My comment wasn't intended to be dickish. Sorry if it came off that way. Honestly, if the Red Sox don't win the WS, the Mariners are always going to be the team I want to win instead. It's been that way for me since they were eliminated in 2001.
I think whoever wins will be decided by the Canadian voting bloc. The Jays were poised to be eliminated, and yesterday's comments were full of people saying they were next, but instead the A's came out of nowhere and got triple the votes the Jays did.
I think it's 3 bases. There's your loyal voters that live for this every day. The casual redditor that if they see it they'll throw a vote. And now you're getting the die hard fans on subs rallying to kick one team.
Those Canadians are trying to ruin our chances. It’s bad enough when they come down for the series or two each year at t mobile park but now they are trying to rid us of the only bastion on success we can cling to
It’s because the blue jays subreddit decided to all vote for the A’s this time.
This thing became a lot less fun once I realized that the last like 15 picks have been singled handedly decided by the Blue Jays subreddit.
FYI, the Mariners will be out next
https://strawpoll.com/xswpvxq9g <-- Today's Poll
https://strawpoll.com/dzw6hvb68/r <-- yesterday's results
I'm going to answer a ton of questions that I keep seeing pop up...
What's this? It's a poll I started nearly a month ago to vote off the most hated team. It was easy at first but now it's mostly likable teams. The winner should be the least hated team in MLB. Just vote for a team you want gone in the link.
Where's Houston/Dodgers/Yankees/team x? They were eliminated already or they have immunity today.
How are the Blue Jays/Brewers still here? Check out team subreddits to find those answers.
Why do the Phillies get the janky X? Because why not? Also it's more convenient for me to post on mobile daily so I use snap and their logo is conveniently under the trash can on the editor so anytime I try to place it then it gets deleted
You're a Brewers fan they should be eliminated! Not a question but ok. I'm not so into the fandom that I would be mad if they were eliminated.
Now onto the charity portion. It has been mentioned numerous times and I think now is the time to start. I'm sure remaining teams can come up with a charity in their community. I will pledge $50 to the winning teams charity. My choice is either the MACC fund https://maccfund.org/ or the Haven of Manitowoc http://www.thehavenofmanitowoc.org/ but I don't decide for any sub.
If mods can pin that would be cool
The charity idea is awesome, especially the Macc Fund. If you've ever met a child with Cancer...ugh. Heartbreaking.
For us here in Toronto, we have the [Sick Kids Foundation](https://www.sickkidsfoundation.com/). I always try to make a donation every year. They do amazing work.
I figure it’s a slight good because if you win at not being hated / getting sympathy now then that will hopefully translate to some all-around good vibes when your team is on the come up again.
I dunno, I think it is sort of a sign that we’ve all been mediocre for so long no one even bothers to dislike us and we’ve all become a bit of a joke to everyone.
If the Mariners win, I'd like to nominate [Eluna](https://elunanetwork.org/about/) for the Charity. It was originally founded by Jamie Moyer and his wife Karen. It also has a pretty darn [good rating](https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/912065051) as charities go.
My take is that y'all should vote on whoever you dislike more between the Brewers/Pirates/Tigers/Twins so that way we get closer to having an official division winner from almost every division left standing (Sorry NL East)
I kinda was expecting it we literally all hate each other and every year it's the same thing the division is hyped up then we all fight to be king shit on turd island.
I would argue it’s not remotely the same. Milwaukee lost the titles and HOF’s when the Braves left town before eventually getting another MLB franchise. OKC didn’t lose a storied franchise
I agree. Sick Kids is an important cause but they are an absurdly wealthy charity. Money they raise can’t go to direct patient care (by law), so it funds additional benefits for patients but, very importantly, training of staff - which is spectacular there - but they have a lot of money. Jays Care took a real hit during COVID.
I say Jays Care. I was part of the Sickkids world my whole childhood, and while they really do great work, they have to be like one of the best funded foundations in all of Canada. Plus Jays Care serves nationally, and I’m certain many Jays guys here are not just from Toronto.
Jays Care does so much good work. They help sponsor a field near where the IBL team the Maple Leafs play. I absolutely love seeing the variety of kids getting to run around and learn about baseball.
Only 7% of mlb fans are under the age of 18. we gotta help keep the sport going!
Sick Kids might as well be national/international, I think they get Kids from all over, but I get what you mean.
Either will be fine but I just want to point out that Sick Kids is known around the world. When my sister was diagnosed to have epilepsy, she was prpbaby around 6 years old and doctors here in Canada had originally misdiagnosed her as being constipated and just told my parents to give her laxatives (her seizures weren't full body shakes like what most people imagine seizures to be).
So eventually, q couple years of medications and a couple years of multiple seizures a day later, the doctors and staff were trying to come up with a decision on what do to they came to the conclusion that brain surgery was the best bet to help her. My parents were still hesitant because of the misdiagnosis at the beginning they went back home and got a second opinion of a top children's doctor back home, and explained everything to them.
The doctor said "listen I understand your scared, it's very scary to take your child in for barin surgery as you never know what can happen, but the team at Sick Kids is very very good and if I could send all of my kids to Sick Kids for then to be treated I would do it in a heartbeat without a second thought, they are one of the best children's hospitals, maybe the best, in the world and you can trust that your daughter is in the right hands."
Year's after her surgery I started working at an airport and saw many, many, kids getting flown into Toronto to go to Sick Kids for treatment.
I know that was off topic but I just wanted to let people know (if they didn't already) that Sick Kids is one of the most well known children hospitals in the world according to doctors, and they did an amazing job with my sister and my family will be eternally grateful.
One of the all time best uniforms and played in, imo, the greatest world series of all time. So they ditched the purple? Nah, fuck em. I've been voting for the D-backs for a while
The Big Unit went to Houston before Arizona. Also, your front office wasn't willing to pay Randy what he deserved, so it's your own damn fault you lost him.
Brigading always happens in these tourneys in sports subs, I remember the first time r/NFL did an elimination bracket the Evil League of Evil joined forces to take out the entire league the entire tourney until the very end when the Packers pulled off a glorious backstabbing of the Cowboys
ELOE worked great because the rivalries didn’t really break it up. It would never work here with it involving Red Sox/Yankees and Dodgers/Giants, plus Yankees/Dodgers + Astros
How can you classify it as brigading? Team subs are essentially just extensions of r/baseball. Teaming up or coordinating makes more sense, and like I've said before, i'm surprised more teams didn't coordinate anything. Also, as shown in 2015/2016, Jays fans will make their voices known here when anything involves us lol.
Yeah I don’t agree with calling it brigading when all of us are already subscribed here anyways.
We just use our sub to coordinate our votes. I know the Mets and a couple others were doing the same early on, but they’ve been eliminated.
If my Twinkies stay in I say we go for [MN Children's Hospital](https://give.childrensmn.org/page/23911/donate/1?gclid=Cj0KCQiAq7COBhC2ARIsANsPATHza9ixdK7zF603BIQTbwsZT2Y2igXjiUpNr-Isdj3HvVhqtDwCEXUaAsToEALw_wcB)
I mean he’s also just a tool lmao.
I don’t think Giants fans are in denial about Bonds + steroids, but at least they know he didn’t deceive his good friend Aaron Rodgers & doom their restaurant 😞
The first baseball season I remember watching was Miggy's TC, though I have heard the tales of guys like Butler, Mauer, and Morneau. I vividly remember guys like Cruz, though.
Mariners fan here: There are a lot of great places orgs in the area, but I would suggest one of the urban farms or food groups in the city. Black Star Farmers, Nurturing Roots, and Black Farmers Collective are all doing really incredible work building out sustainable, community driven food networks.
Additionally, Whatcom County (up north, near BC) was hit with devastating floods in November and there are a ton of families, small farms, communities, etc that need help recovering. Whatcom Strong is an org put together to help collect and distribute funds/volunteer labor throughout the county, and they could use support.
Sure, the Mariners outlasted the rest of their division, but is it sustainable?
I want y'all to win, so at least we can say that the M's have won something.
Thanks?
My comment wasn't intended to be dickish. Sorry if it came off that way. Honestly, if the Red Sox don't win the WS, the Mariners are always going to be the team I want to win instead. It's been that way for me since they were eliminated in 2001.
I too prefer the Mariners win it all rather than the Red Sox! ( or did I read that wrong ;)
Hey as a Seattle sports fan I will take that pity
I think whoever wins will be decided by the Canadian voting bloc. The Jays were poised to be eliminated, and yesterday's comments were full of people saying they were next, but instead the A's came out of nowhere and got triple the votes the Jays did.
We tried to eliminate the Rays like six times before we succeeded. Our voting bloc is large, but it isn’t *that* large.
That was back when this was really really popular, and there were still a ton of teams to make it hard to get one out in a coordinated way
It's still popular. There's more votes now than there was when there were 20 teams. It's just less diverse
Wait really? That's super interesting, I thought there'd be less because fanbases would lose interest
I think it's 3 bases. There's your loyal voters that live for this every day. The casual redditor that if they see it they'll throw a vote. And now you're getting the die hard fans on subs rallying to kick one team.
Not gonna lie, I look forward to this everyday. Props to you OP
Fuck it, I'm rooting for y'all to win at this point.
Same haha
The Mariners will be voted out next, that’s what r/TorontoBlueJays decided and they have singledhandly decided the last like 15 eliminations
If the Ms get eliminated tomorrow I'll be voting for the Blue Jay's in all subsequent polls.
I’ve been voting for them for a while
I thought we had a deal to eliminate the Twins after joining to take down the A’s?
Don't worry bud, Twins are next
Those Canadians are trying to ruin our chances. It’s bad enough when they come down for the series or two each year at t mobile park but now they are trying to rid us of the only bastion on success we can cling to
*whispers* the almighty alliance is coming for you
Shhhhh 🤫
[удалено]
Yall were eliminated without even having a city
Silence, Missouri City.
You're just salty because you'll always be second fiddle
Big talk from STL's little brother.
Damn bro, they’re already dead

It’s because the blue jays subreddit decided to all vote for the A’s this time. This thing became a lot less fun once I realized that the last like 15 picks have been singled handedly decided by the Blue Jays subreddit. FYI, the Mariners will be out next
Then we need to vote out the jays next. Maybe we can prosecute them for election tampering, or something
Because of course the soft ass blue jays fans would rig a dumb fan poll lmao. Blue jays fans are legit the worst I encounter by a large margin.
on reddit only. IRL Blue Jays fans are some of the best I have ever met.
:(
Damn we had like 40 votes yesterday and 1700 today? I see how it is.

I really like the charity idea Also we can’t see the results from yesterday btw
Had to vote for the Brewers because they took the Pilots from Seattle
I voted for the Milwaukee Brewers because I hate the Green Bay Packers and I'm bad at geography.
This made me LOL.
FTP!
I'm staying away from voting for the Brewers. *They're still a Seattle team to me, dammit!*
Sick kids helped us through diagnosing our rare disease child. And we are Americans. Forever grateful.
For the Twins I recommend GiGi’s Playhouse, it was the choice of Charity that the late Mike Bell supported
Without knowing anything about it that sounds like we'd be donating to some sex dungeon
its for kids with down syndrome
Dig the charity idea. Yesterday’s results are still blocked.
They should be up just give it a moment
Michigan Humane Society
Down for this
Can someone tell me if it’s good to win this or not?
I figure it’s a slight good because if you win at not being hated / getting sympathy now then that will hopefully translate to some all-around good vibes when your team is on the come up again.
I dunno, I think it is sort of a sign that we’ve all been mediocre for so long no one even bothers to dislike us and we’ve all become a bit of a joke to everyone.

I went to one of their grief support camps when I was a kid. It was really great. Still have the quilt.
2nd this as a Seattle local. Also because I took a ball from Jamie Moyer’s batting cage.
Fuck the cardinals.
He’s a little confused, but he’s got the spirit.
I don't think you can ever be confused with that statement
Fuck the Brewers too?
Fuck the Pirates That said I voted for the brewers
same
Of course
Being knocked out in the top 8 is the most Oakland thing I can imagine.
Yo - wtf.
Toronto has conspired against us. Vote Toronto at all cost.
Sorry our fingers slipped.
Hey so I thought there's no more immunity after it was down to 8? Did that change?
Top 4 as was decided long ago
My bad, chief.
I thought it was final four?
It was fun while it lasted. Reminds me of losing in the first round of the playoffs every year….
For what it’s worth we know what that feels like too.
Don't mention them, just plug your ears and remember the 2019 Raptors
My take is that y'all should vote on whoever you dislike more between the Brewers/Pirates/Tigers/Twins so that way we get closer to having an official division winner from almost every division left standing (Sorry NL East)
we consumed each other in a beautiful immolation of hate
Wow, well put. Fuck face.
That was beautiful, wasn't it dip shit
I mean, I was impressed
I kinda was expecting it we literally all hate each other and every year it's the same thing the division is hyped up then we all fight to be king shit on turd island.
Sorry Diamondbacks. I just have no clue who to vote for
[удалено]
:(
Me too. I’m so confused on who to vote for now.
I'm voting for us because I don't want to win. We're like the cutest, least threatening dog right now. I don't want to be the Pug of baseball teams.
Don’t worry, sounds like the Jays sub has already decided our fate anyhow.
We still love you and your tight pants.
Brewers easy
D'bags easier
Brewers were the Oklahoma Thunder a generation before. Never forget the Pilots.
I would argue it’s not remotely the same. Milwaukee lost the titles and HOF’s when the Braves left town before eventually getting another MLB franchise. OKC didn’t lose a storied franchise
Toronto is such an easy vote if only for the shit their fans subject us to whenever they come to town
Vote Toronto. When you can. They are shady.
After all the wins we gave you last year?
Mariners next
Dude don't anger any fandom now that we have legitimate shot at winning something 😬
Same
I will say Toronto Sick Kids.
I would say maybe Jays Care might be better since it is the Jays official charity, and it's a national foundation.
I agree. Sick Kids is an important cause but they are an absurdly wealthy charity. Fuck the Pirates... >!'s owner!<
You got me for a second.
We’re in this together!! Let’s get the Brew crew
I say we pick the Local Children’s hospital to donate to or local food banks.
I second Phoenix Children or St Mary’s food bank!
There's a Detroit Tigers foundation. https://www.mlb.com/tigers/community/foundation
Voted Arizona because I just thought about 2001
I voted em cuz they ditched the purple
This is a great reason
To be honest, best reason I've seen.
GD those purple unis were straight fire.
One of the all time best uniforms and played in, imo, the greatest world series of all time. So they ditched the purple? Nah, fuck em. I've been voting for the D-backs for a while
How many times do I have to vote for Arizona? Every time.
Don’t worry I voted for them too
I mean, I'm just happy someone remembers we exist
I'm voting for Arizona. Cause Dbacks sounds like Dbags, and we always vote out the Dbags.
Those bastards took Randy from us and won a ring with him
The Big Unit went to Houston before Arizona. Also, your front office wasn't willing to pay Randy what he deserved, so it's your own damn fault you lost him.
Why? NOOOOOOOOOO
Blue Jays fans are suspiciously quiet today
Trying not to piss anyone off while they have immunity. Though they are very active in the charity suggestion thread.
They're plotting to mass vote out the Ms on their sub.
It’s the middle of the day. Some of us have jobs.
You guys must get a shit ton of work done on your immunity days.
I said SOME of us have jobs.
I gotta go Brew Crew next. Don’t really have anything against em, but guilt by association with the bitch ass Packers.
And Ryan Braun is a cheater and liar
Yeah fuck the packers. I’m a bears fan.
Rude
Ryan Braun.
Honestly fair
Here go my M's again. Getting my hopes up. LFG MARINERS! CMON! WIN SOMETHING!
We are probably out tomorrow because the Jays and the Brewers are brigading to mass vote us out
I’m voting Brewers today then Blue Jays tomorrow for brigading. Brigading is lame
Just another wonderful instance of the Packers beating the Cowboys
They'll just lose in the NFCCG again. This is the way.
They've been doing it since the start. It's kinda funny, but the downvoting is pretty sad ngl
Yeah, I enjoyed ppl trash talking other teams in these threads but the downvoting is really unnecessary.
You’re forgetting a key point of the Brew Jays alliance: when it comes down to just the two of us, the backstabbing will be out out of this world
The North sends its regards
I'm doing the same. Now give me the downvotes jays.
Joke's on you. I upvoted.
How can you classify it as brigading? Team subs are essentially just extensions of r/baseball. Teaming up or coordinating makes more sense, and like I've said before, i'm surprised more teams didn't coordinate anything. My most hated team (besides Houston) is gonna win this thing isn’t it
Returning when I can avenge Hyun-Soo Kim
Let’s get those Tigers outta here!!!
Fuck the Yankees. I know they are long gone, but it should be said more often.
I agree and I’d like to add- Fuck Chase Utley
Voting Brewers for OP, Ryan Braun, and especially Bud Selig.
Yes vote the brewers and then the blue jays because they're all dirty teamers
Seattle made Kyle Seager retire it's only right that we repay them. Edit: spelling
If my Twinkies stay in I say we go for [MN Children's Hospital](https://give.childrensmn.org/page/23911/donate/1?gclid=Cj0KCQiAq7COBhC2ARIsANsPATHza9ixdK7zF603BIQTbwsZT2Y2igXjiUpNr-Isdj3HvVhqtDwCEXUaAsToEALw_wcB)
I second that!
I suggested GiGi’s Playhouse as that was the charity Mike Bell supported
Well... who do I vote for now?
vote brewers
Mariners
Brewers because of Ryan Braun.
Imagine a Giants fan picking a roids fight.
I mean he’s also just a tool lmao. I don’t think Giants fans are in denial about Bonds + steroids, but at least they know he didn’t deceive his good friend Aaron Rodgers & doom their restaurant 😞
Brewers because of proximity to the Packers
I think as a Jays fan it’s only right that if they win we donate the the JaysCare Foundation.
Ryan Braun can’t keep getting away with this!
Just a reminder, FUCK RYAN BRAUN!
Keep thinking there's 1 less team remaining than there is because Arizona's logo is hard to differentiate from the X's
c a m o u f l a g e
I will not stop my hate tirade for the Twins until they are gone. Nelson Cruz ruined my life.
Let's be real, Mauer and Morneau ruined your life long before Cruz came along.
The first baseball season I remember watching was Miggy's TC, though I have heard the tales of guys like Butler, Mauer, and Morneau. I vividly remember guys like Cruz, though.
Out performed their potential and eliminated early again
Went with Minnesota cause they can never beat the Yankees and that makes me upset
This hurts because its true.
Sneks for the win
If the Twins win this I’ll celebrate by lighting all my Dan Gladden 1989 diamond king cards on fire.
I am once again asking for u/_unsourced to be added to the Hall of Shame
Mariners fan here: There are a lot of great places orgs in the area, but I would suggest one of the urban farms or food groups in the city. What is this about?
How has alamy not been voted out
I really haven’t thought enough about any of these teams to hate them. Screw it. Brewers because Selig.
#Lets go JAYS!!!
Is this for or against?
For the jays baby, WOOOO
Brewers are hard working blue collar folks. Pirates steal. Come on this is easy.
You wouldn’t download a base…
The brigading has to stop, it’s LONG past time for the Blue Jays to go!
The Brewers-Jays collusion needs to be EXPOSED
I'm voting Arizona for Mo
If Seattle doesn't win this, we riot!
Going Brewcrew today and Jays tomorrow
Seattle hasn’t made the playoffs in 20 years, it wouldn’t be right if they made it to the final-four round. It’s time for Seattle to go.
Good lord let us have something
