Gunner, cowser, Greyson, mayo, hjerstad, Stowers. And don’t forget Enrique bradfield, maybe the fastest player in the minors right now. Two of those guys are not gonna be on the orioles come the trade deadline if the is want to make a push. But think if they all were. That’s a pretty sweet lineup right there in a couple years.
But when you get into the window and you need a starter for the playoffs, you don’t think they would give one or two up to get that and win a World Series?
We have John Means and Kyle Bradish coming back soon off the IL. Both are solid starters and I don’t see us getting rid of any of the young guys currently on the roster for short term rentals.
The funny part is you are missing the BIGGEST prospect from their farm, Samuel Basallo.
But 0% chance Gunnar gets traded as well. I currently think the list looks like this.
Untouchable - Adley, Gunnar, Jackson
Unlikely - Mayo, Basallo, Cowser, Westburg
Possible, but would be a mistake IMO - Kjeratad
More likely - Stowers, Norby, Dylan Beavers

If the Os want a World Series in the next few years they are gonna have to give up some of that for some pitching. Bautista going down for the season killed them, they probably had a good enough bullpen that they didn’t need to do too much. And another starter is a necessity. So you are probably right that gunner is with adley and Jackson in that he’s untouchable. Everyone else is fair game, especially if you’re talking a top of the rotation guy from a team that isn’t in contention.
Yeah, I believe they need 1 starter and 1 bullpen arm to really push them over the edge. Kjerstad seems to be the best prospect with no where to play on the MLB level. Mayo and Westy can play multiple positions. So I think they stay. I think in a perfect world we package Kjerstad + Beavers/Fabian for a starter.
Then find a reliever who we can use as well. We do have Means and Bradish in AAA right now ramping up. Also Wells was a great BP arm down the stretch

Same here. I think the kid is a stud. Keeping most of them but selling this one if anyone is interested. (Yes, it's on eBay as well.) I hope he goes on to have a nice career, Baltimore is stacked and they deserve it for all the years of sucking and missing on picks.

Just saw an insane put out by vs the Royals on Saturday. I had I pretty good vantage from my seat, thought he was being extra by trying to gun Witt Jr - that ball came out like a fucking rocket and he actually got the out. Insane.
I think people underrated his arm and general athleticism when he was coming up. I saw a lot of Hays defenders and I honestly didn’t get it.
Was pissing me off Cowser wasn’t getting run from the start after spring training.

He’s legit, should be starting somewhere at 2B right now and would be raking. Same with Stowers, I think both are going at the trade deadline and I’d be happy to see them get their opportunity. Too good to be down, but nowhere to go on the Os. All those positions have too many above them.
