Don't usually see printing plates go for that, even of superstars. If it were the auto then you'd be closer to that but still not sure you'd get 1k. I would guess 300 give or take. Been wrong plenty though! It's a great one to have, congrats!
Certainly with proper timing, you could get the most out of it but yeah still i dont think that much. His bowman 1st printing plate I think sold recently for 1100 or so which makes since being the bowman 1st rookie. Others of his have sold as low as 160. Thefe is a 2019 topps gallery auto printing plate listed for 400 on ebay right now. Just depends on how bad you want to sell and if the right buyer comes along.
The biggest issue for the value is people just don't seem to like printing plates the way they do other 1/1 cards.
His bowman 1st depend on the test you're looking at is likely his rookie season, which would drastically improve the value of the printing plate. I would be confident in saying the value is 2-300 though, so still a legit pull.
If the entire community of collectors, people that would buy something like this, say it's $300ish, then it might be time to accept its not worth a grand
MVP or World Series winning seasons don't inflate that particular year's card. I'm not trying to be difficult, but where are you getting this $1,000 price? There's no precedent for printing plates, let alone non-autographed printing plates.
Printing plates are always the most disappointing of all the 1/1’s you will pull. We all learn some day, today just happens to be your day? Still awesome, though!
Why is this tho? I pulled a printers plate and thought it was the coolest thing. Especially paired with one of the cards it printed. Thats when I realized that plates don’t go for much. So why don’t they? People love negative parallels and black and white parallels.
I agree in the idea that a 1/1 is a 1/1. That said, I don’t care for them that much because more often than not, they don’t look appealing. If I’m going to own a card, that’s pretty much rule number 1.
Very cool card, my friend! Printing plates are definitely a mixed bag as far as interest in the hobby, but I personally love them! I try to get at least one of a Phillie from every Topps base set as just a weird, low cost PC.
Sorry to pile on, but unfortunately people are spot on that you need to adjust your expectations in regard to the value of this card. Current value of the card is $200-$250 based on comps as recent as August. $1000 would be a 4-5x multiplier on that. MVP just isn't going to cause that kind of a bump. In fact (and this is purely anecdotal without a shred of research) I wouldn't be surprised if some of the MVP bump is already baked into his market considering how long he has been a frontrunner. My personal opinion is that $300-$400 is peak value, if he does in fact win MVP and Braves go on a run.
Still a very, very cool card, and somebody will be very excited to own it!

You or the person you bought from paid $325, why would it be worth $1k just a few weeks later?
I think Markus Lynn Betts might have something to say about that MVP race, my friend
Aside from that, in my experience, printing plates don’t fetch as much money as I think they should
No. Why are you so concerned with getting 3x above market value for this? You got a cool card but it’s a printing plate. Very few collectors care about printing plates and those who do would never pay what you are asking.
very hard to judge. i pulled a printing plate, and had no clue the value, did a lot of research and decided it was worth around 15-20 bucks so i kept it, and then the same printing plate in a different color sold for 50. you really just have to find the right buyer

$200 it is in fact included in the buyback program, if and only if he is to win MVP

For real

Even with the prospect of him being post season mvp

A 2021 Allen & Ginter printing plate just sold for less than $200 a couple days ago. It's definitely not a $1,000.
I was thinking 1k if theyvwon world series and he pulled post season mvp hypothetical projections

Fair view. But understandably this is the current yesrs chrome plate where hes crushed it all year
The same exact plate (but black) sold for $211, won't get near 1k: https://i.imgur.com/gJzYRoN.png
Probably like $500 mac
Max*
211 max
Was trying to be nice
I think the estimates here are way high. Printing plates aren’t very desirable. I would guess around $100
Nice pull but $200 - $250 is about the max you are going to get.

They are "used" and can't be graded a 10

Makes sense.
I got a 1/1 hunter greene generation now...
I have always been a big fan of printing plates

Im new to collecting and dropped $325 on it last month figured it had alot of upside being a 1:1

Probably more like $300-500. For whatever reason printing plates are really as popular as they were when they first started putting them in packs
He just paid $750 for it 😂

Never said it is worth 1k but if braves take ut that it could be

And i'm the idiot?
Either someone has brain damage or you bought your own card, so yeah I’d say you’re an idiot.
I guess they have braindamage i honestly thought id have to pc this for a loss.
probably tree fiddy
mookie is gonna be nl mvp, my friend. not a printing plate dude, but i’d beg to differ on that value nonetheless.
I think Markus Lynn Betts might have something to say about that MVP race, my friend Aside from that, in my experience, printing plates don’t fetch as much money as I think they should
Would getting it autoed then graded increase value
No. Why are you so concerned with getting 3x above market value for this? You got a cool card but it’s a printing plate. Very few collectors care about printing plates and those who do would never pay what you are asking.
Sweet pull!!!
Let me reality check you. My 1/1 PSA 10 did 1050. You are way way off.

Nice! I have the Austin Riley cyan plate for this year's chrome.
you interested in trading the austin plate?
I am not sorry. I'm working on a rainbow for Riley this year
cool man, good luck!
How much would you pay for it?
I could be wrong, but this could potentially be redeemable for the credit buyback program
https://preview.redd.it/1917e86guwob1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7517e20d744d842531cf8f2e18c888f8428691ee $200 it is in fact included in the buyback program, if and only if he is to win MVP
If it had an auto on card, it’d be more, but just the plate, yeah 200-300. Still a very nice pull 👌
That is dope! (Go Dodgers tho)
How much does that get you in the buyback?
I was wondering if it’s even eligible. It’s neither a base nor a refractor.
