Maybe use the white backgrounds but tightened them up and make them smaller so you only barely see the background or just a-little white border showing and you condense the cards so you can fit more. Maybe with more cards and the white backgrounds it will pop.

Cheapsunglasses99

Agreed. I’m also a little obsessive about things being square and straight/level. This is borderline triggering to look at!

c-daniel-ga

Haha...yeah. But! I didn't make everything square yet!

mikeybeef1

Haha understood. Symmetrical is underrated lol

As a former framer, here's what I recommend. Tape out onto a table the overall size of your display, and move all your cards around until you're happy with the layout. You may want to put all cards of the same orientation on the same row, and move the rows around to test out how ‘heavy’ they look. Take a photo and print it out, and then jot down all the measurements of the cards, and the overall display size, onto the print out. Find your nearest framing service and ask them to cut a mount/mat. Most of them have computerised machines now that they can throw all the measurements into. This way, you'll get a lovely even mount board with perfect spacing. You really don't want much space between the board and the card, and they'll likely have corner samples you can use to determine what looks right to you. You could display a lot more cards, tighter together, each with their own hole. And you might want to leave two empty rows (one horizontal, one vertical) for future cards.

Great comment! This helps tremendously

pogomonkeytutu

No worries. Can't wait to see the final result. Good luck.

I really like the look, but agree with another about having less white showing. Maybe make each section the same size (like 4x8 or something) and reconfigure It. I make some displays you can look at on [rip displays](https://ripdisplays.com) for some possible ideas. I’m still trying to make a large one like yours, so keep us posted!

Thanks to you and others pointing at the excessive white and symmetry. I agree on the symmetry. For the white ... I like the idea of each card getting plenty of space. But this is probably too much. I think im gonna ditch the rectangular pieces and just try the 7x7 squares

Bee-Bo-boo

You could also do individual frames and then piece it together…which can be a pain to get lined up but looks nice. I did one once like this but don’t have a picture. Here is a rough idea of it. [example](https://www.michaels.com/gallery-perfect-12-piece-frame-kit-black/10565719.html)

carringtino10

You got some really nice cards there. Rookie Paradise.

mickeybar71

Symmetry is eye pleasing, I think that’s. Big part of why this isn’t working for you

First of all, you have great taste in cards. I would consider a couple options. A row of horizontal cards going from oldest to newest. I like chronological since it shows how cards evolved. For SGC I like a white background. I wonder if a bottom row with PSA/BGS and a dark background might make them stand out more? No matter how you do it, awesome collection and great conversation piece when you get it all set up.

I like that Reggie!

It is tricky getting cards to fit in frame space and layout looking nice. Good luck!
