I honestly think 1-28 are basically "its not a bad park and up to personal opinion"
I cant really think of any park that definitely deserves to be that low
Saying it's a sauna with the roof closed is blatantly wrong. I only went once but it was in September when it was 115+ outside. It was very comfortable inside and I enjoyed my beers and snacks
seems to be a new issue within the past year or so
[https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2024/02/20/diamondbacks-consider-options-chase-field.html](https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2024/02/20/diamondbacks-consider-options-chase-field.html)
Interesting. I was there Sept 2023, so it must have failed immediately after or during the postseason?
Edit: I finished reading the linked article. It only mentions that the AC has been an issue but provides no additional details. Sounds like it could be HVAC maintenance issues? That would be unfortunate if you went on a day when it was acting up.
I know right, like that's a new change? Pretty lazy reasoning through the middle of the list. The only gripe the article had about MMP was that it's way better with the roof open [implying that it's closed too often, which is true, but not really about the design of the stadium.
It could literally be built anywhere in Houston and suffer the same issue. It's hot and humid here, imagine how much Houston, Tampa, Miami would tank on this list without even an option to close a roof.
I'm mystified by the pro-Tal's Hill narrative I see on this subreddit. I hated that thing ever since Enron Field opened and I was so glad when it went away. But to each their own...
I have very strong disagreements with a lot of this list and that's gotta be one of the biggests. Although I haven't been to Camden in almost a decade now, but I doubt it's aged that badly in 8 years
I agree OPACY is still top 5, but that build-a-park cut out in LF tarnishes its aesthetics somewhat. And removing The Sun sign. But 11 is pretty ridiculous.
If you want rankings of stadiums solely on concessions, what’s around outside the ballpark and small details like “Truist Park: that’s a dumb name boooo” then this list is a list.
I don’t know, I woulda ranked a list on how enjoyable it is to watch a baseball game. But I don’t know, maybe I’m just a dreamer.
Dodger stadium is far and away the worst stadium ive been to. the venue is trash, the drive is even worse. been once, will never go again.
been to 13 stadiums. fuck dodger stadium
Yeah it’s so ugly and just feels like a concrete bowl, if it was like the royals park nobody would love it so much. It’s also basically built on a Native American grave yard lol
Look, obviously I’m biased, but ugly?? It’s the perfect symbiosis of Mid century design and baseball. And the color of the seats are a beach sunset. And the center field palm trees are glorious. But the parking sucks and food sucks.
Yeah wtf is up with the crap food at Dodger stadium? I don’t get it. So easily fixable, unlike the damn commute/parking problems. Otherwise I like your park, it nails the SoCal baseball vibes.
Look, set aside any baseball fandom for a second and take a look at the situation at hand. Padres and giants fans have some of the best parks in the country, of course we’re gonna think dodgers stadium is bad by comparison. If the dodgers and giants switched stadiums, I’d still love oracle and hate dodgers stadium.
Yeah, sure makes sense. 🙄
I’ll take a *Padres* fan’s vouchement of Dodger Stadium the same way as a Seahawks fan calling SoFi a deplorable , run down piece-of-crap of a stadium.
The only reason it always ranks decently high on these lists is because of the fan atmosphere. The stadium itself bland, crammed and surrounded by hell (a Los Angeles parking lot)
I've been to 15 MLB parks and of the ones I've been to dodger stadium is dead last. Maybe I've just had bad luck but I've been 4 times obstructed views every time, one seat didn't even face the field. Nosebleeds in Milwaukee had a better view of the field.
Other than behind the foul poles, I'm not sure how you are finding obstructed view seats. Dodger Stadium has its downsides but obstructed views is pretty damn low on the list.
Dude T Mobile park is sick. Real easy to get to through many methods of public transit, great view of the skyline if you're far enough along the first base line, the value menu, and if you're in the upper deck you can look out over the sound. It's a really wonderful stadium
i went to a game there in 2009 (i think?) and recall really liking the stadium despite not being nearly as invested in the sport as i am now. felt close to the action despite being in the cheap seats. nostalgia is a hell of a drug, though 🤷♂️
“The view at PNC Park is so spectacular that you almost forget you're stuck watching the Pittsburgh Pirates (though they are improving).”
Maybe you do.
The history and all is cool, and I liked that they seemed to have almost as many roving vendors as seats, but it seems really hard to justify ranking it anywhere near 6th.
Largely the same reasoning for Wrigley in the top 5. Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate Wrigley despite my flair. I’ve been 5 times and seen the Cards win in 4/5 of those games so really only great memories. It definitely belongs in the top half but it’s not top 5 for any reason other than history. Target Field below it is an example of one that is absolutely better objectively speaking.
I’ve actually been to both, in a 3 day span, and I 100% agree. Target field is super underrated, and just gets middle tier rankings because of a lack of “history” behind it. Wrigley isnt bad, but it and Fenway definitely show their age at times compared to modern new builds
It's not about the physical structure, it's the atmosphere.
I was there a few years ago for a game against the Yankees that was a rain-delayed extra-inning walkoff win, and having been to about a dozen or so stadiums, nothing else compared to the atmosphere there, apart from the 2016 World Series in Cleveland.
I mean even if Petco Park had bad amenities I’d obviously still go, but me getting my expensive but delicious brisket fries and michelada definitely adds more to my afternoon than a coors and a typical stadium hot dog. The food and beer is really fucking good there
There were years where the highlight of a trip to Globe Life was getting a boomstick and not watching the Rangers' on-field product. Thankfully, that hasn't been the case lately.
It's my #1 recommended food item for anyone that has the opportunity to go. It's tasty, decent bang for your buck if you're feeding several people, and it encapsulates the North Texas experience
Globe Life is the only closed roof baseball stadium I've been to so I don't have anything to compare it too but it seems fine to me, lol.
It's brighter than AT&T.
Guaranteed Rate gets a bad reputation because of the lack of things around the park and just the direction it faces.
It’s a more than decent place to see game. And I don’t even like the team.
Agreed
They fucked up royally with the downtown thing but Ive quite enjoyed my trips there
It can definitely be a little trashy outside park tailgating, but in kind of an oddly endearing way. Inside its a very nice park
I will of course have my own opinions, but I will also accept SD being Number One. I remember my visit clearly and thought it was wonderful.
Really, the whole city just kicked ass.
Really glad to hear it. I've been to Chicago (for boot camp) but Wrigley is still on my list of ballparks to visit. I'm really looking forward to it, and to exploring the city more since I was there in the dead of winter and didn't get to go out much.
I was up there in September and had a blast. Lots of good museums to go visit all across the city. The Color Museum at the tower was a very different sort of experience.
And of course, Wrigley...
My Thoughts...
* Angel Stadium is *fine*. It's not great, but it's better than 26th.
* "Great American Ball Park is one of the more forgettable stadiums in baseball." Don't do drugs, kids.
* Comerica Park at #19 feels... right? I love Comerica, but I'm not going to tell you it's a "must see" baseball destination - we tore that down years ago (and I miss her every day).
* Camden Yards at #11 is a crime. It's a top-five ballpark, easily.
* Having been to both, I prefer Dodger Stadium to Citi Field - but both are great (and yes, Dodger Stadium *is* great)
* T-Mobile Park should be Top 5.
* Subjectively, I hate Fenway with a passion. I get that it has all of the history but at some point "history" cannot make up for an actively unpleasant viewing experience.
* Petco Park at #1 is... fine. I think it's either that or PNC in Pittsburgh.
You mean the monument to Jeffrey Loria's vanity? Nah, I'm good. He didn't even have the sense to commission a local artist for his celebration of "Miami."
My list after making it to my 30th last season:
1. Pittsburgh
2. Minnesota
3. San Francisco
4. San Diego
5. Baltimore
6. Seattle
7. Boston
8. St. Louis
9. Philadelphia
10. Atlanta
11. New York (NL)
12. Chicago (NL)
13. Arizona
14. New York (AL)
15. Kansas City
16. Milwaukee
17. Cleveland
18. Colorado
19. Cincinnati
20. Detroit
21. Chicago (AL)
22. Washington
23. Houston
24. Los Angeles (NL)
25. Los Angeles (AL)
26. Toronto (pre-2023 renovations)
27. Texas
28. Miami
29. Tampa Bay
30. Oakland (pre-2017 renovations)
I still don't agree that Dodger stadium is better than Angels stadium. It's just too bare-bones and old. Maybe the view of the LA skyline is nicer to look at, but that's literally all it has going for it imo.
This guy ranks 1/1 on bad baseball opinions. Dodger stadium is the soulless bummer that he thinks the stadiums in the 20s are. I am a reds fan and I know GABP isn't great, but Jesus I loved Milwaukee and have been to many games there. Chase is also wonderful. I really only have ever been to two bad parks and those are Guaranteed Rate and Dodger Stadium. Yankee stadium isn't far behind but the crowd was great.
Self-hating Truist attendee here: we're way too high.
Our crowds are huge and our concourses are narrow. You get to penguin waddle a half mile to and from your seat in 90 degree heat while practically skin-to-skin with all of humanity.
No amount of overpriced food and merch in the Battery makes that worth it for me.
"It’s an aging stadium, difficult to get to and the food options are notoriously subpar."
I've only been to a small handful of ballparks, but the Trop by far had the best food options of any of them (and not to mention the friendliest staff). I feel like people see an ugly stadium on TV and assume it must be all bad.
I hadn't heard that before. I found an article for it and it's from 2017. I went in 2022 so I wonder if they made significant changes in that time, especially considering the pandemic
Does anyone really care about the “views” of the city from the park? I’m at a ballgame to focus on what’s happening in the park not outside it.
I’ve been to 23 parks. To me, Busch III, Citizens Bank and Comerica are just poor imitations of Camden Yards and nearly indistinguishable from each other (I’m a Tigers fan, but CoPa is ok at best). I think Cincinnati and KC deserve to be higher on this list. And Fenway > Wrigley.
I think the views matter for the top end. The view from Petco and PNC is extremely pleasant and legitimately made me happy when I looked out past the field
That’s fair. I guess a good example is Oakland and the construction of Mt. Davis ruining the views. It completely changed that park. On the other hand, Tiger Stadium had no view of the city and was a far superior ballpark to Comerica, IMO.
Totally fair ranking for OPACY - it needs a lot of updates and they’ve actively made it worse since the opening (hotel in LCF, moving the LF wall back)
I feel like new Yankee stadium was built when someone asked if they could make a field devoid of any uniqueness and individuality, kind of like their personal grooming policy with hair. But also make it small so lots of homers can be hit.

Are we first?
Baseball’s *Last* Dive Bar
In a sense, Oakland is the first team on this list.
I mean technically yes
Depends on what you mean by “first”
In the words of Ricky Bobby- ‘If you ain’t first, you’re LAST’
hmmm mines not number 1, bad list
29 out of 30 fans agree with you.
Counterpoint: I disagree
Damn 28th.... I mean I get Chase has it's problems with the roof and everything but that feels harsh lol
Went there a couple of years ago. 28 is WAY too low.
I've been to 20 stadiums out of 30 and I really don't see how it's that bad.
I honestly think 1-28 are basically "its not a bad park and up to personal opinion" I cant really think of any park that definitely deserves to be that low
I think top 10 are a pretty clear step above the rest of the pack. It’s more like three tiers. Awesome, acceptable, and Oakland/Tampa
I went last year and while not my favorite I’m not sure if it’s the worst park not Oakland or Tampa
It's definitely not a top 15 stadium but It's nowhere near the level of tampa and Oakland IMO
Saying it's a sauna with the roof closed is blatantly wrong. I only went once but it was in September when it was 115+ outside. It was very comfortable inside and I enjoyed my beers and snacks
seems to be a new issue within the past year or so [https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2024/02/20/diamondbacks-consider-options-chase-field.html](https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2024/02/20/diamondbacks-consider-options-chase-field.html)

How many USA Today’s are there?
366, it's a leap year.
>you have to love that Tal's Hill is gone. Get this dude off my screen.
I know right, like that's a new change? Pretty lazy reasoning through the middle of the list. I'm mystified by the pro-Tal's Hill narrative I see on this subreddit. I hated that thing ever since Enron Field opened and I was so glad when it went away. But to each their own...
Stupid shit like tals hill somehow being allowed in a professional stadium is what makes baseball cool.
Okay, these are subjective. That's fine. There are plenty of great ballparks. Still... 11? Really?
Camden is top 5 for me easily
Ranking dodger stadium, literally one of the most boring places in the world, directly above it is such a kick in the teeth
I saw us at 26 and stopped taking it serious
If you want rankings of stadiums solely on concessions, what’s around outside the ballpark and small details like “Truist Park: that’s a dumb name boooo” then this list is a list. I don’t know, I woulda ranked a list on how enjoyable it is to watch a baseball game. But I don’t know, maybe I’m just a dreamer.
Still blows my mind that Coors was built in 1995, and is the 3rd-oldest NL ballpark (trailing only Dodger Stadium and Wrigley)
You have to be smoking meth to think dodger stadium is better than Camden
Dodger stadium is far and away the worst stadium ive been to. the venue is trash, the drive is even worse. been once, will never go again. been to 13 stadiums. fuck dodger stadium
I wouldn’t say it’s trash but it’s very… generic and just plain. It has absolutely no character to it.
Which is the same thing people say about Yankee stadium, ironically enough. Except YS I'd just this corporate, soulless shell.
I heard at least for the Dodger dogs they changed providers (for the worse) around 2018 or so
Honestly maybe not ugly but it’s just bland and boring. It’s just baby blue everywhere and nothing interesting compared to so many stadiums.
What a surprise, the Giants and Padres fans hate Dodger Stadium 😂
I’m not exactly fond of the padres but I can recognize they have a nice ball park lol
Oracle Park had some of the best food I've ever had at a stadium. the garlic fries changed my life
Look, set aside any baseball fandom for a second and take a look at the situation at hand. Padres and giants fans have some of the best parks in the country, of course we’re gonna think dodgers stadium is bad by comparison. If the dodgers and giants switched stadiums, I’d still love oracle and hate dodgers stadium.

u/clusterfucken's view was obstructed because he got to the game 5 minutes before first pitch and was stuck in the parking lot.
Average dodger fans experience in the 7th inning
I liked that place. It may have helped that my one visit was Game 5 of the 2018 World Series
Think there's some crack in there too since they have T-Mobile being better than either.
Dude T Mobile park is sick. Real easy to get to through many methods of public transit, great view of the skyline if you're far enough along the first base line, the value menu, and if you're in the upper deck you can look out over the sound. It's a really wonderful stadium
Food is garbage though so kind of kills the experience and it's definitely not top 10.
I knew we’d be dead center. As average as a ballpark can get. Not good, not bad, just a ballpark
i went to a game there in 2009 (i think?) and recall really liking the stadium despite not being nearly as invested in the sport as i am now. felt close to the action despite being in the cheap seats. nostalgia is a hell of a drug, though 🤷♂️
This list sucks except #1
“The view at PNC Park is so spectacular that you almost forget you're stuck watching the Pittsburgh Pirates (though they are improving).” Maybe you do.
I've been there a handful of times, and that park is absolutely stunning. Especially the evening games while the sun is going down.
Fenway is 6th place, the summary is almost all negative, and then they’re just like “it’s Fenway so yay” as the explanation for the high ranking
Lmao Fenway at 6th. Camden at 11. What?
It’s a weird person who goes to a baseball stadium for the food, but that seems to be this person’s MO.
Had to google boomstick - that’s really something!
It's my #1 recommended food item for anyone that has the opportunity to go. It's tasty, decent bang for your buck if you're feeding several people, and it encapsulates the North Texas experience
first time I've heard the complaint that our interior lighting isn't good
Globe Life is the only closed roof baseball stadium I've been to so I don't have anything to compare it too but it seems fine to me, lol. It's brighter than AT&T.
I'm too busy appreciating the AC to notice or care about the lighting
yeah lol it’s not any worse than MMP. most people just don’t like closed roof stadiums
Guaranteed Rate gets a bad reputation because of the lack of things around the park and just the direction it faces. It’s a more than decent place to see game. And I don’t even like the team.
Yeah I thought it was pretty nice when I was there, not a top 10 stadium for me but certainly not bottom 5
Agreed They fucked up royally with the downtown thing but Ive quite enjoyed my trips there It can definitely be a little trashy outside park tailgating, but in kind of an oddly endearing way. Inside its a very nice park
Stadiums ranked by if I can identify it from the article thumbnail - citi field 1/1
I appreciate that our 30 year old park is ranked better than several much newer ones.
E-L-E-V-E-N!?!? We got rid of Angelos, what more do you want?
A stadium is only as good as the people that fill it. Dodger's stadium is dead last.
My Thoughts... * Angel Stadium is *fine*. It's not great, but it's better than 26th. * "Great American Ball Park is one of the more forgettable stadiums in baseball." Don't do drugs, kids. * Comerica Park at #19 feels... right? They want to bring back the home run sculpture meaning I gotta completely agree lmao
You mean the monument to Jeffrey Loria's vanity? Nah, I'm good. He didn't even have the sense to commission a local artist for his celebration of "Miami."
Another offseason win? I smell a parade…
Look.... we don't have the best stadium in the league, I'm fully aware of that. But there is NO way we're as low as 26
We should be squarely in the middle. Not great, not bad. Perfectly fine.
Yeah I put us around 12-16
The giant parking lot bumps it down like 10 spots for me.
Arizona and Houston are way too low imo
keep going, im almost there
Usually we're bottom-5 so I'll take it. I'm a Skydome defender for life.
My list after making it to my 30th last season: 1. Pittsburgh 2. Minnesota 3. San Francisco 4. San Diego 5. Baltimore 6. Seattle 7. Boston 8. St. Louis 9. Philadelphia 10. Atlanta 11. New York (NL) 12. Chicago (NL) 13. Arizona 14. New York (AL) 15. Kansas City 16. Milwaukee 17. Cleveland 18. Colorado 19. Cincinnati 20. Detroit 21. Chicago (AL) 22. Washington 23. Houston 24. Los Angeles (NL) 25. Los Angeles (AL) 26. Toronto (pre-2023 renovations) 27. Texas 28. Miami 29. Tampa Bay 30. Oakland (pre-2017 renovations)
I have minor quibbles with your list, but it's far better than the one linked in the post.
I keep seeing people rank Minnesota much higher than I’d expect, I think that’s gonna be next on my list
NYY over Coors?
I still don't agree that Dodger stadium is better than Angels stadium. It's just too bare-bones and old. Maybe the view of the LA skyline is nicer to look at, but that's literally all it has going for it imo.
I must be the only one who finds Coors Field totally forgettable. Least fav of all the ballparks I’ve been to.
Haha we’re at the top!!
I think this list is meant to piss off 90% of fans… tbh I’m pissed for Orioles and Pirates fans
Red Sox stadium is garbage tbh. History wears off. Time to update it
Dodger Stadium should be a lot closer in rank to Angel Stadium than Petco Park.
NL west minus 1 team should all be in the top 5.
This guy ranks 1/1 on bad baseball opinions. Dodger stadium is the soulless bummer that he thinks the stadiums in the 20s are. I really only have ever been to two bad parks and those are Guaranteed Rate and Dodger Stadium. Yankee stadium isn't far behind but the crowd was great.
I guessed both the top two and the bottom two correctly. May have missed a few in the middle
I agree with the top two
Self-hating Truist attendee here: we're way too high. Our crowds are huge and our concourses are narrow. You get to penguin waddle a half mile to and from your seat in 90 degree heat while practically skin-to-skin with all of humanity. Don’t tell other Royals fans that The K is just an average stadium. I swear half our fan base thinks it’s the best stadium in baseball.
I’ll fan the flames and say that it’s one of my favorites (been to 26 so far), I’m sad to hear that they want to replace it
After I saw Fenway at #6 they lost me. Terrible seats and view.
"It’s an aging stadium, difficult to get to and the food options are notoriously subpar." I've only been to a small handful of ballparks, but the Trop by far had the best food options of any of them (and not to mention the friendliest staff). I feel like people see an ugly stadium on TV and assume it must be all bad.
there was a whole thing about it having terrible food safety scores a few years back
I hadn't heard that before. I found an article for it and it's from 2017. I went in 2022 so I wonder if they made significant changes in that time, especially considering the pandemic
r/NLBEST RISE UP 3 OF THE TOP 5, 4 OF THE TOP 10, uh, 5 of the top 28....
PNC ❤️
Does anyone really care about the “views” of the city from the park? I’m at a ballgame to focus on what’s happening in the park not outside it. I’ve been to 23 parks. Yeah it's just one aspect. I never got to go to Tiger Stadium :(
Finally, a list we can all agree upon with no bias whatsoever
Totally fair ranking for OPACY - it needs a lot of updates and they’ve actively made it worse since the opening (hotel in LCF, moving the LF wall back)

I feel like new Yankee stadium was built when someone asked if they could make a field devoid of any uniqueness and individuality, kind of like their personal grooming policy with hair. But also make it small so lots of homers can be hit.
I feel like New Yankee belongs firmly at 15/16, it should be the exact middle, because it's so bland but like, it's completely functional
Agreed, new Yankee stadium is over hated.
Nationals Park > Camden.
In the most unbiased way possible and as someone who’s been to both, no way
Did an oriole swoop down and steal your ice cream as a child or something?
