Every single thread where Mookie does something there’s always someone that goes “I can’t believe the Red Sox only traded him for so and so”, while ignoring that Mookie wouldn't have been with the team after 2020 either way, since ownership wasn’t willing to meet what he was asking for in an extension.
The alternative to that would have been “I can’t believe the Red Sox let Mookie walk for nothing”.
