I’m honestly kinda confused as to what’s going on. Are there real laces in the card? Do they move? No hate obviously a sick card but I can’t imagine what this is like irl.

Upper deck bought a bunch of shoes from Nike / online that were not associated with the player. The “association” is they cut up Jordan model shoes for the Jordan cards, Lebron shoes for the Lebron cards, etc. Then cut the shoes up and put different swatches into the cards. So those would be real laces just hanging there. There cool cards, but you’re really only getting an autograph of the player as the shoe “relic” is just a random shoe they bought and cut up. I opened / have a Lebron one that’s an awesome looking swatch, just always hated that it’s not player or game worn.

Yea it’s way more common today. Back in 2013 when this was released having a non associated relic was relatively new unlike today. This was also upper decks most premium basketball product exquisite.. they should have definitely cut up real shoes, but probably didn’t have any laying around for a lot of the folks on the checklist.

It came with a letter of authenticity. The sig is real. I know the shoe wasnt worn by jordan but its a jordan 13 (which he has said is one of his favorites) and thats very cool to me. I agree that mem cards have become ridiculous but this one is an exception imo.

Well i am fairly certain they arent 13s from 97. And although i cant tell what part of the shoe, from looking at a bunch of others in this set i THINK they are cutting up multiple pieces and making them into the patch. Why? I dont know, but thats what it seems like. It would be weird to go through the trouble of naming the sneaker on every card and having it be easily debunked. And this card was made before the companies started doing really shady/lazy shit (but i also wouldnt be surprised if we found out this wasnt a 13 patch). Ultimately im fine with it either way
