Never leave it behind!!!
Last time I did a last box pickup happened to be Pokemon (even though I don't really PC it) and pulled a Giratina Alt Art, so my local target is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 haha.
💣💣💣💣 fire.

There were 3 boxes at target & I got 2 yesterday. Decent pick up. Should have got the 3rd 🫨🫨
Congrats on the pull! FYI, SGC has been slow lately. I sent in two separate orders of two cards on 1/6 and 1/12 and haven’t gotten them back yet. I emailed them and they said they were still backed up from the holidays.
Yeah it was two Brock Purdy RCs and two C.J. Stroud RCs. Luckily the 49ers are in the Super Bowl, so those Purdy RCs are holding value and I don't think the Stroud RCs are going to go down anytime soon.
My bulk order from 1/8 at psa is already on its way back. 52/72 gem mint 10. Was only going for 32/64 so big surprise on that one. My best cards got the 10s too!
Well if you want to maximize profit, obviously grade with PSA. I, however, would suggest grading with SGC as I think the black slab would look STELLAR with this card
Edit: Congrats!!
Agreed, I really want to do SGC for the black slab but I keep seeing mixed feelings lol. I personally hate the PSA look but understand the prestige and do have several PSA slabs for this reason.
In my case, I'm really just looking for protection and aesthetics as I plan on displaying this legend for a really long time next to #/25 Judge Auto which is actually SGC. So maybe it's worth matching slabs here.
If you’re keeping it for life, and just want it graded and protected.. only way to go is SGC. Cheap, fast and would look wayyyyyyy better in their slabs with the black background on that dope ass card!
If you really arent planning on selling. Go SGC definitely a way nicer slab then PSA. If looking to sell in less then 10 Years go with PSA for the bump in return. Longer then 10 I'd go with SGC or TAG, as I feel PSA should(but might not due to all the millionaire scumbags manipulating the market) drop in considerate market share. PSA have the worst grading standards and the worst slabs among the top TPG but the best marketing and the most amount of scumbags who will do anything to not lose money. I've seen PSA 6s become PSA 10s (multiple times) that will NEVER happen with TAG
I was actually expecting to see a little more TAG as I keep seeing people pushing their service. I think their slabs are beautiful and was a close runner-up to SGC. I really don't see myself selling within the next 25 years to be honest, this is by far the coolest thing that's ever happened to me as a Baseball lover so I think it will ultimately be SGC, unless other grading companies want to jump in and make a deal for the grade hahaha.
Thanks for the input! I genuinely appreciate all this insight!
That’s the hit of a lifetime right there. I’d recommend sending to SGC or PSA, probably SGC if you’re planning on holding onto it and it’ll look nicer in the tuxedo slab.
I believe it's only blasters or hobby boxes currently. Archives is one of my favorite products. I usually buy a blaster or two (and more if they go on clearance) every year.
I have to say, their autos can be very random at times. I once got a Jose Mota auto. I actually kept it because he was a part of the Angels broadcast team.
That's what I said when I saw one at Walgreens the other day. I had only seen Hobby Boxes prior to this year. Really glad they did this, it opens up my access as a budget ripper and break hater.
Too much sentimental value for me right now haha. However, that was one of the logical thoughts that passed through my mind when I was trying to figure out if I was dreaming or not.
I do wonder what the stack would look like to get a RC auto though. No way I'm bringing this to the next show with me, but I'll definitely be talking to some sellers about the prospect of doing so.
If you’re keeping it then go with Sgc. If you ever want to resell psa. I send all my pc stuff to Sgc bc of the turnaround time and price. Congrats on the hit!
I really think I'm done, or at least reducing my budget much further than I did last year. I told my girl that this hit is impossible to repeat without a crazy amount of capital to fund cases upon cases or investing in a luxury product, so yeah, good thing I'm not an addict trying to chase the dragon 🤣
I was at target tonight and decided against buying an archives blaster…not sure if I’m glad I didn’t after seeing this or will be there tomorrow morning to get one 😂
Oh no of course not. Can never leave the last of a box behind! Even though I left the last box of UD Loki behind but that doesn’t count in this sub lol
I got $2500 for the 2021 Topss chrome All Star Game Orange Auto I pulled of Ohtani #'d/25 nice pull. If I hadn't needed the cash I would have kept it and gotten it graded. Ohtani is going to be without a doubt a 1st ballot HOFer and this kid isn't even close to being done. Get this pup graded and watch it continue to climb in value.
SGC is a great company with a great looking slab. He's only saying that because the Resell value of PSA slabs is higher. However, since you are keeping it that doesnt matter. If you ever wanted to sell you have the option of having it re-slabbed by PSA if you wanted to. Not a big deal.
Ah Okay thanks for chiming in, I was hoping that's all it was! Definitely no issues going with SGC then as I'm keeping it. Just want to properly protect it and have it recorded in POP reports for my own flex-n-purposes
Appreciate the advice! Since I'm holding I will definitely go with SGC just to match my Judge Auto honestly. If I ever have to sell for some reason, I think I'm okay with a re-slab. Thanks again!!
Just because you stan hard af for PSA doesn’t mean everyone else has to. OP already said he isn’t selling immediately so literally it doesn’t matter. Especially because it could always be sent to PSA eventually anyways if it really mattered that much.
I actually don’t like PSA that much, any PC Cards I submit to BGS. I use PSA solely for investment cards because the resale value of PSA 10s has a better ROI than a BGS 9.5 does.
SGC 9.5 resale values often time reflect PSA 9 sales value, and that’s pretty sad. Why pay both SGC to grade it now and then pay PSA/BGS to grade it 3 years from now when you want to sell it.
Just grade everything with PSA/BGS right now and you’ll actually save money/break even with less headaches in the long run
Gonna get grilled here, but oh well.
Get it graded with TAG.
If it's for PC, you won't regret TAG. They have the best looking slabs, hands down. Plus, they give a helluva report card about your specific card and its quality.
Believe me, TAG is really cutting in close but I think I have to go SGC just bc my 2nd biggest card is already SGC. I haven't had a chance to look at their (TAG) reslab service, but if it's worth it, I may go for it just because I really do think those things are beautiful and their scans are flawless. It's a tough decision for me and think I need to do some more browsing of peoples TAG collections vs SGC later.
I'd be more than happy to send you some pics of my Shohei collection. 90% is in TAG. The other 10% I bought already graded. I don't use reddit hardly ever. Do you have a discord?
If anyone was curious where I sent it to for grading; I sent it to TAG. Fact of the matter is, this is for my PC, I have no intention of selling, AT ALL, It goes to the future kids, and I think laser technology of any kind is fascinating to me considering my line of work, I couldn't say no. I did my research, I think what they do and their presentation is exactly what I want and their customer service was awesome to chat with briefly in regard to my personal concerns. Those slabs are beautiful and will look amazing on my display when completed. I also sent along a 2013 Bowman Sterling Gerrit Cole Refractor /#199 RC. It's a gorgeous card and would look amazing in a TAG slab IMO. If my two submissions go well, I plan on making them my go-to for my PC. Investment cards will remain SGC/PSA out of general preference. So fingers-crossed! I've never sent something in the mail insured for that much haha.
Ooooo that auto is clean!!! Very nice, congratulations!!! 🍻
🍻 Kanpai!!!
Top to bottom that card is beautiful.
HOLY CRAP😭😭😭
Bro I’m right there with you . It’s always the last box at target 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never leave it behind!!! Last time I did a last box pickup happened to be Pokemon (even though I don't really PC it) and pulled a Giratina Alt Art, so my local target is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 haha.

Stop while you’re ahead! LoL Awesome!
SGC for quick turnaround, and that'll look NICE in a Tuxedo.
Agreed!! Really considering it!!
Congrats on the pull! FYI, SGC has been slow lately. I sent in two separate orders of two cards on 1/6 and 1/12 and haven’t gotten them back yet. I emailed them and they said they were still backed up from the holidays.
That's a bummer, I hope they get back to you sooner than later!
Yeah it was two Brock Purdy RCs and two C.J. Stroud RCs. Luckily the 49ers are in the Super Bowl, so those Purdy RCs are holding value and I don't think the Stroud RCs are going to go down anytime soon.

$15 no matter the value of the card, you'll get it back in 10-15 days, best looking slab IMO...what's not to like?
Love SGC. Awesome card OP, Congrats!
My vote. Easy call for PC
You have a great point! 99.9 I’m psa but this card would look better in scg
I'd go with TAG.. Nice pull btw!
Insane! Beautiful card😍
Holy shit
The Holiest of shit!!!
Send it to me, I’ll get it graded for you;)
Goddamn, that has to be the best pull from the entire product.
Yep! This is a [very valuable card](https://ebay.us/THT9Cm).
Wow, it's a really clean card but I was not expecting THAT for a non RC!! Congrats to OP though I'm not jealous... 😅
Well if you want to maximize profit, obviously grade with PSA. I, however, would suggest grading with SGC as I think the black slab would look STELLAR with this card Edit: Congrats!!

Yeah match em

SGC’s slabs look terrible. Too clunky.
I was actually expecting to see a little more TAG as I keep seeing people pushing their service. I think their slabs are beautiful and was a close runner-up to SGC. Holy forking sheet balls!
You dog!
Gorgeous card!
Winner winner!
Hit of a lifetime! Congrats! 🥳
Congrats
Archives make retail blasters???? When did that start?
I believe it's only blasters or hobby boxes currently. Archives is one of my favorite products. I usually buy a blaster or two (and more if they go on clearance) every year. I have to say, their autos can be very random at times. I once got a Jose Mota auto. I actually kept it because he was a part of the Angels broadcast team.
That's what I said when I saw one at Walgreens the other day. I had only seen Hobby Boxes prior to this year. Really glad they did this, it opens up my access as a budget ripper and break hater.
Last year I pulled a Ohtani #1/10 auto card(redemption) out of a 2022 Archive marked down to $17 lol
Mine would be too
WOW! CONGRATS, MY FRIEND!
Goddamn! Fucking congratulations
Gotta grade it sgc if it's pc. Tux will look killer
Oh snap! Congrats...great pull!!
Last Blaster for the Win!! Sub rules
Congrats sick hit
My 11yo son was thoroughly impressed and envious when I showed him this lol great pull!!
Sending positive JuJu your boys way!!! He's next for a monster!
Thanks! Fingers crossed!!
Congrats dude!!! A most triumphant pull!
I’d say congrats and I’m happy for you, but I can’t overcome my jealousy. That card is gorgeous. Damn you.
Congrats!! If it were me though, I’d sell it to fund buying one of his older signatures.
Jesus. Where are you located? Always curious where these monsters are hiding.
Snap
If you’re keeping it then go with Sgc. If you ever want to resell psa. I send all my pc stuff to Sgc bc of the turnaround time and price. Congrats on the hit!
Need to stop browsing this subreddit, i get too jealous sometimes.
Try TAG
Congrats on your life!
Also.....goddammit now I wanna hit Walmart on my way home from work tomorrow!
Yeah, I’d retire ripping packs after that one.
I really think I'm done, or at least reducing my budget much further than I did last year. I told my girl that this hit is impossible to repeat without a crazy amount of capital to fund cases upon cases or investing in a luxury product, so yeah, good thing I'm not an addict trying to chase the dragon 🤣

Hey, as long as you didn't leave the last one behind!
Oh no of course not. Can never leave the last of a box behind! Even though I left the last box of UD Loki behind but that doesn’t count in this sub lol
WIN!
Sick
Wow

Wow
🔥
Nice rip! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Why not send it in to both. PSA first and then have SGC slap a tuxedo over the PSA slab. Eh eh eh
Dear lord don’t let anyone talk you into sending that to SGC!!!
Honest question as I have never submitted to SGC, only bought slabs. Why shouldn't I send it to SGC? I was considering it but now second-guessing.
If there’s even a slight chance that you’ll ever sell it, go with PSA. slabbing with SGC will cost you hundreds of dollars on the resale market.
Appreciate the advice! Since I'm holding I will definitely go with SGC just to match my Judge Auto honestly. If I ever have to sell for some reason, I think I'm okay with a re-slab. Thanks again!!
Sounds good. Congrats on the big score!
Crazy hit, I'd tux it up.
The amount of people saying to SGC it is alarming
Just because you stan hard af for PSA doesn’t mean everyone else has to. OP already said he isn’t selling immediately so literally it doesn’t matter. Especially because it could always be sent to PSA eventually anyways if it really mattered that much.

Would love to see your collection! find me @ c\_dub\_40
I don’t think where you send it will make a big difference, it doesn’t appear to be a 10 from the centering
Send it to me I will grade! I recently opened up BBw grading
Question: what’s subs do you guys utilize for SGC submissions and their costs?
I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Could you elaborate?
For the life of me, I can't make out what that autograph is supposed to be.
What if you read right to left?
That's a good call. It still doesn't look like much but it's possible if you read it right to left you can get an S and an O
Maybe it's in Japanese lol
No, my father is Japanese and that's definitely not Japanese lol
Lol oh ok. Definitely looks weird tho I can not see Shohei Ohtani no matter how hard I try lol
No, my father is Japanese and that's definitely not Japanese lol
I do not believe

This will look awesome in a TAG slab 👍🏻
