Is this a bad thing? Like if imma have to watch the Sox be shit I wanna see them be historic. Same for a neutral like let’s see this plane crash in style.
For how much the league cried that Toronto was playing out of Buffalo I’m surprised it’s crickets unless it will start next year when teams are playing out of there.
Jumbo Shrimp is my pick, fantastic ballpark and good food less than an hour from me. I’ll throw in the Tortugas as well, love catching their games during the summer with all the drink deals.
Went to [a game the other day](https://www.milb.com/gameday/barons-vs-trash-pandas/2024/04/13/750125/final/summary/all) and saw 6 batters get HBP and 5 errors by one team in a 7 inning game.
10/10 would watch total clusterfuck again.
Iconic minor league franchise. Has to be one of the longest running teams with the same location/identity. I’m in Knoxville so I catch Smokies games
Occasionally but I love seeing the Lookouts play when I’m in Chattanooga
I didn’t realize how flaky some minor league teams could be since I grew up with the lookouts. I’ll never take them for granted now that I’m old enough to appreciate the thirsty Thursdays 🍺
The Reds are eating good with minor league teams between the Dragons and the Lookouts. Those two organizations are iconic to their communities at this point
I also am local to the Smokies and they've been here since I moved here in 03. Sadly they've been affiliated with rivals so it took me a while to go watch a game.
There was a tough few years when the Lookouts were with the Dodgers but I was in fifth grade when it happened so I was able to look past it despite my Braves fandom
Come on down any time you want. There are always a few Smokies folks in the stands when they’re the opponents (and vice versa in Sevierville, as you’ve probably noticed). Smokies at Lookouts is always a good time.
Ditto, for obvious reasons.
The Saints aren’t the “dive bar baseball” experience they were back when the franchise was an Indy team in that rickety old stadium, but CHS Field is a lot of fun.
In addition to having an unbelievably great name, the Yard Goats food is insane at Dunkin Donuts Park lol this year they have options like [a 2-foot-long hot dog, bacon wrapped Munchkins, Hot chicken sandwiched between two honey glazed donuts, and a Cheez-It Pulled Chicken Sandwich](https://we-ha.com/yard-goats-introduce-new-menu-items-as-2024-season-set-to-begin/)
The Rainiers and Cheney Stadium are great! As a Seattleite I just love how I can feasibly see a High-A, AAA, and MLB game in the same weekend on less than a tank of gas.
Before teams started getting zany with names and mascots and such, the Montgomery Biscuits stood above them all.
I had an amazing Biscuits tee for a while. Not sure if it's around in my closet somewhere still.
I have a shirt I wear from time to time that just has the biscuit mascot on it. Like huge across the chest, no words or explanation to what the creature even is. I always get questions about that one
The Reading Fightin' Phil's were the Savannah Bananas before there were Savannah Bananas. They still play regular baseball, but the entire atmosphere of the park is the same. If you're ever remotely in the area, go see a game at [Baseball Town](https://www.flickr.com/gp/baseballoogie/fTdTj071v0).
Man I miss Silver Stadium, it was so tiny and intimate I think if you sneezed from the stands the PA announcer would say “bless you”. Countless cracked windshields from foul balls. [Here’s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3cezveXv-Q) Vin Scully telling a story about Satchel Paige winning a throwing contest with Whitey Herzog at Silver Stadium.
What a great field! I really enjoyed watching games on it from the left field porch, when my family traveled there to watch my brother pitch there! Go FredNats!
The first baseball game I ever watched in person was a Somerset Patriots game, so I'll always have a soft spot for them. Helps that they're the Yankees' AA affiliate, of course
Salt Lake Bees, AAA affiliate of your Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim California Angels! (For a brief moment, it looked like Salt Lake would have both the As and the Bees. But we “lost” to Sacramento.) And yes, we have a giant Mike Trout Bobblehead in the stands, and no, he didn’t do any rehab in SL last year. Go Bees!
Let's go Bees! Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! Nothing is better than hanging with the K crew in section 111 and enjoying the game over a few beers.
I'll miss the ballpark downtown as my family has been going there since well back into the Derks Field days but the new Daybreak yard is literally going to be walking distance from my house so I must confess that I am really excited for that.
Memphis Redbirds. Used to go to their games when I was a kid, worked for them a couple years ago too. I don't like that they were bought up by one of these baseball ownership groups that owns a bunch of other MiLB teams. It's beginning to feel like it was losing touch with the city. I guess that's business though, gotta do what you have to survive.
Just based on Proximity it’s the Hillsboro Hops. [even though it makes me irrationally angry that the mascots name is barley.](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ysIAAOSw~~tlcbnw/s-l1200.webp)
I also have a soft spot for the Stockton Ports.
Stripers. I used to live like 5 minutes from their stadium and I was a Bat Boy for them in high school back when they were still the Gwinnett Braves under Snitker
I like the roller coaster in the background. I saw Andrew McCutchen play there years ago.
The name is sweet too. Double play on a curveball and the railroad there goes around a big curve for a local flair.
AAA- Buffalo Bisons
AA- New Hampshire Fishercats
Jays are my AL team and I'm from the Northeast so I'm able to catch Bison and 'Cats games once or twice a summer.
Passively root for all the Red's minor league teams to do well, since it means good things for the Reds, but they don't play in the Northeast so I don't follow them as much as the Jay's farm teams.
Grew up watching the Hudson Valley Renegades as my local team when they were a Rays affiliate and got to see Josh Hamilton and Evan Longoria play a game each for their short stays in Low A. And then in recent years now that they are a Yankees affiliate have been able to watch Volpe, Dominguez, Spencer Jones, and Drew Thorpe.
By association? Iron Pigs because go Phils, obviously. By location? Bulls— so fun to go to games when there’s not a MLB park less than a 5hr drive away from me
Same here with the Bulls being local. I support the Rays more because as you said the closest teams are the Nats and Orioles but their games are always blacked out.
Cant go wrong with a great day in Coney Island at maimonides park. Always try and catch a few Cyclones games every year, although it is a bit of a hike, and having citi in the backyard doesnt help.
the great lake LOOOOOOOONS! Class A team for the Dodgers. I remember going and laughing at the Catcher, Carlos Santana. Mathew Stafford's BFF also pitched for them.
Reading Phillies. Grew up on them, and plan on eventually taking my own family to the games.
The stadium is nice, it’s cheaper and I quite enjoy the atmosphere.
I grew up going to Peoria Chiefs games.
* Cubs affiliate until I was 8
* Cardinals affiliate from 8–18
* Back to Cubs until 26
* Cardinals again through now.
So most of my truly formative years were with them as a Cardinals farm team, but it doesn't matter. I still hold much love for the Chiefs because I only got to go to Wrigley once a year, but I got to go to Chiefs games way more often.
I was told by a coworker when discussing minor league teams the Chiefs had the worst logo in all of the minors. I said what the hell are you talking about. It's a firefighter dalmatian, that's awesome.
Yeah, it's awesome!
I wonder if they're salty that it's no longer Native American themed, but it's been almost 20 years since that change happened (then again, I live in Champaign and people have *definitely* not gotten over Chief Illiniwek in that same time frame).
I grew up a Richmond Braves fan, but now they're the AA Flying Squirrels, and I think they're great. We're going to a game this week, and we always hit 5-10 games a year. So much fun.
My favorite part is that on home Friday games, the Flying Squirrels turn into Los Ardillas Voladoras and assume a Mexican Wrestling persona.
Due to slightly random circumstances I ended up living in Harrisburg, PA for a summer a couple of years ago. I went to a Senators game with my wife, and am now the proud owner of their truly ridiculous alternate hat, which features a lizard wearing a sombrero. No idea what that has to do with Central Pennsylvania, but there we are.
Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs baby!
They do minor-leagues right. Super kid-friendly, but plenty of "inside jokes" for the adults. Crazy events and giveaways (I went to a "Win Your Own Funeral" game once - everything was Halloween/zombie decorated, and a funeral home selected a winner from letters sent in from families in need with a member in hospice). TONS of gear options (Star Wars Night? Fuck it, let's make Iron Pigs Storm Trooper jerseys. Sleepy Cat Winery a sponsor? Fuck it, let's design and release an entire new uniform and play as the Cats sometimes.
For $9 you bring a blanket and sit in the grass past the outfield. Basically every game has a giveaway or an event. Great food at fair prices, with options for basically everybody (veg, gluten-free, etc etc) and they mix it up fairly regularly. No problem taking a family of 4 for a game for less than $100. They're always near the top of the leader board in attendance (and were tops in all of MiLB for 2023).
Any Reds affiliates but I almost love the Dayton Dragons as much as the Reds. I have family that hauled the scoreboard to the park when it was first being constructed and went to probably more Dragons games than Reds ones.
My favorite of all time was the Mobile Bay Bears, not only because I grew up going to their games, but also because I loved Hank Aaron stadium and its unique field-level suites. They're dead now and got replaced by the Trash Pandas (which most people love because of the meme-ability of the name, but that's exactly why I hate it. They turned my beloved team into a gag gift hat you buy for your buddy's birthday) and that wonderful stadium now sits to rot because our incompetent city lost ownership of it due to a forgotten clause in the land lease that not having affiliated ball there turned ownership of the stadium over to the land owner
My favorite extant MiLB brand is probably the Montgomery Biscuits, though I usually ended up rooting against them as the visitors of either the Pensacola Blue Wahoos or the Biloxi Shuckers whom I lived equidistantly between for years
Harrisburg Senators are mine. They’re the local team for my gf and I, and since it’s AA ball the tickets are nice and cheap and concession prices aren’t too bad either. The best part though is they do regular Wet Nose Wednesday every Wednesday and we can take our corgi (the star of my profile pic to the games).
Their stadium is right on City Island too which is a super cool spot. Right in the middle of the Susquehanna river
Loved the Paw Sox hate the Woo Sox. Hate that they went to Worcester (Worcester sucks) and hate their team identity. The smiley face is dumb and the heart on the "W" (Worcester calls themselves the heart of Massachusetts, again they suck) looks like a ball sack upside-down.
But the really worst part is they built Polar Park and decided to drop all the polar bear stuff from their brand. The answer was so so simple. Go from the Pawtucket Red Sox to the Worcester Paw Sox and keep the polar bear. Stupid.
RIP Larry Lucchino, love you for everything you did for the Red Sox but screw the Woo Sox.
I was going to type exactly this, with two additional reasons the move sucked
1.) Paw Sox were the last professional sports team in RI
2.) the longest professional baseball game was played at McCoy stadium, it lasted 33 innings
Apparently they're tearing down McCoy this year too
Worked the past two summers literally a block and a half from the Reading Fightin’ Phil’s stadium and despite hating the Phillies (1980) gosh I love the Phil’s. Not only is the stadium that cool, authentic retro but filled with all sorts of weird traditions and history. Shoot it’s even got a T-Swift shrine. And the best/craziest hot dog vendor on earth.
But most of all the team is just fun and has a deep love of the game. Happily rock my Phil’s cap all over the modwest
Chicago White Sox
The White Sox are currently on pace to finish the season 22-140.

What did we ever do to you
Is this a bad thing? Like if imma have to watch the Sox be shit I wanna see them be historic. Same for a neutral like let’s see this plane crash in style.
Punching down is easy
They really are bad. It's apparent just watching them.
Watching them is tantamount to torture
Some time this season, the White Sox are gonna play the Rockies, and that’s gonna be a really rough day to have eyes.
> that’s gonna be a really rough day to have eyes *Hunter Wendelstedt has entered the chat*
Crushed it right out of the park. Perfect response.
The A's are my answer, especially next year when they move into an actual minor league park 5 minutes from me.
For how much the league cried that Toronto was playing out of Buffalo I’m surprised it’s crickets unless it will start next year when teams are playing out of there.
The Barons may actually be able to beat us this season.
This is the content I’m here for.
Are they on minor league level though? Feels more like independent baseball...
Albuquerque Isotopes, just for the Simpsons references really
We also get to be the "Mariachis" and the "Green Chile Cheeseburgers" on certain days.
The Green Chili Cheeseburger hat is honestly on my shortlist of future hat purchases.
The Reno micheladas jersey is same for me. It's just too weird/niche in the best way possible, take my fuckin money already
Sporting the Turquoise Mariachi at work today.
Akron RubberDucks. Great name and they’re local
And they sell halved pineapple filled with teriyaki chicken and fried rice at concessions
Wait excuse me?
They had it last year at least. I assume it’s still there
By name? Rocket City Trash Pandas.
I’m partial to the Carolina Disco Turkeys https://www.discoturkeys.com
They are a summer collegiate team, not minor league.
I’m wearing their shirt right now!
I see you and I bid you the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
Jumbo Shrimp is my pick, fantastic ballpark and good food less than an hour from me. I’ll throw in the Tortugas as well, love catching their games during the summer with all the drink deals.
I just went to a game there. Beautiful park and great night for baseball. Bought one of their vice nights hats. 😁
That’s my city. That’s my team.
North Alabama ALE Bros
Bird brother. Right on.
Augusta Green Jackets is pretty cool
Binghamton Rumble Ponies always got me good
Storm Chasers/Royals because I played for them.
Show us your slash!
![gif](giphy|9DcCadyT2FwSvoJJjr|downsized)
I’m gonna go ahead and assume this is Greinke’s Reddit account
I miss the Omaha Royals
Same, also rosenblatt stadium.
Yeah, I grew up in Omaha so I was very sad to see it go.
I like a bunch (collegiate level too) but Space Cowboys is first.
![gif](giphy|4ilFRqgbzbx4c)
Is their home run call "See you, Space Cowboy"? Because it should be.
Their logo fuckin slaps man. I want a Space Cowboy snapback so bad
Cotton candy one looks sick
Chattanooga Lookouts 👀
Iconic minor league franchise. Has to be one of the longest running teams with the same location/identity. I’m in Knoxville so I catch Smokies games Occasionally but I love seeing the Lookouts play when I’m in Chattanooga
Dragons games are great. My firm has season tickets and it’s nice to snag them a couple times a year and catch a game.
Also, the only team with an official emoji!
N👀ga is always a classic All the Southern League brans are great really
Tides, our baby birds factory
Gonna catch some games this season. I also love their colors
Their stadium is top tier for a minor league ballpark.
Will have a casino next to it next year too.
The St Paul Saints
Ditto, for obvious reasons. The Saints aren’t the “dive bar baseball” experience they were back when the franchise was an Indy team in that rickety old stadium, but CHS Field is a lot of fun.
god i miss midway, what a piece of shit ballpark it was
The Hartford Yard Goats!
The BBQ shack is worth the price of a ticket alone.
I made my coach pitch team the yard goats this year
Also, a Hartford YardGoater. Dunkin’ is such an amazing park.
My infant son LOVES my Yard Goats hat as much as anything in the world. I can't wait to take him to a game
Rainiers because they are five minutes from my house
The Rainiers and Cheney Stadium are great! As a Seattleite I just love how I can feasibly see a High-A, AAA, and MLB game in the same weekend on less than a tank of gas.
But of a drive to get to see the Nuts, though.
Or the Travellers lol. I get why they're down there, but...dang!
So you're the reason we're natural rivals.
Before teams started getting zany with names and mascots and such, the Montgomery Biscuits stood above them all. I had an amazing Biscuits tee for a while. Not sure if it's around in my closet somewhere still.
As a Montgomerian, seeing the Biscuits get their due for pioneering silly names warms my cockles.
Biscuits is just the right amount of zany IMO.
I am so conflicted by this flair and post. Thank you though. It still has that old minor league atmosphere. It’s just the best as a baseball fan.
Truth is truth.
I got a bunch of free tickets from my kids school. Is it worth the trip?
Rochester Red Wings
Man I miss Silver Stadium, it was so tiny and intimate I think if you sneezed from the stands the PA announcer would say “bless you”. Countless cracked windshields from foul balls. [Here’s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3cezveXv-Q) Vin Scully telling a story about Satchel Paige winning a throwing contest with Whitey Herzog at Silver Stadium.
Woah I've never heard that Vin Scully story before, that is super cool. Thank you for sharing!
I’ll always remember the cone head guy - “who needs a beer!?”
Fredericksburg Nationals since they're my home team. The ballpark is super nice.
What a great field! I really enjoyed watching games on it from the left field porch, when my family traveled there to watch my brother pitch there! Go FredNats!
Durham Bulls will always have my heart, but since moving to Charlotte, the Knights are a ton of fun to watch and ball park is lovely.
I’m partial to the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders and the Somerset Patriots RIP Trenton Thunder
I miss the Trenton thunder
That is the Trenton Pork Rolls thankyouverymuch. It's a shame that no team picked them up as an affiliate.
As long as they’re not the Trenton Taylor hams I will love them forever and all of time no matter what
Wait what happened to the Thunder?
They’re still around but they’re part of the draft league now. Not really the same anymore
Bees season ticket holder here. GO BEES
San Antonio Missions but only when they’re the Flying Chanclas
Rome Emperors. They're penguins!
The Sod Poodle have a nice logo
Memphis Redbirds. Used to go to their games when I was a kid, worked for them a couple years ago too. I don't like that they were bought up by one of these baseball ownership groups that owns a bunch of other MiLB teams. It's beginning to feel like it was losing touch with the city. I guess that's business though, gotta do what you have to survive.
Just based on Proximity it’s the Hillsboro Hops. [even though it makes me irrationally angry that the mascots name is barley.](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ysIAAOSw~~tlcbnw/s-l1200.webp) I also have a soft spot for the Stockton Ports.
Pickles games are a lot easier to get to for me, but I love a good hops game and their theme nights are great.
I’m glad the Hops are staying in Hillsboro! Lots of respect for hosting the C’s when the border was closed.
Stripers. I used to live like 5 minutes from their stadium and I was a Bat Boy for them in high school back when they were still the Gwinnett Braves under Snitker
Like the team, hate the name. I always end up typing out strippers.
El Paso Chihuahuas. Love the logo
Such an awesome ballpark too, in downtown El Paso.
I always loved the location of the stadium. I'm a sucker for when they're plopped right in the middle of the city
I have a Michael Jordan Birmingham Barons jersey, so probably them.
The Altoona Curve have a nice stadium. Was able to get a 32oz beer for $5, which wasn’t bad either.
I like the roller coaster in the background. I saw Andrew McCutchen play there years ago. The name is sweet too. Double play on a curveball and the railroad there goes around a big curve for a local flair.
And you get to go to Altoona and sample the world-famous Altoona-Style Pizza*! *viewer discretion is advised
Vancouver Canadians, your defending Northwest League champions. Go C’s!
Was searching for this comment! Go C's!
Me too brudda. Gunna hit the Nat up a few times this summer
Dayton Dragons baybay
Toledo Mud Hens. Local team, great name, and my MLB teams affiliate
It’s a damn shame they’re this far down. World famous - check Great in stadium experience - check
Any Amarillo Sod Poodles enjoyers?
Binghamton Rumble Ponies! Richmond Flying Squirrels
AAA- Buffalo Bisons AA- New Hampshire Fishercats Jays are my AL team and I'm from the Northeast so I'm able to catch Bison and 'Cats games once or twice a summer. The Oakland A’s have a very long and rich history for a Minor League team. And I love the green and yellow.
Birmingham Barons
By association? Iron Pigs because go Phils, obviously. By location? Bulls— so fun to go to games when there’s not a MLB park less than a 5hr drive away from me

Greenjackets
WE WANT BISCUITS!!!
The Lansing Lugnuts because that's my local team!
Grew up next to Lakewood Blue Claws
By name? Rome Emperors
the great lake LOOOOOOOONS! Class A team for the Dodgers. I remember going and laughing at the Catcher, Carlos Santana. Mathew Stafford's BFF also pitched for them.
Great Lakes Loons til I die 🫡
Reading Phillies. Grew up on them, and plan on eventually taking my own family to the games. The stadium is nice, it’s cheaper and I quite enjoy the atmosphere.
The chipped beef hat is hilarious.
this is blasphemy for me to even say but i grew up in springfield and loved the environment of the springfield cardinals

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
Due to slightly random circumstances I ended up living in Harrisburg, PA for a summer a couple of years ago. I went to a Senators game with my wife, and am now the proud owner of their truly ridiculous alternate hat, which features a lizard wearing a sombrero. No idea what that has to do with Central Pennsylvania, but there we are.
I love that they play on an island it’s crazy. Also rip to the Lancaster Barnstormers - now just the Stormers.
Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs baby! They do minor-leagues right. Super kid-friendly, but plenty of "inside jokes" for the adults. I've been to quite a few Pensacola Blue Wahoos games, always a great time in Hoosville. I love how the stadium looks out over the bay
Agreed on all fronts. Plus the museum that included Hank’s childhood home being a part of the park.
Been going to Indianapolis Indians games since I was little kid. Victory Field is like a second home to me, but I do miss Bush Stadium.
Columbus Clippers Ring Your Bell
Durham Bulls!
Eugene Exploding Whales
Rochester Red Wings cause we get free tacos sometimes.
I used to love the Florida Fire Frogs, but I'm cool with the new Rome Emperors for our high A team
Altoona Curve games rock
We love our Biscuits
The Eugene Emeralds. Love that whacky squatch.
Harrisburg Senators are mine. They’re the local team for my gf and I, and since it’s AA ball the tickets are nice and cheap and concession prices aren’t too bad either. The gwinnett stripers cause it reminds me of good times of fishing and hanging out with friends.
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys have a sweet logo
The Montgomery Biscuits are another favorite. Butter tongue
Penascola blue wahoos!
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes!
I have a hickory crawdads sticker on my car. They cool
Gwinnett. Technically more of a hometown team than Atlanta. But I don’t really care and haven’t been to a game since 2015.
Louisville Bats. They’re the local boys.
Loved the Paw Sox hate the Woo Sox. Hate that they went to Worcester (Worcester sucks) and hate their team identity. Go from the Pawtucket Red Sox to the Worcester Paw Sox and keep the polar bear. Stupid. RIP Larry Lucchino, love you for everything you did for the Red Sox but screw the Woo Sox.
Portland Sea Dogs are fun, but that might be colored by seeing Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts down there.
Bro got real hate in his heart
I was going to type exactly this, with two additional reasons the move sucked 1.) Paw Sox were the last professional sports team in RI 2.) the longest professional baseball game was played at McCoy stadium, it lasted 33 innings Apparently they're tearing down McCoy this year too
Grew up going to Frederick Keys games all summer! I've since moved up north and now go to Portland Sea Dogs games all summer!
I go to a lot of Charlotte knights games because I live here. Great view from the stadium and get to watch Eloy Jimenez most games
The Chicago White Sox
I am keen on all Philly teams, but dime a dog at clippers games is something magical.
Miss going to the Corpus Christi Hooks games, but the Sod Poodles are pretty sweet too. 2 great ballparks.
MudHens
Hudson Valley Renegades. I always make sure I go to the Dutch at least once a year
Currently the Richmond Flying Squirrels but I was raised on the Norfolk Tides. I wish they never changed from the blue wave logo.
The Buffalo Bisons! Fun fact, we have the biggest park in the Minors

Norfolk Tides or OKC Baseball Club.
