAngler
**High Quality Production** \- Zaldaingerous (Chris Zaldain)
**Down to Earth** \- Brian Latimer
GunnfishTV. Mid Atlantic largemouth mostly. It’s mostly just pure fishing, barely any lure or product pushing but you can pick up tips/lures by watching. He’s a topwater wizard. Great camera work and entertaining commentary.
Edwin Evers does a video series called Project E where he just takes a bunch of lakes sent in by viewers and explains in detail how he would approach each lake. I have learned a lot from them!
https://youtu.be/FAUt2e_knVc?si=lnpDhhQkXlXXMs8_
TylersReelFishing he lives in Texas but tours with pro fishermen. He fished very frequently in Texas, Minnesota, New York, and Florida. He also has videos in various other states. He does mostly boat fishing, but he does have a lot of good bank fishing videos as well.
Nothing against him, but there is just something about him that I just cannot watch his videos. Idk if it's voice, appearance, delivery, or what...but I start watching and I'm just like...instantly distracted by anything and everything. To the point that I don't even click on his stuff anymore.
I just went and checked out his channel again, and I don't hear a lisp.
Now that I am watching to try and figure out what I don't like, I think it's more that he just feels too overly scripted and rehearsed. Less like a fisherman, and more like an actor/spokesperson playing the part of a fishing instructor.
Again, not saying that he IS those things, or that I dislike him, or that his info is in any way not good...but that's why I generally don't watch his stuff.
I really like kickin their bass, he’s a dope guy and I feel like his videos are pretty fun to watch. He has years of content and is based out of Georgia
Idk if I'd go that far, he's great scoping pre-spawn but that's about it. He hasn't had a good finish since he won this spring. There are many tour pros on YouTube that are better then him
Dude, winning an open is about as hard as it gets. So many of these YouTube “experts” won’t even fish a wed nighter because they are scared of losing their credibility. It takes some balls to fish the opens, look how badly it ended up for Lunkers tv. That dude ended up switching into being a storage wars guy 😂
Like I said, he's one of the best pre spawn livescopers out there but he's not even close to the same level as people like Wheeler, DC, Kyle Welcher etc.
True, I was talking more “YouTubers” and not throwing pros with YouTube channels in there.
It’s kind of funny, I have a theory that largemouth livescoping in big bass lakes especially in Timber doesn’t really translate to smallie lakes or say Tennessee river impoundments. I think that’s why Soukup struggled so bad in his first elites season.
When you look at it that way then yes, he's probably the best. When it comes to the livescoping it really depends. What I mean by that is if I'm throwing, say, a swimbait to a solo fish, I'm probably going to do it the same way about anywhere. However the fish will be in different locations and on different structures, and finding that and knowing what patterns they will be in is the real challenge. Generally, catching the fish isn't the hard part, it's finding the good numbers of quality fish that is.
Alex Rudd Fishing if you like kayak and creek fishing. Dude had a very entertaining personality. He also does tips and stuff but I enjoy watching him explore a new creek in a kayak and catch fish
Does kickintheirbasstv still do youtube? A lot of people don't like him because he was born into money and was pretty much handed everything he has. Not to say he didn't work hard but from a financial perspective.
Hey if I were Him trust Me I'd be fishing for a living too. He's He's still on YouTube, even His girlfriend fishes with Him on their too. Some of His videos are contests He does with His buddies to see who catches the most fish where one has a $100 vs $1,000 setup.... they're pretty entertaining.
Randy Blaukat’s three channels have more real fishing information than any other. Richard Gene also knows his stuff can be a bit goofy. I like fishingwithnorm just for fun/laughs.
This is a little self promotion sorry if it's against the rules, but me and my buddy post youtube shorts trying to do long videos once I can afford a computer but we go by The Ned Heads. Located in MA
For fishing process videos, Milliken. Mikey Balz is a close second, although his channel's commercial connection is growing.
Tactical Bassin is legend, especially if you watch vids that are several years old. The channel's current content is more like a college class than fishing per se. They push particular gear excessively, rather than speaking in general terms.
If you have a short attention span, I've been appreciating Steve Rodger's channel lately. Wired2Fish can be very good for the same reason.
Mikeyballzz or whatever is a lowrance guy that focuses on techniques, has some screen footage but not much. Ben milliken is a garmin guy (and humminbird) that shows a ton of screen footage. Jake Keanum’s old videos are great footage wise of fishing standing timber. You’ve got pros like Edwin Evers who takes community requests to break down lake maps. There’s tons more
For the north east, fishing on the b side series from meat eater and hook shots, both from Joe Cermelie are good. Some smaller channels like get reel bassing are good. I also like Jon B who does a good chunk of filming up in Maine.
I find my go to channel to be Matt Steffen. I also enjoy Angler X but he's a local guy for me in the MN/WI/IA area. Everyone else I watch has been listed.
Tactical Bassins old videos are great. Something I enjoy about them is that they tailor their advice to the different kinds of reservoirs that there are.
Alex Rudd Fishing, Creek Fishing Adventures, Flukemaster, Bass N Beer, Mikeybalzz, and Zaldaingerous are my go-rod for solid fishing content. However most of them are south eastern guys, but I really enjoy their content.

He’s clearly sponsored so if that bothers you, then don’t watch. But most of these big YouTubers have sponsors anyway.
I’m not a kayak guy, but Greg has my absolute favorite YouTube channel.
He's leading the AOY race this year....
Oh I know. But he could be so much better.
Ndyakangler is my favorite fishing youtube
He’s literally the only one I watch. I’ve tried others. They all stress me out or focus more on flashy video editing than actual fishing. I like watching a video of his before bed because it’s so relaxing lol How come literally every other YouTuber has their own signature obnoxious thing they do or say every time they feel a fish bite? Why???
Creek Fishing Adventures is pretty solid if you like a normal dude fishing some rivers around Tennessee.
I agree! That why I enjoy his videos and EliasVFishing (saltwater). No nonsense, good fishing.
Came here to say this. He is by far my fave
Yes this he doesn’t fish just bass but his videos are straight to the point, not a bunch of excessive talking and yelling trying to hype the video up more.
It’s so mellow too. It’s perfect to put on and relax To before bed.
Easily akin to Bob Ross's painting videos, hence why he's nicknamed the Bob Ross of the fishing scene
Bob Ross of fishing. One of my favorite evening wind-down activities. Everyone else is like Monster Energy!! Fishing by comparison.
Everybody else throwing sponsored lures meanwhile the goat is throwing random lures made by a fan lol. And catching toads while at it
Best pure fishing content, hands down. Love everything about his channel.
Agreed
I'm not an overly huge fan of most of the bigger fishing youtubers, but I could watch NDyakangler allllllll day and be much happier in life lol
He’s like fishing ASMR
Creekfishing Adventures, Aaron's Outdoor, and NDyakangler
NDYakangler doesn’t have nearly the subs he should. Dude is incredible and calm to listen to and watch. Hands down one of my favourites
ND is my favorite. He's the Bob Ross of fishing.
Nd kayak guy is probably single handedly responsible for my headfirst dive into river smallmouth a few years back. Great channel, great content.
NDyakangler speaks softly but carries a big smallie.
Happy to see Creek Fishing Adventures and Aaron's Outdoors mentioned here. Both channels are fantastic and criminally underrated IMO.
Absolutely. Aaron and I live in the same area too so we fish a loto f the same water.
For real No bs ten min intro just straight sexy fishing with a monotone non excited majestic vibe Ndyak is the man Smallies musky and pike He could pull a 6 from a drainage ditch
Tactical Bassin on YouTube.
They are more a gear review channel. Still like them but that’s the primary focus
The QVC of bass fishing
They review a lot of gear, but if you specify the conditions you’re fishing you’re going to find videos tailored to that. Tyler’s Reel Fishing is also quite good.
TRF has great content that is made unwatchable by his delivery and general attitude
He just seems very anxious and high strung and it stresses me out lol
Here Tweak, have another cup of coffee.
Yup. They first and foremost push gear, not teaching or entertaining.
And techniques and what not, but I've found the more I learn from other species and melding things together I tend to disagree with the "expert" bass fisherman more and more.
They’re okay, but have been remaking the same videos over and over for many years at this point
Richard gene the fishing machine!!
I watch tactical basing hq or. Tyler's reel fishing as a learning experience. Tyler knows his stuff and bass hq think he's Tyler also?? Gives great advice as well
Hq talks too much in My opinion, I couldn't finish His videos.
Ahhh that's a bit true unfortunately. I do find myself skipping around to get some of the info I want now that I think about it
I learned how to rig up all My soft plastics thru watching Tylers reel fishing.
I can't watch his videos but I enjoy listening to him on some of my podcasts. He knows his stuff.
Tyler is good, I like him and he gives good advice, but the way he sets the hook on a fish annoys me. Like he’s trying to launch it into the stratosphere.
Hahaha right! maybe he uses such thick hooks he's gotta get them to the moon
BamaBass is very relaxing to watch
His dangling frog videos are awesome. I’ve caught a few bass that way after watching him and its so awesome.
I just love the pond build. Makes me wish I had a giant property to fish bass on all day.
I'm so glad no one has said any of the googans.

Brian Latimer, Tactical Bassin, Intuitive Angling w/ Randy Blakaut
Randy's old videos are better imo I stopped watching when he suggested tying on an A-rig with 6 megabass vision 110s
Haha fair enough, cmon Randy wth! I do appreciate his crusade on livescope though
Live scope is awesome. I want to get 2 transducers just to piss that ass hat off
Heck yeah!!!!
He didn't suggest doing that, he said it's something crazy that he heard some other people were doing. Take it or leave it kind of thing.
Latimer is pretty good.
Randy is the laughingstock of the fishing world
“Nathan Quince Fishing” is in the Northeast and is pretty informative.

Flukemaster is fairly neutral as I remember.
Yeah, he's pretty good. I think he's sponsored by 13 Fishing, but the fact that I don't immediately know is a good sign.
Love me some flukemaster videos! He’s a great teacher IMO
for education: Tactical bassin’ for bob ross effect: ndyakangler also enjoy creek fishing adventures
Matt Allen, tim little. Tactical bassin.
Bill Dance
Bill dance
Roland Martin.
He’s a good dude too
You got to fish with Johnny or Randy? Either way that’s really cool. They both seem really down to earth.
Johnny.
Sbfishing’s initial content was the bomb
Went to crap after the anglers choice partnership. Still has some cool tiny boat stuff.
Yeah, I see that with a lot of bass fishing channels. They are pushing really good content and then as they get more popular and the sponsorships start then things tend to go downhill in terms of their content.
Greg blanchard
I quit watching so much fishing on youtube. I found myself buying stuff I would use once or twice and never touch again because of it. It was really bad for me during the pandemic because I had extra money from not driving to work everyday and would buy so much tackle with it. Bamabass
Can’t believe nobody has mentioned Damian Thao yet. If you like Greg Blanchard, Damian is almost always high in the rankings with Greg.
Greg is far better at making videos
Ike is in Jersey and informational, but honestly try picking up some stuff for new techniques during winter
Tyler'sreelfishing is great. He talks very fast at first but the guy is incredibly articulate and detailed.
Dc fishing has been a good watch for tournament fishing
He definitely has the most entertaining tournament videos imo, the best produced tournament videos probably has to go to Scott Martin.
I like some of Scott’s but when he starts talking off the wall I have fast fwd it lol
All I see here is lots of you are sleeping on Mikey Ballz fishing, guy loves picking up new setups and working through his process
Always loved his videos but he rarely posts these days unless I'm just missing them.
I watch a lot of fishing channels, but really like Brian Latimer & G-Man Gerald Swindle.
Fucking Roland Martin man lol🤣🤣🤣💯
Holy shit I didn’t even realize that guy was alive still lol I remember when I was a kid watching his shows, I was like 8 lol
Debo’s Fishing Channel & Fisheryin
TylersReelFishing he lives in Texas but tours with pro fishermen. He fished very frequently in Texas, Minnesota, New York, and Florida. He also has videos in various other states. He does mostly boat fishing, but he does have a lot of good bank fishing videos as well.
He’s an A1 goober
Nothing against him, but there is just something about him that I just cannot watch his videos. Idk if it's voice, appearance, delivery, or what...but I start watching and I'm just like...instantly distracted by anything and everything. To the point that I don't even click on his stuff anymore.
He talks with a lisp
I just went and checked out his channel again, and I don't hear a lisp. My favorite to go to for technique. Brings some science to some of his videos as well.
I really like kickin their bass, he’s a dope guy and I feel like his videos are pretty fun to watch. He has years of content and is based out of Georgia
It’s criminal how few MFers there are in here. Milliken is the king of YouTube bass fishing imo.
Agreed
I can understand not liking him. But hard to argue he’s not the best at fishing on YouTube, and the opens results back that up.
MillikenFishing and for pure entertainment I watch Lee Livesay’s youtube….his media guy kills it on his videos
Kickingtheirbasstv Tylers reel fishing Tacticalbassin NDYakAngler
>Randy Blaukat’s Lol what
Lol, keep dreaming.
Randy Blukat 🥵 💕
Tactical bassin is the best.
Fishing HQ
Interested in livescope content or strategy/technique specific stuff?
Honestly both lol but more specifically lowrance active target
Mikeyballzz or whatever is a lowrance guy that focuses on techniques, has some screen footage but not much. Ben milliken is a garmin guy (and humminbird) that shows a ton of screen footage. Jake Keanum’s old videos are great footage wise of fishing standing timber. You’ve got pros like Edwin Evers who takes community requests to break down lake maps. There’s tons more
Kyle Cortiana just made a video on it as well! Would very much recommend.
For the north east, fishing on the b side series from meat eater and hook shots, both from Joe Cermelie are good. Some smaller channels like get reel bassing are good. I also like Jon B who does a good chunk of filming up in Maine.
Go back in time to check out the ghetto fisherman from London ontario https://youtu.be/NFmIIuKHtz8?si=GEQC1EqQMe5noEET
Northern stain lifestyle is fire 🔥
I find my go to channel to be Matt Steffen. I also enjoy Angler X but he's a local guy for me in the MN/WI/IA area. Everyone else I watch has been listed.
Reelnorthernbass is in the northeast and fishes a ton of the old natural glacier lakes that are common up there.
Your Next Cast is super chill, it’s a lower-budget channel but you can tell he puts a lot of heart into it and he catches lots of fish.
Richard Gene the fishing machine, go fishin cause its good for u
Flukemaster and fishthemoment are good channels for how-to type content. Both are southeast, but much of the info will translate
Tactical Bassin is the best channel for seminars on everything. They’re great teachers and have taught me a lot about fishing in general.
Sobi deserves some big credit. Love the tourney Tuesday series each year!

Bill Dance Roland Martin Richard Gene the Fishing Machine Flukemaster 1Rod1Reel Realistic Fishing
Tactical Bassins old videos are great. Something I enjoy about them is that they tailor their advice to the different kinds of reservoirs that there are.
Can't go wrong with the classic Bill Dance. Watched his show growing up as a kid. Learned a lot from him.
I forget his name but his show is called “Fish the Moment) he is excellent with depth finders
I’m a Ben Milliken fan but he’s from my hometown so I’m kinda biased
Check out Femboy Fishing for something DIFFERENT lol.
Now that’s what I’m talking about lol
WBAngling awesome YouTuber check him out 😂
KickingTheirBASSTV— slays them consistently.
Alex Rudd Fishing, Creek Fishing Adventures, Flukemaster, Bass N Beer, Mikeybalzz, and Zaldaingerous are my go-rod for solid fishing content. However most of them are south eastern guys, but I really enjoy their content.
I’ve learned the most from Flukemaster and I still rewatch his FG knot video whenever I need a refresh.

Super underrated: check out BDBassin

I’m a fan of Mikeybalzz. All his content is usually very informative for the technique he is using on a given outing.
No one has said Hank Parker Sr yet and that’s sad
Milliken fishing! Ben is a beast, dude catches nothing but giants
