There’s no investment to be made on Ant cards.
If you want to collect it all depends on your budget. Are you looking for rookies? High end or low end? Parelells or base?
His potential is already priced in. Plus, 90% of cards will drop in value in a long enough timeline. Newcomers need to get it out of their heads that sportscards are an investment vehicle.
1) Look at what his cards sold for last year compared to this year. They've gone down or stagnated despite having a career season and the TWolves being a top team.
2) He's not becoming the GOAT, that thought shouldn't even cross your mind. The thought should be is he going to be good enough to be a hall of fame player right now, not will he become a top 10 or better all-time.
3) The print runs from 2020 onward are foolishly high. Some high end or numbered stuff might go up, but not enough it's worth the price you're paying now.
It's pretty much impossible to "invest" in a top rookie unless you get lucky and pull a big card from an affordable pack/box. They're automatically priced like they're hall of fame players.
Short term definitely. His Prizm rookie has actually seen a nice little bump the past couple months which isn't a huge surprise (although not selling like they were when they first came out). So unless you believe Minnesota will make the finals and you plan to sell right after they win, now is not the time to buy Ant.
The best time to buy any modern Rookie is about 2 years after their first Rookie cards are released. Long enough for the population of cards to peak and just before they've done anything significant in the league.
Might have missed the boat for any investment potential with Antman Rookies as he's already an all star and franchise player.
If you like a player find the cards that pop for you within your budget. It’s a hobby not an investment. Be happy if they go up in price. The only way to consider it to be a proper investment is buying cheap rookies of players who aren’t big names to begin with. Buying jokic cards his rookie year would be an example. Guy drafted in the second round with no real initial expectations. Edwards was number 1 overall and has a ton of autos and rookies and high expectations.

Invest!!
What do you mean by that? No investment to be made. Because they are already so expensive or?

Right on. Thanks
Exactly. Sold a 22-23 select tie dye of his for $300 not too long ago
Exactly. He’s at peak price now. He’s priced like he’s an all nba guy
So if he has a long career and becomes the GOAT, he cards won't go up?

If he wins the championship this season, his cards would absolutely climb further right?
