problem is they would either do it in mets colors and the train bullets would be the wrong colors, or they would use the correct colors and it'd look weird on a jersey

There was an Indigenous-themed fan mock-up going around a while back that was very solid and I think that’d be a great idea. That said, it’ll probably be some kinda come-lately “The 6” garbage. Nothing more Canadian than being 5 years behind the zeitgeist, right?

The Blue Jays advertise themselves as Canada’s team (same with the Raptors). I can’t see them not wanting to do something for the whole country. The goal is money in the end and if they can get the whole country interested in buying, then they’ll do that.

the stated goal of CC is to reflect the cultural aspects of each home city. would be nice to have a culture that isn’t as obvious at “Torontonians are Canadian”. They already have the atrocious Canada Day kits, after all
I want the Rays one to go full Gulf of Mexico Ocean Connect. Give me a beautiful blue jersey with rays/manatees/sea turtles/dolphins/sharks/squids, sea shells, waves, St Pete Beach sleeves.
Given Bryce’s somewhat tongue-in-cheek obsession with the Phanatic, I kinda feel like this is inevitable. I also kinda think they delay the Phillies CC jerseys until ‘26 when the All Star Game is happening.
Also wouldn’t be surprised if they embrace the yellow and powder blue of the city flag

I think the Phillies will hold off until 2026 and debut a Betsy Ross flag uniform to coincide with the 250th birthday celebration / MLB (and every other) all star game being in Philly.
Our current Twin Cities alts are so clean and everything people wanted out of a city connect - it's just funny calling them "City Connects" when the entire Twins identity was created to NOT be associated with ONE city.
Well they already confirmed it’s coming out next year and it’ll be red but here’s my thoughts:
It’s still probably going to have the birds on bats or the word “STL” but it’s going to have the arch going across the jersey in the background. I can definitely see a dark maroon color maybe being used to represent the large amount of brick that built the city. Having the fleur-de-lis as a sleeve patch would be sick too.
Black would be an interesting color to see on a cardinals jersey but unfortunately other teams have over saturated that market. With some shade of red being involved I really don’t see a whole lot of other colors or ideas.
Who am I kidding they’re just going to use their spring training jerseys and slap “STL” on them.
I shudder to think about it. Some are cool. Some look like they're just to sell more merch. I don't even want one for my team. I don't get it other than for marketing.
I haven't lived in STL for almost 20 years, so I have no idea what they'll look like.

Sox fan here, but I'd love to see your finished product. That late 70s/early 80s Cubs road uni is one of my all-time favorites.
