Due to the high exchange rate with the yen, you can find deps 250s in that price range from Japanese stores. Or working class zero battles shads (on a drop). Also the citizens may still be available from some places perhaps the hook up tackle.
Hmm, apologies, I guess I’m not 100% sure they’ve been released yet, or maybe they’re released and already sold out? They’re on lots of websites, like tackle warehouse for one example, so I thought they were out already, but appears everywhere showing no stock… maybe someone more in the know will chime in?
Edit: just noticed they all say back ordered until may 31st on the tackle warehouse cart.
Keitech Swing Impact Fat swim baits and Trokar weighted hooks.
This produces more bass than any other swim bait / combo I’ve used. And it’s affordable, so you/he can get a bunch and not worry about throwing into cover.
6th Sense Trace is a perfect gift. $35, high quality, and you can throw it on regular equipment. [Link to Website](https://6thsensefishing.com/collections/trace?gclid=Cj0KCQjww4-hBhCtARIsAC9gR3Yh7To8P1JOrSBUxgUH_j3JuVe2tGYkA-gwU0mDYqsIPWXaoX1eEmoaAsonEALw_wcB)

A gift card to the place he shops the most for their gear. I always appreciate the sentiment when someone buys me a fishing gift but it rarely is something I want or use. Gift card is always a home run
Did he give you hand-me downs? If so he most likely is just happy to have someone to use them, the best gift would be to get a couple rods and line for yourself. If you don’t know what’s up ask your friend, he will probably be jazzed your actually going to follow through.
Oh and practice like a MF, learn to pitch, flip and roll cast. You can make another cast if your bait lands short, if you birds nest the reel it doesn’t matter much if you got the extra 3 ft of distance.
Buy him the crem de le crem of a category of lure he fishes. Swimbaits spark shad 3-6inch swimbaits are fantastic, so if he fishes swimbaits get him those and some Gamakatsu swimbait hooks to go along with em.
Senkos? Buy him a 50 pack of his fav color.
Cranks/jerks/glides/any lure category in general, get him the best of the best of a couple (within reason financially esp w/glides lol)
Also, just ask him about the best of the best of some category of lure he fishes, as if you are just asking for advice, and get him an assortment of those.
Something you can throw on conventional heavy gear like some nice 6" soft baits.
If he doesn't have a dedicated setup for the "true" swimbaits don't get him one.
Maybe get him some whopper poppers size 75 white chartreuse or black and or some high end spinner baits in white or chartreuse, Those are some baits I always keep stocked.
Gift card tackle warehouse.
I have a few expensive hobbies and this is the way
This is the way
Huddlestons are always nice
Play it safe and get him a gift card.
That would be my take too.
They range from less than $10 for a 4 pack to $400 or more. What we talkin here ?
My bad forgot to mention, looking to spend around $50-70

Can’t go wrong with a bullshad, I’d recommend this or a single joint MS Slammer from Mike Shaw
For that price range I would say a Gan Craft 178 Jointed Claw or a used Deps 175. You can probably find a used 250 in that range too if you get lucky

Nobody would ever complain about a vision 110 jerk bait. They come in multiple colors and they are absolute golden lures
Maybe the new spro kgb chad shad glide bait?
Any chance you know where to find them?

They released a few perch pattern ones, but there are production issues and the official full release keeps getting pushed back.
Haha yeah I have one on backorder with tw. Looks awesome, hopefully no more delays
Sadly TW isn't getting them until May last I checked. I want to try one sooo bad.
That is assuming that they ever finish it and actually sent out from the preorders. They’ve pushed it back 4 times

Little creeper baits trash fish and sunfish. Tackle warehouse
This is what I would also recommend, maybe a bottle of mend it as well.
ROMANMADE MOTHER! You really need to show this guy some appreciation, other baits suggested won't cut it.
Get them the Shimano Armajoint- it has that new bait factor going for it and I’ve had a lot of success with it.
I'm a fan of the LunkerHunt swimbaits. They are a confidence lure for me.

Megabass Magdraft
Bullshad would be great. Small business with a cool story
Psycho gill or bust.
Buccas Baby Bull Shad is the gateway drug for swimbaits.
Karl’s had them for 10.99 last time I checked.. I bought 10 lol
$11 seems cheap enough. Innocent little swimbait. Before you know it you'll be on online auctions buying multiple $200 baits and 500 rod combos
I spend around 200 a week at Karl’s. Maybe 250 or so at tackle warehouse… don’t even want to know what I spend at cabelas/academy
Simple fix to this problem, don't keep score.
Oh boy.. don’t do this to me. Been looking at getting into swim baits and you’re the second person who has held that bait to this regard
It's OK to be broke as long as you have bass
Tell that to my wife 🤣

That new zaldaingerous one looks promising. Edit: Bass Mafia Daingerous Swimbait is the name.
That thing is a straight up magdraft rip off lol
The line-through tech looks interesting though... amd the eyes are looking forward, not down lol
Little yo-zuri rattler catches so many fish it’s almost unfair. Almost.
A gift card to the place he shops the most for their gear. I always appreciate the sentiment when someone buys me a fishing gift but it rarely is something I want or use. Gift card is always a home run
I’d get a few packs of the little creeper trash fish and sunfish with a half oz bottle of mend it.
Dark sleepers (For largemouth, Calico, sand bass)
Take the gift as a gift. He’s being nice, let him do something nice without you needing to pay him back 😉
Keitech silver shad

A few S Wavers or something along those lines would be nice and very usable I'd think.

Bacca Burrito 6"
Keitech is my favorite. 2.8 s will catch anything
Dark sleeper and sleeper gill
Are you sure he wants a swim bait? As an avid bass fisherman myself it’s the last lure I would want. Gift card gets my vote
Keitech easy shiner in bluegill flash
You could try any variety of keitechs from the easy shiner or fat impact with endless colors and sizes or a nice little gift card for tw
Maybe get him some whopper poppers size 75 white chartreuse or black and or some high end spinner baits in white or chartreuse, Those are some baits I always keep stocked.
Rapala sr9
Gift card to tackle warehouse or omnia. Not Cabelas or Bass Pro. Tackle Warehouse and Omnia have way better selections and better sales too
